I love re-visiting old favorites! I went to see my mother last month and it was so fun to look through the bookshelves. There were so many books that I love that I had completely forgotten
I loved Nancy Drew when I was young. Read the ones with the blue covers - I think they were printed in the 30s and 40s. I’m now 67 and have a small collection of them. Haven’t re-read any yet..but plan to.
I think I read all the Nancy Drew Mysteries when I was in elementary school in the 1960s. I think Nancy Drew turned me into reader! I also think we had a copy of "A Childs Book of Poems" - surely my mom read all these to me. Thank-you for the really fond memories today.
I love the Simon Armitage verse translation of 'Sir Gawain', yes, it is a great story. I love Arthurian literature also. Do you know the Susan Cooper 'The Dark is Rising' sequence? It is an Arthur retelling set in modern day Cornwall, YA fantasy, and brilliant!
Beautiful edition of children's poetry! Fujikawa's illustration style is enchanting.
That edition of Nancy Drew is amazing! 😊💙
