    When it comes to netting bass Mike Gilbert is probably the best I’ve ever seen. It just looks effortless in his videos, just second nature. Would love to see a new video from him.
    I was throwing a Trick Shad a week or so ago, favorite lake come to a small lay down with a 3’x3’ patch of grass floating. Throw out about 6’ past it and as I come up to it I do a snap,snap,snap, and glide and just as it was slowing down on the glide a little 4 pounder darts out a drills it.!! It’s just so awesome when the fish read the script and everything works like you hope.!!
    Thanks .!!

    Mistake - guys tossing baits, getting a follow, and casting back over and over again. I believe Working Class Zero did a video on this mistake. "Traing fish to be uncatchable" or something along those lines. If you get a follow, then a nibble, then nothing, move on. Those fish follow baits and see a boat and think "nope, now I know it's fake!" Quit killing spots. If it doesn't bite the first cast or 2, it's not going to. Move. On.
    Great video btw! Lots of important stuff here!!

    I got a fury 806 for my under 4oz baits and most treble baits. Have a guide select custom black on the way for my heavier baits. Hope it's a good one. Almost got genesis 3 but went guide select because the double footed guides to the tip. Hope it doesn't make it heavy but needed something for my 250s or huge beast hook baits. The 250 aren't light. That 806 barely lobs them.

    Besides the risk of more snap offs using braid to leader and how baits swim on it, do believe fishing with braid and a leader puts you at disadvantage from guys using strait flouro or mono? I’d love to hear from guys who actually put in real time using both.

    What do you think about using braid instead of split rings to prevent them getting leverage and throwing the bait? I just don’t trust it when compared to steel.

    • @nickkerr5714
      @nickkerr5714 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @jamesbarron1202
      @jamesbarron1202 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nickkerr5714 well then a bass sure isn’t going to break it if it’s done correctly. Tuna are insane fighters. I know Savage Gear makes treble hooks with it already attached to them.

    • @txg1275
      @txg1275 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It works if you change it after every fish. Hardware is disposable tuna fishing and you'll never reuse braid. But if you want to do this on swimbaits you need to change that braid super regularly.

    • @jamesbarron1202
      @jamesbarron1202 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@txg1275 I don’t see many guys doing it. Some of the bass pros do it on jerkbaits to keep them from getting leverage.

    • @crazybassfisher
      @crazybassfisher  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I fished mine either on the bottom or tight to docks and bluff walls. Grass lines and ripping through grass is also a great way to get bites

    My experience with landing nets and treble hook baits has not been good. Getting my lures unstuck has been no fun at all. I have a rubber coated net, but that doesn't matter. Maybe an all rubber one?

    • @crazybassfisher

    This summer has been excellent for me fishing big swimbaits. Sense mid June I've broken my PB 3 times starting with an 8.6. Then in August I caught a 9.3. Last Friday morning I caught a 10.2 & actually I'm about 99% sure that fish was actually a 11.5! Because few weeks ago for whatever reason I was checking my digital scale for accuracy with 5 & 10 lb weights. It comes up 1.2 lbs light every time, I checked it Friday evening it still reads the same. I don't know how long it's been off before that? My other pbs may have been 1.2 heavier also? Any recommendations on a good ACCURATE digital scale? I'm in need badly! Besides all of those fish I've also caught a 8.05 - 7.4. -6.1. - 5.9. - 5.8 - 5.4 - 5.1 & more 4's than I can count. All between mid June & now. Best sut I've had yet!

    #6 don’t say “omg bro it’s a giant” for every fish that you hook, #7 don’t burn a bait really fast a large fish is fat and lazy and are not going to chase down a big fish they want an easy quick meal that exerts less energy
    #8 don’t stick your butt out while fighting a fish , #9 there is magic bait if you throw something long enough it will get bit , #10 just because a bait is expensive doesn’t mean it’s superior to a less expensive bait
