- I found these in a skip in 2021, over 60 years since they were made, and a few rebuilds later, let's give these old girls one last run!

Soon as anyone says Hoover 1334 I get excited.
Soon as I heard they were lying on a skip I got very excited too!
I checked the serial numbers against a chart I have for pre 1963 Hoovers and those two serial numbers starting KL100000 and KL89000 are both very very early examples of the 1334 from late 1958. They would have originally been rose pink and you can still see the pink recline pedal rubber on the first one you showed along with the original (broken) pink cord entry grommet. At some point later in time both have had the bags replaced, but with those serial numbers and the very early style on off switch design, they are indeed both original rose pink models from the first year of 1334 production.
Oooh nice! Bless them they were ready to not be a vacuum anymore, but their on ebay right now if anyone wants to save them, they just need a repaint!

Tbh spares hoarding was the aim of the game! I've got 5 more juniors to refurb (10 more videos for us all...) and am going to need some! The motors came up nicely though, their tucked away safely. If they had been original it'd have been a different story but I bet the same is true for Kirby, some are just breakers and better for it

I’m on the search for a part for my Hoover junior just like the ones in your video. I’m not savvy on part names so , it’s the part that holds the belt onto the shaft that is missing. Perhaps a service is due although my mother used to have it serviced regularly. Thanks.
Hi! You want a new Belt Spindle. There are some in ebay but their machine specific-ish so make sure you know the model number (uxxxx). Give the old girl a service! I thought benchy was retired
This was filmed a while ago, it's been moved down the list a bit since then!
I saw being thrown out a Beldray stick vac and sadly I couldn't take it a Hoover Ranger, but I was taking the dogs for a walk so it would've been difficult. Wait I thought Benchy was no longer with us!
Always a shame when you can't take vacs. I remember being in Amsterdam and a flipping nice rare looking Dutch miele was lying in a skip... Stupid younger me should have boxed it up and posted it home but then there would have been less money for beer... This must have been filmed when the shell of benchy was lying around, he's gone to a good home now, he was saved!
The hoover ranger was chucked out of the same house as the Beldray! 😂
