Eau Givree has become one of my favorites so much that if I would have to choose one, it would be one of the top contenders. I love citruses and that juniper note just does it for me. Just so happens that juniper tree is the official tree of my hometown!
Every summer seems to get hotter and longer, and I’m not a fan of the common shower gel blue scents, so I’m always looking out for these kinds of fragrances. I completely agree about eau givree! Another that I’d recommend for this list is Lalique White. Thanks for another great video!

Love Eau Givree a whole lot, and recently picked up Renaissance which is awesome too. Think I'm just a sucker for citrus. I'm currently testing Ganymede, which is fairly fresh in its own way to me. Love that one too, will be getting a full bottle.
Chanel Platinum Egoiste is my go-to freshy that you can't honestly consider generic. When I got it and smelled it for the first time, that opening just blew me away I have to say. It still blows me away, I carry an atomizer in my backpack everywhere I go pretty much. It's always a good choice.
@@silkroadCEO i spray 5 sprays of chanel platnium egoiste: 3 sprays on the neck and 2 on the wrist. And I get great performance out of it. Not sure how old the bottle is because my wife's dad gave it to me.

I gotta give Eau Givrée a shot. I'm hearing so much praise for that one. I'd go with L'Homme Idéal EdP from Guerlain. It may be too sweet for some in the summer, but I can happily wear it in the hottest of days (as hot as it can get in central Europe) and I love the cherry note. Guerlain Homme is also quite lovely while not being your typical aquatic freshie. Great video as usual, Justin.
Great list! L'Insoumis is one of my faves for the warm weather also garners a good amount of unexpected compliments. Rochas L'homme is another love of mine. When I smelled Eau Givree' it gave a strong green pepper smell at the top that was a little brash to my nose. Will maybe give it another go and see if it was perhaps just that tester.

Czech & Speak Ausonia has impressed me recently. Smells kinda like a lighter, more ozonic cross between PDM Greenley and Amouage Beach Hut Man. Lovely stuff. Frederic Malle Geranium Pour Monsieur is another highly unique freshie. Smells like toothpaste... which shouldn’t work... only it does work. Love the stuff. 🙌🏻

I'm a bit late and my favorite fresh fragrance is discontinued... Givenchy Gentleman Cologne. Such a beauty. But since its gone I go with Montblanc Starwalker! The bamboo note and slight spicyness makes it unique.
Cartier Roadster is the one I don’t have, and it sounds intriguing. All the others are great! Purchased Green Lover based on your recommendation, and it’s fun to wear. I additionally enjoy Torino 21 as a fresh aromatic.
Dr Copeland right now at this very moment I just bought eau Givrée is amazing, it has something of H24 I guess the DNA, but this one and Dior Homme cologne are my best freshies.
I have not tried any of these. But some of them do some pretty good. I know I've mentioned it a couple times to you, sorry if it's getting annoying but one that I'm going to be reaching for a lot this summer is going to be DS & Durga's I Don't Know What. I have a friend who's very visual, and she said that it smells like a cave with purple glowing crystals all over the place. I thought that was super fun. It's kind of dark, but fresh at the same time. I love it. It was an instant buy when I sampled it.
Eau Givere is so good. One of my most recent pickups and it is a wonderful fragrance. You can dress it up or down for the summer. I highly recommend it, safe blind buy imo if you’re over 25

Great topic! I think L’Eau d’Issey Sport should be in this list and nobody talks about it. Bittersweet fresh with calone vibes and a leather base, definitely not blue.

Everytime I smell a modern fragrance and it smells like a shower gel, I die a little inside. YSL Y edp is the only blue that gets me but it's because of the ambergris, tonka bean, sage, apple, and touch of ginger that makes it work for me. I love the salted caramel that the ambergris makes with the tonka bean. I only wish it wasn't so cloying where I live. The point you made as to why fresheies don't need to last all day is exactly what the world needs to hear. I'm sick of reviewers giving bad marks for longevity on fresh scents. I like to start my day fresh and my evening wearing something more sensual and warmer. That's why YSL added La Nuit to complement the original L'Homme. It's a clever way to sell two fragrances but genius that they made a day and night fragrance that compliment and enhance each other. I would have a headache if I sprayed my favorite freshy, Issey Miyake pour homme, after 6PM. You're like the human manifestation of fragrance common sense. Thank you for your videos.

dior homme 2020 and narciso rodriguez blue noir EDP my two favorites from this list, i have lalique linsoumis coming in this week from frangrancebuy, is a blind buy so excited to finally put my nose on it, spring time is near by, will try to wear for that season.
I'll have to try that Terre d'Hermes Eau Givreé. I finished a 12ml of the eau tres fraiche flanker recently and I had always wanted a full sized bottle, I was sad to see that they discontinued it. Hopefully Givreé is as good and easy to wear.

My biggest issue with DH2020 is that the liquid in my bottle keeps disappearing. I’m assuming at night an elf sneaks into my house and steals it b/c that’s the only logical explanation for how much I’m going through it. My bottle from November is almost gone.
If Dior has found a new way to empty pockets by making bottles that let their fragrances evaporate faster, I wouldn't be surprised. I hold a grudge for what they did to OG Fahrenheit when the parfum was released and then making it impossible to get the Parfum.
Great video, JC. I have Renaissance. I would strongly suggest you get your nose on Nishane Colognise. A great spring/summer scent. It is in no way generic or juvenile. It would fit perfectly on this list. Give it a try.
@@shajiwahab Yes, I have Nishane Safran Colognise and absolutely luv it. A warmer weather leather/saffron with a "new glossy magazine" accord. Sounds weird but it is not. Perfect for spring/fall. It's in my Top 10 For Life list. I can't wait to wear it in the spring.
Great Video Justin. I always struggle with fresh and office perfumes because I always want them to stand out a bit. I have not smelled any of the ones featured here except for Eau Givree. Have to give it a full wearing though because I just thought it is a watered down Terre d' Hermes when I smelled it on paper. Most of the Valentino perfumes that I smelled have great openings but the lingering sweetness just puts me off. Never tried Acqua. Acqu Di Parma colonia intensa is a great scent, a monster of an EDC that outperforms many EDT, it is fresh, spicy, floral and woody. It lasts 6-8 hours, smells classy, and is very uplifting. Never liked any Rochas pour Homme, but would love to try this one.
Green lover is very nice, but i would say it smells like a tic tac in a very nice way .... i dont use it in the summer but rather in fall and winter but maybe ill try it in the summer.
@stayfreshproductions I just got a decant, and I would say I was a little disappointed (angel scent), scent is more interesting than a typical blue but with a soapy type of scent but also being mature. Kinda smell like an old money type of scent. Performance and project isn't so great on my skin. Needed to overspray and for that I not willing to get a full bottle...
I had no real history with DHI so I was a clean slate when I smelled Homme 2020. I smelled it from the tester on my hand and 2hrs later I went back and bought a bottle..very versatile and a great fresh woody scent. I'm glad it got hate so it won't be overplayed.
Great list! For me the ones that do the same refreshing thing are 4711 Acqua Colonia Blood Orange & Basil, Goutal Eau du Sud, Caron Pour Un Homme De Caron Sport, Guerlain Homme, Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey PH Fraiche and Mercedes-Benz Cologne. Cheers!

Great video again Justin. I did had to get used to an "old" kind of a style one. The only thing I want out of my fresh perfumes, like with all of my perfumes, is that I like them and want to wear them. Most of my perfumes won't offend a lot of people anyways. Platinum Égoïste, is this one generic? I don't know, but I almost again need a new bottle. EAU sauvage EdT, is this one generic? At least way less generic than it's younger brother Sauvage, but I personaly prefer the EAU sauvage every day all day, even during the winter. Houbigant Fougère Royal is getting a little more attention nowadays, but just like the first 2 I mentioned, it is a fresh perfume I love to wear. But is it generic? Pasha EdT, one you like as well, It's just stunning and for some it would smell generic, but is it? I don't know. To me, if a perfume is generic or not, is subjective to the person wearing or smelling it. True, some perfumes you smell everywhere, but even those don't have to be generic to everybody. For some people within the fragcom the label of a perfume not being unique (enough) is, in my opinion, used way to often and to fast.
A very thoughtful post. To me, a generic perfume is one that was made to compete with what is trendy, therefore it smells very similar to what is trendy. It is not necessarily offering anything new, and does not stand out with its own definitive personality. All of the perfumes you listed are not generic in my opinion. One could technically call Pasha EDT generic in the context of when it came out-it smelled similar to others that came out around the same time (RL Safari, YSL Jazz, etc.) but in the context of today, it carries so much more depth than the average modern mainstream release. It outlasted the trend it was created to model, and can now truly shine as the complex and high quality scent that it is.

A lot of perfumes nowadays do have a simular smell to it, perhaps either to ride along on the money train, maybe they don't "dare" to bring out something new (yet). Bringing out a whole new kind of perfume, does cost a lot of money and if it doesn't succeed, it is a financial risk. And with more houses being bought by the big few really big compagnies, the less freedom in making perfumes they get I guess. It's a fact that most houses and compagnies in the end, it's all about the profit/ money they can make. Who knows maybe a house like Chanel has already made something new and is just waiting for the market to be ready for it. It has been a while since they launched a new line. I believe Bleu de Chanel was the first blue perfume out there and look what it did to the industry. Also cloning seems to be more of a booming business then it used to be. I get why they do it, but it's making money on the succes of someone else blood, sweat and tears.
Really great selection, but when it comes to Dior-freshies, I would always reach for Eau Sauvage EDT - I just love that zesty lemon in the opening and that green, herbal dry down.
Bought NR Bleu Noir EDP two weeks ago and I'm amazed by its performance on my skin👌🏿👌🏿. That Dior Homme 2020 is great. I'm happy with these two in my collection. Just want to get Hermès voyage Parfum and Terre Eau Givree.

I find eau givree pretty same to d&g light blue forever, which I love, from the top to the mid, but I don't really love the juniper, aromatic dry down od the eau givree, so it is kinda redundant for me, it is a great frag tho 😍
How are people getting fresh vibes from Rochas 🤷🏾. IMO Only the opening for 20 seconds is the fragrance fresh.. then drys to like a sandalwood, resin scent. No fruits Love your channel brother.
Dior 2020 is love at first sniff for me, it's the first dior i tried, so i didn't go through the "oh my god, no iris, what have they done?" phase ;-) really like the rochas, and been on the fence as for the hermes, as i really love the opening, but heard the movie "gone in 60 seconds" is based on it.
Bon Parfumeur 701. Really look into that one, might find something you'd like. Personally I don't mind the shower-fresh, especially not in the office. Eau Grivée is nice, as is Bleu Noir.
Fragrance Du Bois is really expensive, I own The Rochas, Cartier, Lalique , Valentino, Dior homme 2020, and I agree with the comments you made in this review about them. I might need to try at least samples of the ones I don't have, and I think another one that should be consider very mass appealing is Bvlgari Aqua Atlantique 🥰

Sorry man, love my Bleu de Chanel EDP. Fantastic scent. I will always have that. People who are into fragrances are way more rare than we like to believe. I have found most people don't wear fragrances at all and when they do, they aren't buying fragrances that cost as much as BDC. I'm not saying you have to spend that much (or more) to smell good (I love Wanted by Night and The One EDP for example), I'm saying I think BDC is way less common a fragrance out there in the wild than is often suggested. Sauvage, of course, is an exception because of the Johnny Depp influence. More people are wearing that and it's roughly the same price point as BDC but again, that's the exception. As a rule, dropping 100 plus dollars on a fragrance is something we weirdos do.
Here’s a question that might even turn into a video. What exactly do all frag reviewers mean when they say “Classy”? I mean are they really going out to black tie, or cocktail party events that can back up the description of being “classy”?
To me, it is one of those indescribables. In terms of attire, it doesn’t have to be the fanciest. You know it when you see it. Similarly, you know it when you smell it.
Rochas L'homme is crazy good I get 7 hours funnily enough it has shades of my favourite scent which I cant afford currently which is Rojas Apex though Apex is more balsamic smokey and weighty I love it.
A shout-out for Eau Givree. This is a true gem! It's an another dimension of freshness without being detegentish. I happened to dislike detergentish fragrances (like Dior Sauvage). Eau Givree is a great substitution! It's enjoyable, long-lasting and I'm getting a lot of compliments with it as well.
"Lempicka" should be pronounced more as "Lempitska". Another very nice set of suggestions- keep up! I prefer Dior Homme Sport though - the same kind of scent as Dior Homme 2020 but even fresher

And neither are half as good or as quality as the 2 I mentioned. The Prada comes in a 5oz bottle. 8hrs longevity solid. Quality Iris. For under $80. That’s a bargain for what you’re getting. I guarantee it.
One of my favorite freshies is BVLGARI pour homme extrême. Very fresh and clean, but still different to any other fragrance I know. And another new (finally pulled the trigger) favorite of mine is MFK gentle fluidity silver. Don’t need to tell you anything about that one… 😂
That’s too bad, it has an incredibly realistic grapefruit note that made it an instant classic for me. It also has the woody and earthy profiles from the OG…. I’ll take your bottle off your hands if you don’t want it 😁
Yes of course. But if you’re able to shower before going out, that’s great. If not, it’s totally fine to put on something else if it’s been like 8 hours.

I like to start my day fresh and my evening wearing something more sensual and warmer. That's why YSL added La Nuit to complement the original L'Homme. It's a clever way to sell two fragrances but genius that they made a day and night fragrance that compliment and enhance each other. I would have a headache if I sprayed my favorite freshy, Issey Miyake pour homme, after 6PM. You're like the human manifestation of fragrance common sense. Thank you for your videos.

dior homme 2020 and narciso rodriguez blue noir EDP my two favorites from this list, i have lalique linsoumis coming in this week from frangrancebuy, is a blind buy so excited to finally put my nose on it, spring time is near by, will try to wear for that season.
I'll have to try that Terre d'Hermes Eau Givreé. I finished a 12ml of the eau tres fraiche flanker recently and I had always wanted a full sized bottle, I was sad to see that they discontinued it. Hopefully Givreé is as good and easy to wear.

My biggest issue with DH2020 is that the liquid in my bottle keeps disappearing. I’m assuming at night an elf sneaks into my house and steals it b/c that’s the only logical explanation for how much I’m going through it. My bottle from November is almost gone.

If Dior has found a new way to empty pockets by making bottles that let their fragrances evaporate faster, I wouldn't be surprised. I hold a grudge for what they did to OG Fahrenheit when the parfum was released and then making it impossible to get the Parfum.
I feel like the Atomizer just somehow manages to spray a lot of juice at once somehow.

Great video, JC. I have Renaissance. I would strongly suggest you get your nose on Nishane Colognise. A great spring/summer scent. It is in no way generic or juvenile. It would fit perfectly on this list. Give it a try.

@@shajiwahab Yes, I have Nishane Safran Colognise and absolutely luv it. A warmer weather leather/saffron with a "new glossy magazine" accord. Sounds weird but it is not. Perfect for spring/fall. It's in my Top 10 For Life list. I can't wait to wear it in the spring.

Great Video Justin. I always struggle with fresh and office perfumes because I always want them to stand out a bit. I have not smelled any of the ones featured here except for Eau Givree. Have to give it a full wearing though because I just thought it is a watered down Terre d' Hermes when I smelled it on paper. Most of the Valentino perfumes that I smelled have great openings but the lingering sweetness just puts me off. Never tried Acqua. Acqu Di Parma colonia intensa is a great scent, a monster of an EDC that outperforms many EDT, it is fresh, spicy, floral and woody. It lasts 6-8 hours, smells classy, and is very uplifting. Never liked any Rochas pour Homme, but would love to try this one.

@stayfreshproductions I just got a decant, and I would say I was a little disappointed (angel scent), scent is more interesting than a typical blue but with a soapy type of scent but also being mature. Kinda smell like an old money type of scent. Performance and project isn't so great on my skin. Needed to overspray and for that I not willing to get a full bottle...
Roadster was my very first love. It was my 5th fragrance ever.
I had no real history with DHI so I was a clean slate when I smelled Homme 2020. I smelled it from the tester on my hand and 2hrs later I went back and bought a bottle..very versatile and a great fresh woody scent. I'm glad it got hate so it won't be overplayed.

The only thing I want out of my fresh perfumes, like with all of my perfumes, is that I like them and want to wear them. Most of my perfumes won't offend a lot of people anyways. Platinum Égoïste, is this one generic? I don't know, but I almost again need a new bottle. EAU sauvage EdT, is this one generic? At least way less generic than it's younger brother Sauvage, but I personaly prefer the EAU sauvage every day all day, even during the winter. Houbigant Fougère Royal is getting a little more attention nowadays, but just like the first 2 I mentioned, it is a fresh perfume I love to wear. But is it generic? Pasha EdT, one you like as well, It's just stunning and for some it would smell generic, but is it? I don't know.
To me, if a perfume is generic or not, is subjective to the person wearing or smelling it. True, some perfumes you smell everywhere, but even those don't have to be generic to everybody. For some people within the fragcom the label of a perfume not being unique (enough) is, in my opinion, used way to often and to fast.
A very thoughtful post. To me, a generic perfume is one that was made to compete with what is trendy, therefore it smells very similar to what is trendy. It is not necessarily offering anything new, and does not stand out with its own definitive personality.
All of the perfumes you listed are not generic in my opinion.
One could technically call Pasha EDT generic in the context of when it came out-it smelled similar to others that came out around the same time (RL Safari, YSL Jazz, etc.) but in the context of today, it carries so much more depth than the average modern mainstream release. It outlasted the trend it was created to model, and can now truly shine as the complex and high quality scent that it is.

A lot of perfumes nowadays do have a simular smell to it, perhaps either to ride along on the money train, maybe they don't "dare" to bring out something new (yet). Bringing out a whole new kind of perfume, does cost a lot of money and if it doesn't succeed, it is a financial risk. And with more houses being bought by the big few really big compagnies, the less freedom in making perfumes they get I guess. It's a fact that most houses and compagnies in the end, it's all about the profit/ money they can make.
Who knows maybe a house like Chanel has already made something new and is just waiting for the market to be ready for it. It has been a while since they launched a new line. I believe Bleu de Chanel was the first blue perfume out there and look what it did to the industry.
Also cloning seems to be more of a booming business then it used to be. I get why they do it, but it's making money on the succes of someone else blood, sweat and tears.
Really great selection, but when it comes to Dior-freshies, I would always reach for Eau Sauvage EDT - I just love that zesty lemon in the opening and that green, herbal dry down.
Bought NR Bleu Noir EDP two weeks ago and I'm amazed by its performance on my skin👌🏿👌🏿. That Dior Homme 2020 is great. I'm happy with these two in my collection. Just want to get Hermès voyage Parfum and Terre Eau Givree.

I find eau givree pretty same to d&g light blue forever, which I love, from the top to the mid, but I don't really love the juniper, aromatic dry down od the eau givree, so it is kinda redundant for me, it is a great frag tho 😍
How are people getting fresh vibes from Rochas 🤷🏾. IMO Only the opening for 20 seconds is the fragrance fresh.. then drys to like a sandalwood, resin scent. No fruits

Dior 2020 is love at first sniff for me, it's the first dior i tried, so i didn't go through the "oh my god, no iris, what have they done?" phase ;-) really like the rochas, and been on the fence as for the hermes, as i really love the opening, but heard the movie "gone in 60 seconds" is based on it.

Bon Parfumeur 701. Really look into that one, might find something you'd like. Personally I don't mind the shower-fresh, especially not in the office. Eau Grivée is nice, as is Bleu Noir.

Fragrance Du Bois is really expensive, I own The Rochas, Cartier, Lalique , Valentino, Dior homme 2020, and I agree with the comments you made in this review about them. I might need to try at least samples of the ones I don't have, and I think another one that should be consider very mass appealing is Bvlgari Aqua Atlantique 🥰

Sorry man, love my Bleu de Chanel EDP. Fantastic scent. I will always have that. People who are into fragrances are way more rare than we like to believe. I have found most people don't wear fragrances at all and when they do, they aren't buying fragrances that cost as much as BDC. I'm not saying you have to spend that much (or more) to smell good (I love Wanted by Night and The One EDP for example), I'm saying I think BDC is way less common a fragrance out there in the wild than is often suggested. Sauvage, of course, is an exception because of the Johnny Depp influence. More people are wearing that and it's roughly the same price point as BDC but again, that's the exception. As a rule, dropping 100 plus dollars on a fragrance is something we weirdos do.
Some people spend 100-200 om cigarettes every month, spending thst on a fragrance you love is a better deal if you ask me!

What exactly do all frag reviewers mean when they say “Classy”? I mean are they really going out to black tie, or cocktail party events that can back up the description of being “classy”?
To me, it is one of those indescribables. In terms of attire, it doesn’t have to be the fanciest. You know it when you see it. Similarly, you know it when you smell it.

This is a true gem! It's an another dimension of freshness without being detegentish. I happened to dislike detergentish fragrances (like Dior Sauvage). Eau Givree is a great substitution! It's enjoyable, long-lasting and I'm getting a lot of compliments with it as well.

Very fresh and clean, but still different to any other fragrance I know.

Yes of course. But if you’re able to shower before going out, that’s great. If not, it’s totally fine to put on something else if it’s been like 8 hours.
