    I’m in the process of relearning before I took a two year break I could catch fish all day no problem because I knew exactly what a bite felt like now it’s a challenge . And due to the virus it seems a lot of the local spots are being overfished in my opinion

    Bass fishing for over 50 years and sometimes they still trick you. Good informative video. I've told many people if I had of had all the access to the information, both written and on video 40 or 50 years ago there is no telling what all we could have caught. Thanks

    Great video. To really find out how a bite feels you got to catch those fish. Me personally I notice the two bump feel but sometimes I'm reeling up and it's just yank the other way lol. So just comes with time. I share what I learn from you guys with all my fishing buddies since we have our own little fishing club. Always a great time being on the water.

    Great tip with the Mojo rig. I'll have to try that rig out at my local pond.
    Another tip to help learn what the bite feels like is to use lighter tackle, such as a ML spinning rod with 8 pound test line. If you gain confidence with that, then you can move up to larger equipment. Or just have lots of fun with spinning gear!

    Very nice way to explain it. I usually use hard baits because I've always been wary of being able to detect the bite but a few weeks ago I bought some Zoom Super Hogs but I was in a small pond & only caught one fish due to limited time on water plus fishing from shore but the one I did catch was maybe a 1/2 lb if that big but the only way I noticed was he took off to the side. Might have to go to a better stocked pond or lake & try Glenn's way because I was fishing mine Texas rigged.

    What I have noticed when I am fishing crankbaits is that your bait is moving fast so you will know when there is a sudden change in the pattern of movement of your bait.
    What I feel is that all of a sudden your bait and line stops. With authority and as soon as your bait stops you will know if you are hung or if a bass has it.

  • @thomastoy2677
    @thomastoy2677 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Spot on information. I can't tell the size of the fish based on the bite. Sometimes the bite is so subtle and all you see is your line drifting away. Other times you can be reeling in and not know you hooked up until you're almost reeled in and all of a sudden the action starts. Very fun fishing bass. Agreed..Hot weather is good!
    Good job, thank you for sharing this excellent video with us.

    I fish soft plastic pretty much all the time. More often than not you don't even feel it, it's a sight thing. A tightening of the line or a tick on the line is all I have ever saw. Very rarely have I felt a strong pull. During spawn time the bite is always a sweep to the left or right, because of the fish moving the lure off or the bed. This is why I love using soft plastics, it requires attention to detail.
