Great reaction! This is definitely one of my favorite Christmas movies!
When you said “you have to treat your employees right”, unfortunately 98% of corporate America treats their employees like crap, as if they’re truly expendable. They barely give raises and the ones that we get don’t compensate for inflation, if we are lucky to get a raise at all, they reduce how much they compensate towards healthcare and they don’t give holiday bonuses anymore or pensions either. This is why most people will have to work till the day they die, whereas our parents and grandparents didn’t.
Die Hard is a Christmas movie
The laughing fit at the end makes this one of the best reaction videos from any channel ever. You’re both genuinely funny asf loll
🤣
Yeah definitely haven't laughed like this over this movie since I first saw it. Watching it every year is fun, but it's not the same as seeing someone else enjoying it for the first time and laughing as hard as I did 30+ years ago when it came out lol
Had me giggling along. 😂😂
I remember seeing it in the theater and everyone was in hysterics!
LOL unintelligible gibberish giggles
This is one of the most popular Christmas movies here in Germany! It's almost a tradition in my family for 30 years to watch this film at least once at Christmas time!
Dieter 👍👍👍
Frohe Weihnachten!!
It's the same here in America, at least in my family, it's one of the movies we always watch at least on or around Christmas.
That laughter fit at the end was contagious. You all had me dying xD
Once aunt Bethany arrives it gets absolutely hilarious 😂😂 "Grace she passed away 30 years ago" 😂😂
This movie is so funny because it perfectly captures the potential chaos of the holidays with your family, but just dials it to 11.
My family's ride or die Christmas movie. We quote this movie ALL YEAR ROUND. Save the neck for me Clark.
Have you seen the first VACATION (1983)? There isn't much continuity between them, but it's a fun comedy.
Fun fact: when Chevy Chase was hitting the Christmas decorations outside, he broke his finger while filming the scene. They just kept filming and used that for the movie
I was an 80s and 90s kid, those were the best decades for Christmas, i miss it dearly 😢
Another fun fact: Clark Grizwald's boss is Brian Doyle Murray, Bill Murray's ( Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, What About Bob...) brother. Also, he played the campground attendant in National Lampoon's first Vacation movie. A couple other movies he was in were Caddy Shack and Groundhog Day (with his brother, Bill). He's an underrated comedic actor because his brother overshadowed him. I'm new to this channel but please watch the movies I just mentioned if you haven't already. All are classic movies! Please do more movies like this!
He's also in Scrooged. He plays Bill Murray's father in flashback.
When people ask why I watch reactions on TH-cam, this right here is a perfect example. I'll never enjoy the first time the way you guys did and to be laughing in tears after the movie is over again, it's such a pure emotion and nothing feels better than seeing someone feel the way you did too. I love this one for you guys!
I'm an odd one out but the National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation is my favorite of the Griswold collection.
Glad you enjoy them!
My family plays this movie every year 😂
FUN FACT: At 14:19, Chevy Chase actually broke his pinky finger when he punched the Santa decoration. And him kicking the rest of the reindeer decorations was actually Chevy kicking in pain.
'Fletch' and the sequel 'Fletch Lives' were popular Chevy Chase movies from back in the 80's.
Omg, the Fletch movies were hilarious
You and Jess's laugh will never fail to put a smile on my face
Love Christmas Vacation.
Nation lampoon vacation pls you guys will love it also gremlins is probably my favorite Christmas movie
Finally they react to Christmas vacation by far Funniest holiday movie ever.
We used to watch this every Christmas! You should also watch the the original vacation movie!
Family Vacation was my father's favorite movie. When this came out he was so excited...the family hasn't gone a single Christmas without watching it since
If you want another movie like this I'd suggest 'Dutch'.
It's highly underrated and while it actually takes place during Thanksgiving it could easily pass as a Christmas movie.
Fun facts: The actress who plays Aunt Bethany was Mae Questel, the original voice actress for Betty Boop and Olive Oil.
-William Hickey (who plays aunt Bethany's husband) was only 61 at the time but he was playing 80. He had a rare condition that made him look older than he was.
-The mall Hottie Mary, was played by Martin Scorsese daughter Nicolette.
this is one of those movies that is a Christmas tradition to a ton of families
This was a staple Christmas movie in my house when I was younger. My dad loved Chevy Chase. I actually took note of the show Community and started watching it because of Chevy Chase being in it. I'm glad that I did, as it became one of my favorite shows due to the entire cast.
I hope you two have a Merry Christmas!
Yeah, my mother loved this movie. She'd play it at least 5 or 6 times every December. And I was okay with that as it's a classic.
It's good to see people who can appreciate fine comedy.
The original 1983 National Lampoon Vacation I think is funnier than Christmas Vacation. Same crazy family!! 🤪
The intro is such a bop, Beverly D'Angelo is gorgeous and the comedy is great. One of my favorite Christmas classics.
My family watches this every Thanksgiving to start the holidays:)
This movie is hilarious and so is the original Vacation (1983). Scrooged (1988) with Bill Murray is another very funny Christmas movie.
He did a series of Vacation movies based of the 1st one. 'National Lampoon's Vacation' but some of us think his best work was before that. He did several movies with Goldie Hawn that should not be missed. Foul Play (1978) & Seems Like Old Times (1980). Love the laughter!
Cool that you're checking it with your wife. Love this film. Watched it almost every year since it first came out.
They’re married? I had no idea!
Having worked in retail for over 10 years, I can tell you that listening to Christmas music for 8 hours a day, week after week, can really kill your joy of the holiday.
Your gf laughing at the end was everything i needed tonsee today. 🤣 So awesome. 🤣
Primate you gotta do Scrooged w/Bill Murray.
The sleigh flying through the air cracked her up
YES!!
This was the first Vacation movie I saw on NBC back in the early 90's.
"Nice tree dad! Are you going to put it up yourself?" - "No son. I'll put it in the livingroom!"
😂
If you want to see more of the Griswold Family then I like to recommend the other ones
National Lampoon's Vacation 1983 National lampoon's European Vacation 1985 and Vegas Vacation 1997
This is my favorite Christmas movie. The actor playing Rusty in this movie is Leonard from Big Bang Theory. I met the actor that plays Cousin Eddy at comic con.
One of my favorite Christmas movies ever
I laugh every time after Cousin Eddie takes off with the boss, his rich wife is on the phone with police and says, "He was a huge, beastly, bulging man. And he had Kansas plates." 🤣
I have been watching your channel for awhile. This is the best reaction I have seen so far. Great reaction. The laughing at the end was fantastic. 🇺🇸
this is the classic of classic christmas movies. never gets old, i married a "clark". ultimate family man
This was the 3rd Vacation movie, PLEASE watch the rest, in order :)
Great reaction guys like always i love this movie, i always laugh so hard when i see this movie and that quote "Hallelujah! Holy sh*t! Where's the Tylenol?" Omg its hillarious, you should react to the others movies. National Lampoon's Vacation, National Lampoon's Vacation, Vegas Vacation, and Vacation (2015 reboot/sequel focusing on the son and his family. There are some fun-facts about this classic. The Griswolds’ neighbor’s house is the same house Murtaugh and his family lived in all the Lethal Weapon movies. The houses on this street are on the Warner Brothers Studios back lot. The house front from Bewitched and The New Gidget appears in the home movie that Clark is watching in the attic. In the scene when the police storm into the Griswolds’ house, the song “Here Comes Santa Claus” sung by Gene Autry is used for the background music. Randy Quaid (cousin Eddie) is the third cousin of Gene Autry. According to Randy Quaid, many of cousin Eddie’s characteristics (most notably the clicking of the tongue) were based off a guy that Quaid knew from when he grew up in Texas years ago who had similar traits. When Clark is in bed trying to read the People Magazine with sticky fingers from the tree sap, the person shown on the cover of the magazine is Producer Matty Simmons. And the scene where the cat bites on the Christmas lights cord and gets electrocuted was nearly cut from the movie. Prior to the first test screening. the studio execs wanted the scene taken out, fearing that it might offend some viewers, but producer Matty Simmons begged them to leave the scene in, and they eventually gave in to his request. After the first test screening, the test audience had scored the cat electrocution scene as the No. 1 favorite scene throughout the entire movie. Keep up the good work.
Her humor is on 10 bc she couldn't even speak 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is both mine and my mom's movie. Growing up every year, she would play this movie on Xmas morning when unwrapping presents. The two of you laughing at the end of the video reminds me of me and my siblings watching this ❤
I'm guessing you haven't seen the other vacation movies since you didn't recognize Eddie. This is definitely one of the funnier vacation movies, but you should really make sure you watch them all 😂😂
Just watched the regular vacation one!
Even that reboot is really funny 😆
Rare Exports[: A Christmas Tale] (2010) is a Santa-related horror-type movie that's surprising.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
SHITTERS FULL
😂
Eddie is not Clark's brother. He is Clark's cousin-in-law. Eddie is married to Ellen's cousin. Absolutely no blood relation to Clark or Ellen.
I’m sorry did you say Home Alone is not really a comedy?! I mean granted it’s not a back to back scene, slapstick especially, kind of comedy like this one; and it does have heart, but Home Alone is most definitely a Christmas comedy 😂
Brooo so glad you finally got around to watching this classic! This is a stable in my family. I brought in for work for Christmas Holiday party and it was an instant hit! So wholesome too. The older ppl in the family reminds me of my extended family. Old ppl be old peopling lol
A Christmas tradition over here in the UK is to watch Raymond Briggs "The Snowman" (introduced by David Bowie) - a 25-min animation masterpiece which was first broadcast in 1982. It's been on TV every year since. I highly recommend you react to it.
my grandma would rent me that from the library every winter. i cant watch it anymore, it makes me bawl ever since my grandma passed, but its a bittersweet memory
Rhis is my favorite Christmas movie and I still laugh so hard EVERY time. I completely understand the laughing fit. 🤣
But Primate my dude, now ya gotta do the whole Vacation franchise:
Vacation 1983
European Vacation 1985
Christmas Vacation 1989 ✔
Vegas Vacation 1997
Vacation 2015 (sequel/reboot)
one of the best Christmas movies I think, thank you for this
This is probably my favorite Christmas movie. For every December, the 3 movies/shows I have to watch is Christmas Vacation, Die hard, and Charlie Brown Christmas. With a respectable Gremlins, Rudolf /Frosty coming in next.
Love this movie, one of my dad and I's favorite. Also, Violent Night is an action-comedy movie, not a horror, though I would still heavily recommend it.
The original National Lampoon Vacation is still the OG of road trip comedies.
National Lampoon Vacation is a must-see. The Griswolds before Christmas Vacation.😅
Another National Lampoon's Film you need to check out one day is _Loaded Weapon 1..._ but for that to land properly, you need to watch at least the first three _Lethal Weapon_ Films with Mel Gibson beforehead.
You know it's a great movie when you laugh ALL the way through. LoL 😆.
The laugh at the end 😂 i watch this movie every year. Its my fav
Christmas vacation is so too tier. One of my favorite childhood Xmas movies! 💚💚💚 Great reaction my guy.
OH YOU GUYS😂😂😂 your reaction at the end was my favorite part😂 thank you for making my day😂😂😂😂
If you listen carefully, it sounds like Aunt Bethany pronounces Clark as "Claw".
So my family tradition is having Claw on while we put up the tree 💜
Sap is basically resin, So Smoking that... you probably have some sticky fingers as well . Never mind climbing trees, those are the trees I want to climb high!
If you want more Chevy Chase movies, you don’t have to stray far the lampoon series. It has three more movies in it vacation, European vacation, Christmas vacation and then Vegas vacation was the order they were released in.
I get it it’s Christmas you did Christmas vacation first that doesn’t matter you can still go back and watch the others 👍👍👍
I have already told my friend that this was the best reaction to Christmas vacation that I’ve seen and I’ve seen quite a few.
Loved it guys 🤣
keep up the great work
Some other great Christmas movies- The Santa Clause, White Christmas, Laurel & Hardy’s March of the Wooden Soldiers
Someone a few miles up the road from me sets up a "Christmas" decoration that's a mannequin of Cousin Eddie during the "sh*tter was full" scene. It's funny, but I wonder what their neighbors think LOL.
For another Chevy Chase movie, check out The Three Amigos. It was one of my favorite growing up
Drink everytime this dude says "to be fair". 🥶
MR. Primate obviously already received the best Christmas gift imaginable.
Good for him!
Grew up on this movie. Loved the reaction and the laughter at the end was amazing!
I have to admit that out of all the reactions I've seen to this movie on TH-cam yours was the best just because you laughed at a lot of the stuff and that laughing fit at the end and you all had me laughing pretty hard just because of that
Watch this every Christmas, it's my dads favourite movie ❤
So many good quotes. during the christmas season I'll randomly tell my wife "I want to get you something reeaaalll niiice....", or say "hey, have you checked our shitters lately?"
From now on you'll find yourself quoting lines from this movie at Christmas time. Like, "Merry Christmas - shitter was full!" & "Jolliest bunch of @sswholes this side of the nuthouse!" 😂
Overcome by joy and comedy, I feel ya girl. Great reaction guys, thank you
A Christmas Story is my go-to Christmas movie, but if this or Elf is on I'll never switch it!
Even though my wife and I love this movie chevy chase has been known to be really hard to work with it started on the first season of snl
Aunt Bethany is the original voice of Betty Boop her and Uncle Louis are my favorite characters
Uncle Louis is the voice of the mad scientist in Nightmare Before Christmas
@@biguy617 he's been in so many things I can't even remember, Mouse Hunt comes to mind thats a fun movie, he has a unique face and voice
Def one of the best Christmas movies of all time. What makes it great is the comedy is so relatable. They did a great job of capturing all the things that we love and hate about the holidays.
They really don't make movies as good as this anymore. This shit is timeless and it is by far my favorite Xmas movie. Love the F bomb rants...back in the day this would have been extreme to see a family comedy all of a sudden having extreme language thrown in.
Love the contagious giggles at the end. It reminds me of when i use to smoke up and got into endless laughing fits with my bros.
Scrooged with Bill Murray is a good one if you haven't seen it.
1. Clark's boss is played by Brian-Doyle-Murry (Bill Murry's brother) calls him greaseball and various names before he get's it right at the end.
2. GOOF: The lights outside the attic window don't match the pattern with the rest of the house.
3. My favorite part is when Ellen pulls the chain on the trap door. 🤣🤣
4. Mae Questel played Aunt Bethany. She was the original Betty Boop and Olive Oyl, This was her last gig.😇
5. In the big rant scene the other actors had Chevy's lines written on placards so he
wouldn't get his lines out of order.
6. Living next door to them must be kind of like living next door to the Bundys.
7. Fun fact; Chase actually hurt his hand karate chopping the reindeer.
8. Clark's boss is Brian-Doyle-Murphy (Bill Murry's brother) calls him greaseball when he drops off his gift.🤣 He doesn't get his name right until the end.
9. Ellen is played by Beverly DeAngelo. She also played in "Every Which way but Loose" with Clint Eastwood and in "Hair". EWWBL would be a great first-time share but "Hair" would give you copywrite issues. Finally, she has a couple of kids with Al Pacino. I like her better than the sales girl.😍😋🥰
10. This IS my Christmas movie every year
11. Fun fact: This is the only Vacation where Audrey is older than Rusty.
12. Clark is going to need that 20% bonus to repair the house.🥺
13. My picks in order: Christmas, Vacation, European and finally Last Wages.
Other Chevy Chase films that are great: His first movie, "Foul Play " , "Caddyshack"
You guys should watch Vegas Vacation next. Hope they make another Vacation movie in the future.
You should check out the original Vacation from 1983. Clark decides to drive cross country to California instead of flying. As you might guess, nothing goes right. Hilarious!
This movie has yearly tradition in my christmas watchlist since it was released. Know every line in and out. On a sidenote, it is funny how you point out how young Chevy Chase looks here. This is how i knew him ever since and then i did not hear or see anything from him for a long long time and now i am really freaked when i see how old he is now. 🙈
Definitely subbing I love this channel, there's no loud obnoxious yelling like a lot of other channels iv been trying out, this is a perfect reaction, almost like watching with friends.
Thanks!
This and home alone r my favorites
Wow.. Your girl has one of the BEST laughs I have ever heard in my life! No joke.. just her laughing makes me want to laugh automatically! lmao More Comedies plz lol! Anyways ... Great reaction.. as always! I love this movie... Top 3 best Christmas movies ever made! To me.. it's number 1 or 2.. Really hard to choose between this and A Christmas Story. OH.. And if you love this movie.. You should watch the 1st movie "National Lampoons Vacation" This was actually part 3 in the Vacation movies.. part 1 is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!
This is definitely top 3 best Christmas movies.
So utterly VOLCANIC an eruption of mirth deserves recognition - and a holidays bonus. I now therefore present you with...

My favorite Christmas movie is Home Alone 1 and 2
You guys cracked me up! Another fave Chevy Chase comedy is Three Amigos with Steve Martin and Martin Short.
The Christmas Story is my favorite
