Yes, that sounds very much how my Powerage pipes sound. I recently put my baffles back in because I prefer the way it sounds, although there isn't as much crackle on the overun. My fuel consumption is certainly lower with these pipes but you may be correct about the reason why, they just sound so good that I can't help giving it a fist full at every opportunity
Very much inspired by your video and finally compelled to buy powerage short black silencer for my Black Ray version, waiting eagerly, it's in transit for last 5 days😢
Very good explanations. And thanks for what I've always said about the mechanical audio sound versus the human ear. Huge difference in sound. You'd need a professional sound studio to get the human ear quality on mechanical. Cell phones do NO justice for sound in recording video. Baffles out is my ticket for this bike.
They are good too! This was a purely logical purchase. Indian traffic is always bumper to bumper. Esp in New Delhi. So chances of someone scratching your shiny new exhausts are rather high. So brushed finished ones for me. And I can add a few more scratches on top and blend it with the overall finish. 😎
Sounds great with the baffles out. But as you say probably a little to loud. Maybe cut the baffles down a little might sound great. But again as you say hard to tell through audio I'm just hearing it with my phone speaker.
I am in California. I went with the K&N performance air filter and the Dustland Roadrunner slip-ons for my Interceptor. Baffle in. I was getting a lot of crackles and pops when shifting. I recently added the FuelX Pro to help with the ECU mapping to see if that helped. Less crackles and pops. Great video - what camera are you using?
Greetings brother! Thank you for watching the video. :) I’m using a GoPro hero 8 for the rider perspective, and the ones towards the end of the video, the fly by have been shot with an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I do get pops and crackles but very rarely. So far I haven’t researched in ECUs, but that is also because I visit the mountains twice in a year where stock map works the best. I’ll share a video of a friend where he explains why that happens. Hence I don’t want to change the ECUs But Thank you so much for sharing your experience and for watching the video. @@SrinivasGanesh I know about SS Motocorp from Abhinav itself. just a follow up question. Are the catalytic converters missing for all full system exhausts? Even SS Motocorp?
I don’t believe that there is a drop in the torque after installing any aftermarket exhaust. Rather, It increases the mid range torque. This is, in my opinion, one of the best aftermarket exhausts for RE Twins. I say go for it. :)
Hey, Srini. You have absolutely no idea how many times I've watched this very video. I recently owned an Inty Mark 2 and I happened to see this video. Since then, I have always wanted to upgrade my exhaust. Not that I don't like the stock ones. It certainly has that sweet twin rumble without overpowering at any rpm. Just wished it had more. Then I started researching about the aftermarket options and some of the exhausts sound like shiet (personal preference, ofc), completely ruining the twin characteristic and making it sound like a pulsar on steroids. I shortlisted the AEW and PoweRage and finally, just ordered the PoweRage short ones in polished aluminium as the brushed one won't do justice to my Mark 2. Very well edited and executed video. Just wondering where did you get your cool accent from? Have you ever been outside? :)
hahaha I'm a chameleon when it comes to accents. Just so that it makes the listener more comfortable in theirs. Makes my content more relatable to them. Yes, been outside many times. :)
Hey man , i am considering to change my exhausts for weight reduction , i dont really want the exhaust to sound like a fartcan or it to be bloody loud . How's your experience with powerage , will u reccomend it ?
If you see the comments on the videos I have posted on YT and on my instagram, the link of which is also there on my YT, I have always recommended people to go for this exhaust. It is very good!
Hello Srini, love your videos and your bike. recently bought Powerage after watching your videos. Absolutely love the sound. However after the upgrade noticed slight increase in fuel tank temp. Is this normal? Do you observe increase in temp if fuel tank. Note running BMC airfilter along with fuel x - Map at 5
Interesting to see a 150/70-18 Tire, did you make any other changes to accomodate the tire or it fits perfectly on stock rims? Also, is there a room to fit 110 for the front?
OEM filter is paper. It is good, but instead of cleaning and reusing (which is much cheaper) you’ll have to replace the entire air filter every month or so. Performance airfilter are one time buy which you can clean and reuse as you can see in my latest video about maintaining performance filters.
Bhai where do you get your bike serviced in Gurgaon Will the service center guys have some issue as one might have removed the OEM exhausts and have replaced it with Powerage exhausts Can the service center deny you from service?
I get it serviced from Delhi. Saket service centre. You can get it serviced from Speedmonks performance centre in Gurgaon. They are amazing in servicing all high end motorcycles. No service centre will deny you service regardless of any aftermarket product you might have installed on the motorcycle. They will only deny ‘installing’ any aftermarket product. Meaning if you want to install new exhausts, RE service center will not help you. It’s a different case if you take your Royal Enfield to a Honda service center. 🤣
Hey Sri, hope all is well at your end. While I love the sound of the aftermarket exhausts, I am someone who would try and keep my vehicles as 'stock' as possible. With time, as I rev-match (and I live in the mountains), I have noticed that the sound of the stock exhaust has changed and mind you I have done only 2.5k kms on it so far. The sound of the exhausts has more base in higher gear and thump in lower. I believe its because of rev-matching, let me know what you think.
Yes, when I rode to Spiti, I too changed the exhausts back to oem cans. Reason being the colder air at higher altitude. Which then ensures smooth and optimum burning of fuel, else with the aftermarket exhausts, the fuel doesn’t get burnt properly and as a result mileage will drop down quite a bit. And yes the sound does change over a period of time. It is normal. :) thank you for watching the video!
@@SrinivasGanesh That's been a constant issue which folks have been facing and changing back to the stock... But how is the difference as such in the plains? I meant in terms of how you feel while riding (not sound) and performance wise... Just wondering if I should even change if there is no decent improvement for regular riding... Can understood the issue with higher altitude though...
@@dudefromcbee There is no need to change if you don't feel like it. Don't give in to the pressure around you is what I would say. Stock cans are good too! Changing the exhausts to an after market one will give you a significant bump in the mid range torque, they will be lighter in weight than the OEM ones so meaning the acceleration will improve too. Pair it with an after market air filter it will increase the BHP by 1-2. And mileage stays unaffected. :) Thank you for watching the video
@@SrinivasGanesh Completely agree on that part. Hope a trip to Coorg, Ooty, Kodaikanal doesn't require a switch to OEM stocks... Perhaps the Himalayan belt would be better with the stock exhaust and filter... Your friend Abhinav too faced issues, but majorly because of powertronics... Not sure if it's because of exhaust/filter?
@@dudefromcbee Yes it was because of changing the ECU. Else no issues. As a general rule of thumb, when going on long tours, best is to switch performance parts back to stock set up. Coorg, Ooty, Kodaikanal means you will be crossing borders too so best is to play it safe with cops down south. Good luck! :)
Don't like it. 2 in 1 is more like a scrambler exhaust. And I wanted to keep my bike a retro classic. We now have the Bear 650. So that would look better in that. 🙏🏽

@@SrinivasGanesh thanks for the reply so no show off and I will be fine . . I really liked the sound in your video hope it’s the same listening to it in reality. Nicely explained, Could you please make video on your KNN filter along with Powertronic or Fuelx (Not sure) and YSS suspensions (What should be the setting for different terrains or road or environments and how to set the suspensions respectively) it will be very useful as you have already covered 8000 kilometers on this customizations. I like your close to stock customizations, it is not so flashy to look, it is more of a shuttle way of implementation. Before going with any changes on my interceptor I would like to know the practical way rather than configurations on papers.
Sure thing. I’m editing a video on how to change the settings on stock suspensions. Then another video on YSS rear suspensions followed by front. Thank you for watching! :)
KNN filter video is already there. And FuelX is similar to booster plug if I am not mistaken, just different branding. Which is also there on the channel. :)
@@SrinivasGanesh What I have got the info that fuelx helps in proper fuel release to the engine according to the mapping and conditions and Powertronics does the same but it also maps the throttle. Now, I may be wrong because I haven’t talked to Powertronics or Fuelx people.
There is no set rule for modification. I’ve seen some do after 3 years and some did after bringing their 650 home straight from the showroom. :) It’s all your choice.
Yes sir. It is just amazing. Been using this for a year now. And only took it off when I went to Spiti. It is just perfect exhaust in my opinion in street look. Else 2x1 scrambler exhaust by ZARD is my second favourite. That, however is a bit too expensive. 🤪
Hello!! Greetings from Peru. I need your help appealing to your experience. I have an Interceptor 650, I want to change the SLIP ON in POWERAGE brand (India). My question is if doing this should configure the ECU and if this change of SLIP ON in the long term damages the engine of the motorcycle?
Hey! Namastey from India! Thank you so much for watching the video! The ECU will calibrate itself. After installing the said exhaust, or any slip on exhaust just let it idle for about 10-12 mins. And the ECU will take care of the rest automatically.
Is there any difference in the bike with and without baffles? Other than the sound ofcourse. I mean in terms of low end or high end power. Great video though, watched it 5 times now ahahaha!
If i drop my motorcycle can the powerage exhaust withstand it? OEM exhaust is so well made that it will withstand anything.. Can someone give ur thoughts please!!

I don’t believe that there is a drop in the torque after installing any aftermarket exhaust. Rather, It increases the mid range torque. This is, in my opinion, one of the best aftermarket exhausts for RE Twins. I say go for it. :)
@@SrinivasGanesh Thank you very for a swift reply 👍
@@mahendranpadinzar1812 my pleasure buddy! Thank you for watching the video!
Sir could you suggest a plug n play fuel booster

Hey man , i am considering to change my exhausts for weight reduction , i dont really want the exhaust to sound like a fartcan or it to be bloody loud . How's your experience with powerage , will u reccomend it ?
If you see the comments on the videos I have posted on YT and on my instagram, the link of which is also there on my YT, I have always recommended people to go for this exhaust. It is very good!
@@SrinivasGanesh alright , imma order powerage as soon as i can

hey bro from where did you get your tail light and led indicators??
Hi. There’s a video on my channel and the link would be on it’s description. ;)
Led turn signals are from Amazon USA.
Hello Srini, love your videos and your bike. recently bought Powerage after watching your videos. Absolutely love the sound. However after the upgrade noticed slight increase in fuel tank temp. Is this normal? Do you observe increase in temp if fuel tank.
Note running BMC airfilter along with fuel x - Map at 5
I didn’t experience that at all. Maybe due to ambient temperature it might be hot? I’m just guessing here.
does mileage become less after putting this exhaust
no sir it does not.
Comparing s&s vs powerage exh which is best
S&S is race only. So pretty loud. Powerage are the ones I have so I’m going to have to go with them. :) thank you for watching.
Interesting to see a 150/70-18 Tire, did you make any other changes to accomodate the tire or it fits perfectly on stock rims? Also, is there a room to fit 110 for the front?
No other changes. You'll have to make changes if you go above 160. Yes there is plenty of room for even 120 section I'm told.
Planning to get powerage exhaust. Will it work with OEM airfilters or is it necessary to have performance air filters?
OEM filter is paper. It is good, but instead of cleaning and reusing (which is much cheaper) you’ll have to replace the entire air filter every month or so. Performance airfilter are one time buy which you can clean and reuse as you can see in my latest video about maintaining performance filters.

Bhai where do you get your bike serviced in Gurgaon
Will the service center guys have some issue as one might have removed the OEM exhausts and have replaced it with Powerage exhausts
Can the service center deny you from service?
Good luck! :)
Hi,
What is your opinion on 2 in 1 AEW exhaust ?
Shall you please share me your thoughts?
Don't like it. 2 in 1 is more like a scrambler exhaust. And I wanted to keep my bike a retro classic. We now have the Bear 650. So that would look better in that. 🙏🏽
Thanks
Is the exhaust a full system or is it just a slip on?
slip on.
Hi Srinivas :
Great video as always.
Planning to go for these as it is stock+. Are you still on the same exhaust ? Also how is the quality ? Any rusting etc ? Is it holding well after 2 years ?
Still the same! No rusting whatsoever! Holding absolutely well after 2 years!
Hi Srinivas
I got myself powerage like yours. During my first ride with my exhaust I noticed some white smokes came when I stopped. Is it common in the beginning
Please Srinivas reply I am panicking
It is normal. Don’t worry. It is just the glass wool inside that gets burnt initially. After a few rides it will be normal.
Any problems with the Traffic cops after this ?
unless you go near them and rev full hard.
@@SrinivasGanesh thanks for the reply
so no show off and I will be fine .
. I really liked the sound in your video hope it’s the same listening to it in reality.
Basically I am looking for an Exhuast which is bassy but not so loud. something that feels good to me , like the honda cb350 or ronin or May be like a meteor or classic where all the stock exhaust fitment does what I m looking for .
what would be your recommendation ? powerage ?
Do u have wobbling issues and RR unit(rectifier) unit issue
I see many 650 owners say having problems
Changed the tyres. Now no wobbling.
Thanks @@SrinivasGanesh 🤘🏽😎 it would be very useful.
@@SrinivasGanesh I will watch that video.
@@SrinivasGanesh What I have got the info that fuelx helps in proper fuel release to the engine according to the mapping and conditions and Powertronics does the same but it also maps the throttle. Now, I may be wrong because I haven’t talked to Powertronics or Fuelx people.

Been using this for almost 2 years with the baffles on, I have not faced a single issue yet.
Is there any difference in the bike with and without baffles? Other than the sound ofcourse. I mean in terms of low end or high end power. Great video though, watched it 5 times now ahahaha!
