The thread size is 3/8x16x2 that I used Got them at Walmart $0.97 A larger bolt would be 3/8x16x6 There are inside threads on two different holes opposite of each others on the front pump front section. Dont tighten them down tight they will not go completely though the holes on the pump. They are designed to use slide hammer to pull the front pump out.The band adjustment screw is a 1/4 I think. Use an open ended box wrench. That will be important later during reinstall. Because you have to torque it down to "72lbs or snug with a short (open ended box) wrench". Then back it off so many turns and then tighting down the 3/4 nut. That is how you set the adjustment back to specs. The reverse band has a plate like the kickdown band. Wider but shorter. One side is curved one side is flat the curve side is the side that goes on the band the flat towards the front and rear of the case.
I used 2 long bolts on the front pump, threaded them into the only 2 holes across from each other - where the pump has threads only, then used a long pry bar back and forth ever so slightly, and it popped right out.
The sprang (one-way) clutch rotates one way, if it tries to rotate in the opposite direction, it will lock stationary on to the back of the trans case.

The big spring on the front clutch is a belleville spring. On the A-727, individual coil type springs are used.
Thanks man.
Again I'm amazed and impressed.

what is the size of the bolt you use to extract the pump?
my rear clutch pack and input shaft are stuck due to malfunction of the tranny. any ideas of how i could pry it out?
