  • Follow "The Professor" (Capt. Ron Edwards) as he shows "The Student" (Marcus Sheridan) how to dock their new Sport fishing boat...while trying not to do damage to the boat or anything else for that matter. For anyone that has ever had to learn to dock a larger boat, this is certainly one video you'll appreciate-- plus you'll learn some docking tips, tricks, and techniques along the way!

    Very well done, cool and calm, 2 years ago we bought a 43 foot cruiser our slip is a stern in also. took awhile to build confidence, one thing for sure is neutral is your friend.

    One thing I love about the bigger sport fishing boats is the big props. They're very very easy boats to handle and great to learn on. Gotta watch out tho cuz they tend to throw a bit of a wake even at idle 😂

    Nice Lesson. Most important aspect is what to do when you mis-judge and how to recover. Take is slow so you have time to think and react.

    Soooooo. I have always owned center consoles but have fished on a 31 bertram for a while and the first time I backed sea fever into our slip I bent an outrigger. Luckily she was very seasoned and we straightened it up very well with my 3/4 " emt bender 🤣

    I have a 41' silverton flybridge and after three seasons it is still a handful with a little current and wind. Still learning.

    How to say this without being a jerk.....
    Are you wanting this to turn into a tv series? The intro is too long! Specially if I have to watch the same long intro every video. I know content creators say skip it. I do but.......just saying

    • @saltwaterfishinguniversity
      @saltwaterfishinguniversity  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you watch our recent videos, it’s much shorter. We are learning as we go.

      @@saltwaterfishinguniversity let me give a reason I don't like long intros, content that doesn't get to the point, intros that repeat the same information in the content.
      It costs me data to watch fluff. That's it. I get 30 gig of high speed data then I get throttled.
      Creators want longer videos because you want click worthy videos, and I believe you get paid better for longer videos because you offer more ad spots. I wonder if it's shooting y'all self in the foot. I know I click off when your wasting my data. Sorry

    • @michaelpowell9164
      @michaelpowell9164 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@saltwaterfishinguniversity I need to clarify. I have an unlimited data plan from Verizon wireless. But it's not unlimited hi speed data. No plan has unlimited data for real. Thanks
      I wish more content creators realized why people click off their videos.
