About Aaj:
Aaj is a song about the moment in time when you realise you have the strength to do what you have to do to become who you want to become. We all have our demons, our reasons to be stuck in a rut of harmful patterns and our fears of trying something new. This track is meant to act as a spark to light a fire within the listener to overcome all of that, it's about the fearless pursuit of the next level for as long as your heart continues to beat.
It marks the first occasion where the band has combined the Indian flute with electronic elements as well as the usual dose of heavy riffs, diabolical growls and powerful rap verses.

Bloodywood is an Indian metal band from New Delhi, formed in 2016. They began as a parody band that uploaded metal covers of pop songs on TH-cam, but later went on to write their own original material.
We do not own the rights to the music or the music video; these remain the sole property of the band and record label.

Its hella impressive that this band has NO LABEL, they made the video, hell the whole album by themselves!
That's a really good point! I was in a band years ago and we saw friends in other bands getting signed, but the label barely paid for anything (not even covering the cost to record an EP), and yet demanded so much control of the band. I actually think it's smarter to do what Bloodywood have done, and control their own destiny! Takes a lot of work, but worth it in the long run!

I am from india, and here very few people know about bloodywood, I am into metal since like 2000's from iron maiden to alternative rock Linkin park. Newer generation is stupid and they don't understand rock as much. But I have high hopes for rock genre in India. 8:35 Also I love Wage War. I have listened to almost all of their songs !

Great to meet another metal-head! 😁 Iron Maiden are still one of my favorite bands ever, and I know they insist on playing in India on every tour because there's such a strong metal following there! Hopefully one day we can visit and go to a Bloodywood concert in India - that would be amazing!
Traditional Indian music fits really well with metal, I'd say it's basically metal but with Indian instruments

It's the least I can do for the band that saved me from ending my life only a few years ago, that convinced me that the better course in life is to give everything I have to whatever it is that I do. That there is always a way out, that there is always a window open when it feels like all the doors are closed.

Ellie's had that teal hair color for quite a few years now, but it used to clash with the green screen we recorded in front of, so she would always wear different color wigs to avoid her hair disappearing in the editing process! 😂 After a while we decided to forget the green screen so she could just have her normal hair showing!

@@NerdSafari Literally only found them a day ago through a 7 minute 'weird metal bands' compilation, and their 30 second expo of Machi Bhasad caught my attention.
That was it.....I was hooked on them after hearing Dana Dan, then subsequent tracks.
I love it when something just hits you out of the blue, a real serendipitous moment, that leaves me wanting more.....with gratuitous bouncing around the place like an idiot 😁
