I’m currently preparing some Stems in v4 to do some comparisons myself 😎 I think one thing NI should be credited for with this release is killing off the Pro sub. It clearly didn’t work out and as a result we’ve all now got those additional features in v4.

Before they can think about profit maximizing they need to catch up with the market. And this was an excellent first step and after the current recordbox disaster (you must subscribe to a subscription model to be able to use your old controllers with the new software) a lot of DJs will be thankful for a perpetual license.
I'm using Virtual Dj and I have nivida GPU that can create stems in real time, but I don't use it, I prepare my stems with anticipation, so w this feature in traktor to pre compute stems is perfect for me thanks Traktor we needed this

It’s possible, but not straightforward) you’ll need extensive mapping + reserving one FX unit to Delay effect. Honestly, I wouldn’t go that route) Better get comfortable with using FX sends per stem + sending it to Delay FX and freezing Delay (or just disabling the stem when needed)

Traktor Pro 4 currently creates STEMS locally on your computer & anybody can extract all the information from them, including original track. So, it goes against piracy protection of Beatport stream…( No idea if Traktor is going to implement real-time stems to mitigate this issue

I just bought the S8 and tried it with traktor 4 and virtual but I decided to work on virtual after taking 3 days mapping all the caracters, but I saw the format on virtual dj is quite of different, of the format of Traktor 4. It's any way of your program exported the stems on a way that I could use it on virtual dj? Thanks
just measured Traktor internal audio engine with limiter and without and several Headroom : THD-N at -30dB for files at 44100/16 bits 1000 HZ test file : other DJ Software like Rekordbox or DJAY PRO or VIRTUALDJ are at THD N - 97 dB. Big audio quality problem. The best measured audio quality software is DJAY PRO 5.2 on MAC
@brutesqd none of these sum up to original waveform: NUO-STEMS Serato, VDJ, Traktor Pro 4 or Logic Pro 11. So far I know that only Djay Pro does it (Neural Mix Pro 2.0.0). But result is very close. I can implement this feature, but this would result in worse quality "other" stem.

Honestly, I don’t know what’s going to happen in this case, but HDD is definitely not recommended) External SSDs are cheap, and you can get 1TB for like $50
1. I saw somebody using stems with S3 in Traktor Pro 4. By switching to “Samples” mode on pads. 2. Not seeing “generate stems” button seems to be some sort of bug, try looking at Traktor forums for possible solution
i have 2 F1s and stems always worked with them, still does. traktor has has stems for years, its just now that the software can create them too. so all the older hardware will work fine.

£64.50 of my British pounds. I tend to upgrade anyway but I think this is worth it for stems (when I’ve forgotten to Nuo them 😎) and the Plus features we get “for free” now.
I do not understand these charts at all. Are higher numbers worse? are lower numbers worse? Why are they not ordered by best to worse? It is very confusing, but maybe it's confusing on purpose as to not upset one of the companies on the list.
As mentioned, you can read more about SDR in the description) Higher is better) Results are ordered the same for every stem. Order was just subjectively defined by me. If order changed from chart to chart - it would be confusing to understand what moved where.
But no z3 mixer. Stuck with a creaking S4 MK3, needs an flx10 traktor equivalent to even think about going back to that dead horse...... So painful when you revisit traktor every now and then does nothing better than any other programs but has so much missing and locked to cr*ppy hardware...... Out dated business model and awfully streaming capabilities 😢
Why would anyone want to buy another product to prepare stems when they have already bought Traktor Pro 4, which has stem separation now? TP4 is an all-in-one solution with a click process. The quality is compatible with Nuo Stems. I tried your demo, and it's too many steps just to make a stem, and the interface for NUO stems is not user-friendly! Plus, I asked you about using NUO stems with Traktor S3 Mk3, and you gave some ridiculous answers about finding a mapping for it. Where TP4 works with ALL Native Instruments hardware and no need to map anything. So again, why buy third-party software when TP4 is an ALL-IN-ONE solution, easy to use, comparable quality stems, and user-friendly interface? Despite processing time, it works, and you can do process stems simultaneously (queued) and without crashes most of the time.
Short answer: quality 🙂. NUO-STEMS 3.1 offers significantly better quality and “sum of stems = original”. How many windows user do you think has an arm pc. Well to be even more specific a snapdragon X Elite pc? The regular window version of Djay Pro 5 is black and white compared to the regular MAC/IOS version windows v5.2 lacking in features. 😂. But their fluid beat grid is unmatched. No other DJ software even comes close.

Can you describe your measurement process in details? Also, if you're comparing STEMS to original track - sum of STEMS doesn't equal original.

Yes, it’s CPU only, and as far as they told me - no plans to support GPU yet 🙂

I think you need to do it from "playlist" or "collection" view. Somebody mentioned there is a bug now to generate stems from "Explorer" view.
