    I really am impressed with your skills Gary. Benchrest is hard as it is yet alone adding a springer unsupported at the back. Well played 👏👏👏👏👏

      Oh, and you scored more than that. Once it's Probed and marked to a .22 calibre pellet hole you'll be surprised how many extra points you will get. Looking at it, maybe 4 or 5? Difficult to say without probing 👍

    Nice job. I shoot my TX200 at 25-yards and 50-yards a fair bit doing bench type things. It does well.

    Great vid, not easy to hit that 2mm bull with a springer! BTW br is shot at 25m not yards.

    Hi Gary, great shooting with your TX and cool video once again 👍👍 I went online and looked at benchrest shooting and it was surprising what I found ??? The front rest was like a vice and so was the back rest ??? And you don't touch the gun apart from moving a guiding arm to move the gun and aim.. Plus these rests cost a few quid 😃😃 anyway I ended up chatting to Matthew Gleaves for a while , which was really cool 👍👍, he seemed like a lovely guy 👍👍 anyway he was saying that he has to put his cheek lighty on the cheek rest because of his disability, while other shooters don't go near the cheek rest at all.. It seems like cheating if you aren't even holding your rifle to shoot.. Isn't that the point you pick up your Rifle to shoot 🤣🤣 eg, if a benchrest shooter got into a gun fight.. He would say wait a minute till I set up my bench with my fancy vice type rests then I can shoot 🤣🤣🤣 I took that to far didn't I. Anyway you're probably going to cover this subject in your videos, I look forward to it 👍👍 Oh I went and got the 200 x 2 mm targets from benchrest shooting supplies, Matthew Gleaves said they would really improve any kind of air rifle shooting.. Anyway Gary I hope your on the mend with your recovery.. Catch you on your next video 👍✌️👌

    Hi Gary, really glad I found your channel. I'm thinking of buying my first air gun preferably pcp, no offence but that springer looked like hard work lol. I have a disability and because of this I'm unable to lay prone so I thought benchrest would be ideal but I'm really not sure what gun I should buy that would be beginner friendly? Any advice would be much appreciated.

      Hi Jay, have you seen the Air ability channel. Matthew knows far more about BR then me.
      But, from what I've been told, a good high end single shot PCP if perfect. Something like a HFT500 OR steyr

      Go for it got my 1st pcp after chronic illness left me often house bound and sometimes bed bound, started off shooting from my kitchen table at a garden range, 1yr on I'm shooting off sticks, getting out and back using springers, I call it airgun therapy and it really has a broad range of benefits some I wasn't expecting 😀..as for which gun alot depends on budget really wanted a hw100 but found an affordable walther rm8 very accurate and like 100 very simple magazine..Good luck 👍👍

      @steve4697 Hi Steve, My life story sounds very familiar to yours, I have Ankylosing spondylitis and crohns and since 2019 I've been very much stuck at home, so I definitely need a hobby and I've always loved air guns so this could be perfect. Saw that people do HFT using sticks so I'm gonna give it ago 😁. How did u find the Rm8?

    • @steve4697
      @steve4697 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@jayroberts4863 I can really recommend airguning as the perfect hobby, I've got me/cfs peripheral neuropathy and fibromyalgic pain and managing the condition is the best you can do and the head space you need for marksmanship helps you do that,..the action on the rm8 is a little agricultural and the mags can wear,but overall its very accurate, not pellet fussy, and you get a reasonable shot count so ticks alot of boxes and are reasonably priced I got the UC version..Good luck with it all well worth getting to a club/range and trying a few things out 1st if you can I'm sure you'll love it 👍👍

    interesting with a spring gun for sure funny enough i do both down the club but pcp is 50 shots and spring is 25 but my average is better with a spring gun go figure . other nrsa is flat front rest and no rear rest i believe cheaper for sure but with a spring gun makes it more interesting 🤪🤪🤪

    What internals are you using on that tx200? tbt? short stroke?

    • @ShootingCountryTV
      @ShootingCountryTV  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's a mk2 so standard short stroke, it has TBT v+spring guide and top hat, but a standard 25mm piston with AA main seal.
