The second TC going down at 4:30 is great, but if you do a similar 2TC build order but with more on gold, you can actually get a second TC by 4:50 AND Fresh Foodstuffs upon feudal age up. Delaying second TC by 20 seconds in exchange for immediate Fresh Foodstuffs seems better, no?
Probably better to get Valdemar-sensei's reply to this, but building a TC 20 seconds earlier means getting one more worker (worker build time being 20s). One "extra" worker that early into the game actually has a much larger effect on your economy than saving (optimistically) 80-100ish food from getting fresh foodstuffs earlier. That extra villager will make the difference back within roughly 2 minutes of working.
Yea tc is absolutely more beneficial early, unless you're against a longbow rush for example and fear you'll be gold and food denied and not be able to get fresh foodstuffs, then you'd want it banked earlier
Yeah this is awesome and Beast should steal this idea. Or it could just become Valdemar's brand. I ONLY play Delhi, but this makes it seem easier to learn something different because I can quickly learn a reactive/flexible build order.
if ur facing french is there any real point in going horseman instead of more spears? i messed up against someone because i first off all built tc first instead of production and they killed my 2 spear 2 archers with 2 knights from the gold they already gathered
If they go classic knight archer basic comp horsemen and spearmen will absolutely dent them in. The horse chase the archers. When the knights go to protect the spears deter them then horse continue to archer picking them off while all they can do is retreat. This goes for any civ vs knight/archer classic feudal combo
Yeah the good thing about horse vs archer is they CANNOT RETREAT, because the while the knights can get away, the horsemen will totally clean up the archers.

Just build your house with the first gold vil next to the mine than put the 2nd gold vil on building the mine camp.
Could you do a Zhu xi and/or Chinese pro scout build
🤗
