I would like it if you referenced the real designers and costumers who created the looks you refer to as "Carrie" inspired.
They are real and they are really interesting. "x-pessially" folks like Betsy Johnson or Norma Kamalli - there are dozens of styles that created and contributed to MTV earliest songbird videos which are pure thrift store, sparkly, bohemian looks that Pat Fields re-created for the SITC characters.
Your range and influence is significantly bigger than "carrie."
It might be cute, but to my eye, not "a thing" that can be seen as a style all her own.
I completely agree. I understand that you hold Carrie B in high regard stylistically, but it was the designers and stylists that put those looks together, not the fictional character, and I think you do them a disservice by not mentioning that.
Beth has the body to totally make almost anything she finds while thrifting into looks and the ability to fit into children items it a total plus. Great spokesperson for the secondhand market. I really like the items she is taking home because they will work perfectly into her existing closet.
Love the video concept so much! I’m only 3 minutes in and with no microphone, I can hear every scrape and background noise. Your voice barely comes through. Please keep using a microphone at the thrift store. 😅

A cape as a halter top is just genius and so much fun! Weirdly my fave is the cancun shirt- the fit is excellent and the bold graphic is going to be fun to play with. Cannot wait to see what you create with your new finds. The audio was fine for me- but i imagine on headphones it could be a harsher experience? Beth has mentioned the stylists and designers of SATC and AJLT numerous times before, just not in the video today, FYI. This is a casual thrift along, there is no script.

During the holidays I bought a vintage black beaded top almost exactly like the one you were looking at. I wore it with zipper in the front and it made it feel more edgy/modern.
I think you should have gotten the pink set and the white blouse as well. Those were very Carrie! Great haul otherwise
