    My respect for you has just gone up for putting Fahrenheit on your list. It was the Dior sauvage of the 90s so didn't like it, but nowadays in such a saturated market full of weak generic fragrances I realise what a masterpiece it is, it is now my winter signature scent.

    • @sharfalor4244
      @sharfalor4244 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Got my son rocking Farenheit at age 19 because he doesn't want to smell like everyone else. I remember when it came out and it being the Sauavage of the day.

    • @rockywaters9592
      @rockywaters9592 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sharfalor4244 it was indeed the sauvage of the day, which was why at the time I never wore it. Fast forward 25yrs and now in my 40s I wear it often, especially in winter and it gets compliments from younger folk and smiles from older ones. What makes Fahrenheit special imo is it doesn't smell old school or dated like many of its contemporaries of its day, its extremely unique! Nice to hear younger guys rocking it, its a timeless classic.

    • @rockywaters9592
      @rockywaters9592 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sharfalor4244 as I side note, despite me owning a modern reformulated Dior Fahrenheit, I recommend "The Man Cobalt" by Milton Lloyd which imo smells more like the original Fahrenheit than the current Dior version, its ridiculously cheap and performs like a beast.

    • @sharfalor4244
      @sharfalor4244 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rockywaters9592 ohh thanks, I will check that out for him. All the reformulations are annoying, it definitely doesn't perform as good as it used to, unless it's just that I was used to everyone in the bar wearing it, even some of us girls. 😂

    • @rockywaters9592
      @rockywaters9592 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sharfalor4244 trust me, if you remember Fahrenheit from the early 90s you'll appreciate the Milton Lloyd version, its more true to the original than diors current one. It lasts all day on my skin, and can still smell it on my clothes next day. I paid £6 for my Milton Lloyd one, I don't often buy copies, but with "The Man Cobalt" it's definitely worth a shot. 👌

    The thing about Dior is it usually knocks out all other fragrances in the room, it lets ppl know you’re here. But my go to in summertime is the Versace Man Eau Fraiche. My wife hates when I wear because of the attention it gets. Ppl just leaning in to smell you, especially women and the gents begging to know what it is. On the the pricey side Bond no.9 Bleecker St. The most complemented fragrance I own.

    Here's my top 5 worn frags in 2022, Antonio:
    1. Haeckels - Pegwell Bay.
    This is THE best fragrance for anyone who loves sea / salt notes. It's an olfactory work of art, lots of naturals in there and it is a summer / spring frag that really lasts. Amazing.
    2. PDM - Carlisle.
    As Antonio said, it's such a fabulous cold 🥶 weather perfume. Knockout.
    3. Histoire de Parfums - 1740 (Marqiis de Sade).
    If you want the animalistic, filthy, fizzy and beast mode perfume - that is proper perfumery (not designer crap) - then go for this. Sex, leather chairs, intimacy, filth and decadence in a bottle.
    4. Hermes - Equipage.
    I had Equipage Geranium last year and switched up to Equipage this year. Clean, soapy, floral, fresh, wet.
    5. Xerjoff Naxos.
    Best frag ever. Worth every penny. Smell like a King 🤴
    Honorable mention - Guerlain Habit Rouge EDT, Diptyque Philosikos, L'artisan Parfumers Timbuktu.

    My face lit up when you mentioned Givenchy Reserve Privee, Antonio.
    I recently went shopping at Macy’s for Bleu de Chanel or Versace Eros but was sold on Givenchy by the lady working the cologne section. She was ecstatic to show me this new Gentleman line from Givenchy, a house I had never heard of until that day and I’m so glad I went with it. Apparently the royal family wears Givenchy according to this employee, but who knows if that’s true and that’s beside the point anyways.
    I was deciding between Society and Reserve Privee and I’m very glad I went with the latter because it’s deep, rich, mature, and very manly and I can’t wait to wear it out on dates.
    Great video!

      I tested Mont Blanc Legend the other night. At first I was pretty impressed but within 10 minutes it seemed to go stale. Now to be clear, I had Legend on one wrist and John Varvatos XX Artisan Teal on the other and the Teal smelled terrific but wasn't much impressed by Legend. In fact, it gave me a headache and reminded me of the smell of my friends house in the 80s because his dad wore something similar and the smell in the house was a stale version. Maybe I'm missing something.

    My problem is that my favorite scent isn't just one. It's a layered mix of Tom Ford Oud Wood, then Grey Vetiver. Either have their own place alone, but together just seems to be perfect. And therein lies the problem as purchasing both gets pricey.
    The other I enjoy is the old school Sean Jean Unforgiveable. Found a bottle in the back of the cabinet I bought when it first came out. Forgot it was there for like 15 years. I can wear it now and have it solid for 8 hours.
    I wish they made them now like they used to, but it seems the trend is give them a wiff so they come in closer. Can't say I disagree, but a little better perdormance would go a long ways with many of the current offerings.

    Classic Azzaro and Paco Rabbane should be must tries for everyone. Paco got me on the fragrance journey. Well it was Brut that did it for me but it was Paco that got me a lot of love from women my age at the time 19-23. I found Azzaro in a TJMaxx and bought it for my dad because I always used his Paco. I was surprised at the similarities yet differences. Theyre both timeless to me. I hit the jackpot when I saved up and bought YSL Rive Gauche, designed by my favorite perfumer to be like those classic barbershop scents. I sprayed too much and it always gave me a headache but after I learned how to not overdo, my female customers were stopping to tell me to never stop wearing it. It was a hit with both young and old. Very good YSL but unfortunately it got discontinued but that's OK because the same perfumer that made it also made Opium pour homme and I much prefer an oriental. I get annoyed that at the time no one wanted Rive Gauche pour homme but ten years later I go to buy a bottle and it's on ebay for ten times the price I paid ($37). Why? Because Tom Ford is associated with it. It wasn't Tom's frag that was Cavillieres invention.

    I loved Chopard Heaven. Now my not too obvious choices are: Joop Nightflight, L eau par Kenzo, Salvador Dali Le Roy Soleil, Givenchy Insense Ultramarine, Fahrenheit, Aqua di Gio, Davidoff Cool Water. Don't like most new fragrances. They're either too manly with wood, leather and whisky notes, or too repetitive and not very much distinctive. The ones I've mentioned may be old, but so original and unforgettable to your nose.
