God never intended His church to be led by one or a few persons. House churches are going to become the thing of the future.

The new testament does not tell us to tithe money to any church. Only offers. No tithing.

Thank the Lord for sharing this video. Most of us, wanting to serve the Lord full time, forgot one important missing gap. And that is, our beloved mom and dad can play a wonderful role (in wisdom, in presence, in clost prayer). The Lord places them within us, not without a purpose. And that is for HIS glory and honor. Amen.

Quite interesting. I was involved in a church some years ago that reduced down from and traditional church to meeting in homes and even prior to that other than our administrator, there was no paid staff or ministers. A young lady had a dental/oral situation and because we had no overhead and rents or salaries, we were able to pay a $16,000 medical bill for her and her family. So many good things come out of the home fellowship or church situation. I was the treasurer at one time of a church I was involved in and probably close to 90% of the money coming into the church went to sustain the organization and not to actual ministry. Thanks for sharing.

This is true across the board. Very little of the funds given to churches goes for actual ministry, meeting the needs of poor Christians, foreign mussions, etc.

I wish I could find something like this. I'm hurting bad and feel lost in mostly all churches. I have no family or friends or real relationships. I'm not sure how much longer I can hold on like this. I'll survive, but my fear is dying lonely and without truly experiencing fellowship with others who care for my soul or love me. My God help me.

Hey! I've been doing home gatherings with some of our family in Christ for about 3 years now and I absolutely love it! No more going to a building (called church) but instead living in complete fellowship with THE church in our homes as a family because we are one in Christ! If you're having trouble looking where to start, look up "Church Without Wall International" they are all about house church and living out The Word! John Finn is who started it and he does video teachings on how to get started with house church and He can help you find a good core group of people to do house church with!

I have connections to the house church network that Francis Chan started, and his ministry (crazy love) runs a training for people starting house churches. My pastor is actually the one in charge of that training. He has a spreadsheet of house churches all around the US that went through the training. If you comment back happy to connect you to him if you are looking for a church near you. Maybe he knows of one.

I love the boldness of this story. The faith to respond to a call you believe you have from the Lord. I have also felt called to head in this direction. I do not see it relevant to watch this story and immediately try and point out what we believe is wrong with it. I can watch this with a heart that hears the Lords voice while still agreeing to disagree with the concepts mentioned on tithing. Whether you stand by the OT command to tithe or the NT call to give what you are called to the end result will remain the same if you are a child of God. I do not see anywhere mentioned that salvation is affected by whether or not you believe in the tithing principle.

Gathering in the home is the only way we can actually worship and serve and love each other as Jesus described... An organization run by salaried employees is the antithesis of the body of Christ (the church).

Home churches foster unity and service is a way that is unlike other forms of gathering. And that is critical in the American/western church. You need to read Malachi 3;10 the definition of church is the people not the building that people worship at. However, the church buildings has lights bill and air conditioners, and a mortgage to be pay every month. Who is going to pay it? The tithe money are used to pay the bills. And also send money to poor people in foreign countries and help the church families too.

    • @digitalsublime
      @digitalsublime 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@bathsheba41 A house Church that meets on Sundays? Bud, you're right if the Church is a community building, or proper temple but not a private home. And we as new covenant Christians shouldn't tithe, you should give as much as you can (charity), we are not Old covenant Jews going to the Temple.
So yes give, specially to the poor this is essential part of being a Christian like prayer is. But there are so many well to do "pastors" that abuse the good will of the Christian heart for personal gain and a worldly lifestyle. Beware of wolfs in sheep clothing..
      Christi is risen!

Been down this road for the past 10 years. You will learn many lessons. It will take you at least 5 years to shed old ministry thinking. It’s like an onion. You will think you have come to the end of your old mindset but it takes a while. First change is to ditch the tithing references. Not biblical and not house church language.

If we decide to not go to a hospital because everyone there is sick or ill, will we ever get healed or cured of our diseases?
If I decide not to go to a gym because everyone in the gym are fat or unhealthy, will I ever loose fat or get healthy?
    Matthew 9:10-12 -
While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" came and ate with him and his disciples.
When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and `sinners'?"
On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
Is going to a Church good? is going to a Home Church good? both yes for some people. One is not better than the other if its not in God's will for that person.
People come to church to CHANGE and TRANSFORM. A Church is a place filled with sick people. Let the mature ones feed and help the young ones and keep growing in Christ.

The best part is that they can decide for themselves what the Bible says. If someone disagrees, they can go start their own house church! We don't need anyone telling us how to interpret scripture! One person with no training or education of any kind is perfectly capable of deciding all on their own what the Bible teaches. Yay for anarchy!

Every able-bodied man is supposed to work so he can give to support his family and be able to also give to help others. This is what everyone else in the house church is doing. I assume you are interested in an honest answer. So here it is. At the time of this video 2019, I was in transition from a paid salary job as a pastor in a traditional church to joining this new house church gathering in Austin intending to find a new way to provide income for my family. Within months, I chose to start a residential remodeling business. It allows me to engage with clients in the community, mentor other men in work and life and have the flexibility to build my own schedule/priorities in work. It was absolutely terrifying for the first few months. However God's favor was on it, and now in 2022 the business has become successful during the pandemic and booming growth of Austin. We have been able to host one of the 7 gatherings in our home, serve as shepherds, give to those in need, share Jesus weekly throughout all areas of life, and seek the Kingdom of God. By no means are we, or the house church perfect. It is not the only way. It's just about Jesus, following Him and sharing Him with those around us.

There isn’t one in the Christian-Greek Scriptures. The Levitical tithe is not placed upon Christians. That is a tradition of men today. We are to give according to our heart’s desire.
2 Cor 9:7 states: “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

  • @rebekah1362
    @rebekah1362 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Why all the obsessing with tithing? Is it REALLY a make or break for churches or is the greater command to go out and spread the Gospel? If you don't want to tithe - don't. It's between you and God. If others want to tithe and believe that's their calling, let them be. This divisive rhetoric is why so many churches fall and so many lose faith. Rather than focusing on what makes us similar today's Pharisees harp on whether or not to tithe. Just stop already.

100% agree. Apart from strong opinion about tithing: in my experience those strongly opposed to it seldom give anything regularly or anytime. Doesn’t mean that such an opinion is wrong, but it’s interesting to have been in various ministries over 50yrs to allow the passage of time for the fruit of many opinions to be evident, tithing issue being one. Getting off centre about it and railing against it is completely out of order. If don’t think it’s right don’t do it.. and be peaceful about it. It’s not a make or break. Same as various end time eschatology. Don’t t fall out of fellowship over these things.
Be busy about doing Kingdom stuff… c’mon. Witness, pray for one another. In my name heal the sick cleanse the leper etc etc… get active, not passive armchair critic.

    New Covenant Whole Gospel:
Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him.
He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by
husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24.
1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Jesus Christ organizes His church by four geographic designations.
    Worldwide Body of Christ
    Region
    City
    House
Let's look first at the house church.
( all caps added by me for emphasis )
    Romans 16:5 KJV
Likewise greet the church that is in their HOUSE. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
    1 Corinthians 16:19 KJV
The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their HOUSE.
    Colossians 4:15 KJV
Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his HOUSE.
    Philemon 1:2 KJV
And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy HOUSE
    Churches by Region and City
    Revelation 1:10&11
    By Region
...to the seven churches in Asia
    By City
... Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, Laodicea
Jesus Christ organizes His church SOLELY BY GEOGRAPHY.
Notice there is no "church of Paul" or "church of Peter". They don't even refer to house churches that way. It was "the church that is in their house". Not "their church". Yet we hear "my church" or "our church" all the time today.
    Whose church is it ?
If it's ours, then it isn't the Lord's.
Churches that identify themselves by a certain leader, sect, name, or denomination are promoting division.
    Division = Carnality
    1 Corinthians 3:3-4 KJV
For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
[4] For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
Remember that Jesus Christ called His followers OUT of all sorts of sects and groups to follow HIM alone !
The only thing that should ever divide followers of Christ is the physical distance between them !
I believe that a true revival is coming, one that will return the true church to our roots.
