Out of idol curiosity, I’m watching because I like your style. I’m gen X so I just wear what I like, which is vintage and witchy. Most people don’t really get it, but I spent too many years of my life trying to please others. My style is now for me. Long story longer, I’m just not that worried about what current trends are doing. I have two daughters in middle school to keep me clued in. One said I embarrassed her. I asked her how and she said my outfit. I told her, “guess what. Having a weird parent builds character”. 💀🤷🏼♀️
I would love to have you as my mom, I'm sure your outfits are super cool. I think it's just because when you are a teenager you prefer to fit in, and not stand out in any way
@@beatricetoscano2247 thanks. I think they will appreciate my authenticity and individuality, as they get older. Middle school is tough. It comes from a long hard process of healing from years of abuse, but that’s another story.
i love love love vintage and witchy styles so much!! its one of my biggest style inspirations and i love to see people wearing it unapologetically simply because its what they like
Omg yes I think things like embroidery, crochet, knitting, pins, stickers, bows, anything easily DIYable when it comes to clothes, is gonna be so popular
i actually agree with a lot of the trends you mentioned! they totally make sense as a natural progression. also i have to say you look absolutely stunning in this video! that top? dress? situation is gorgeous and your bangs are banging. as someone who got bangs earlier this year i can 100% relate to the bandana method. you can't go wrong!
okay first off THANK YOU!! Dress is vintage from the 80s and the bangs were behaving this day so obviously I had to film with them cooperating so well:) happy I didn’t seem too crazy and these actually make a bit of sense🤞🏼🤞🏼
Love the pirate victorian core! Would love to see a lookbook with that aesthetic. I live in Berlin and I "made up" a Cottage Core techno vibe haha, so corsets, fishnets, chunky boots... the juxtaposition of these aesthetics is so cool!
This feels like true fall style... strong undertones of practicality with a hint of whimsy or luxe. That's what feels like the season -- not necessarily a particular color or length of hem/sleeve. I will say that the sash one caught me off-guard, but, now that I think about it... I could see that being way cute as a sort of tartan plaid nod to scottish dress. Perhaps even styling an extra long scarf to tie around the neck for warmth, but then ultimately drape in a loop, cross-body like a sash.
I have been lucky enough to know one of those fantastic older jewelry wearing ladies, she has been in my life since I was a toddler. Over the years she’s gifted me several amazing pieces of jewelry and I treasure them so much😭 Her collection is incredible!
Haha that's me now. I have jewelry I wore in the 70's as a young girl. I I also have jewelry handed down to me from my mom and my mother-in-law. and stuff I have collected through the years on my thrifting trips. And I love stacking it as pictured. I have a little of each category you mentioned. I could not pull off the Juliet cap at my age.
Sameeee I made an elf bonnet (like, it just has a teeny point at the top vs being round) and it was so simple and fun; I didn’t even follow a pattern I just kinda did my thing!! I need to get back on the grind too fr fr my yarn stash is so lonely and unused rn
I feel like the 2024 version of the medieval/boho revival is what I would dub "frontier-core," like its giving 1870s Western town...very romantic and flowy but still with some structured and/or workwear inspired items. It incorporates both masculine and feminine elements i.e. something you could wear on horseback but also to the local saloon...
I'm an oldie, and in the 80s that pirate look was also called 'buccaneer' and 'new romantic' after the UK new romantic trend that included music, fashion and art.
Gurl!! I can't get over how glorious your hair looks in this video!! the nose ring and the other jewelry you have on!!! The little eyeshadow you have on highlights those beautiful magnetic eyes you have. That gorgeous black dress?!? come on queen!! You know you serving!!!
Sometimes I don’t even want to click on new TH-camrs just because I don’t want to watch 5 minutes & change it because they’re not my style. I’m very glad I clicked on this video:) you seem so genuine. When you mentioned that about your ED hair loss it was so funny & real. Your suggestions were really neat as well :) thank you!
Yay I love your take on trends. For me my autumn uniform consists of my trusty 501s, long denim skirts, thin turtle necks and lightweight vintage leather jackets (I live in the UK). But I’m thinking of thrifting some of the accessories that you mentioned here like charms for my bag and bandanas to make my outfits feel new! 🫶
Just stumbled upon your video. I had so many of those pieces in my late 70s to early 80s vintage & eclectic wardrobe. Back then, I stuck out and was teased (and sometimes randomly complimented). May you find my tall lace up boots, long skirts, Navy top, boy scout sash and more out there. I gained a bit of weight and had dull cubicle jobs in the big 80s/90s, and lost my style mojo for too long. Like you said--hang on to the cool pieces and rock them when you get
Not gonna lie I clicked on this video thinking meh because there so many fashion girlie's who just don't give anything unique or valuable it's just regurgitation. I am subscribing I'm excited to go through your back log ❤
ive been wishing for a medieval renaissance because i love the costume design in house of the dragon so much but i’m having such a hard time finding keywords to find cool pieces on vinted that i’ll actually be able to incorporate in my wardrobe 😭 can’t find inspo anywhere!
omg I’m obsessed with house of the dragon and GOT is one of my favorite shows…all of Alicent’s emerald green dresses🫦 my Pinterest is @thatgingerprincess and I might have some pins on there that could help with inspo and some key words!
Thank you for giving me that push of confidence to actually wear this cool poncho I've had for years, loved, but have been unsure of and nervous to wear.
So excited for the county fair 4H girlies running abound with their “grand champ, poultry princess, pork queen” sashes finally getting their moment ❤️ really hope we see these ribbons all fall round
I love when mainstream fashion TH-camrs tell me that kimonos, asymmetrical, waterfall, hanky & hi-lo hems are OUT. Not in my closet they're not. And now suddenly wider, flare leg & looser pants are in style? Never left my closet actually & neither did maxi dresses & skirts. I do wear bandanas but mostly to keep my hair from getting paint in it (I'm an artist) or just out of my way when I am doing stuff. It's too thick to wear comfortably in a pony or bun. I love hats but my head gets hot wearing them & you'd think you were wearing a dead skunk on your head the way people react to a hat 😮 But I love me an embellished head band or hair clip. I'm enjoying the current trends since so many of them vibe with colors & silhouettes I already like & wear. Ankle boots & high top sneakers are staples worn year round but I'd really love tall lace up boots like what you showed in the video. I've been looking for a pair for years now. I always described my aesthetic/style jokingly as Vintage-Boho-Witch (gypsy is not an acceptable term anymore) But yeah there are definitely elements of whimsy goth I vibe with. 😊
Ever since last fall I have been rocking all sorts of long drapey outfits!! Skirts and dresses and flowy beach coverups and, now that it's getting cold again, SHAWLS. I love wearing a drapey flowing outfit and lots of rings and a hair stick. Regardless of the trending items, it's gotta fit in with that favorite base style of mine if I'm gonna wear it. That said, I loooove funky tights and would have so much fun if I got my hands on a red vertical striped pair!!!
We like men's workwear because it's warm, durable and comfortable. Women's clothing has been leaning towards such fast fashion and cheap cloth that people are tired of it.
Girl Ive been wearing 60% of these trends since always and I think it's cool how the trend cycle works bc no matter your style your stuff will eventually trend and also I can't even squeeze into jeans half the time so I feel ya there girl that's why I love me some maxi skirts
I have this fringe leather jacket that I’ve been holding onto for years and trying to style when it gets cooler but it’s just not my color 🥲 feels like it’s so much harder to find cool toned leather jackets than warm toned
If you aren’t wearing it anyway, you might be able to try and get it dyed gray or something - I’ve brought bags to a leather bag restoration place where they redye stuff like that. It can change the leather texture but it should soften
ponchos yesss!!!! as a peruvian it makes me very happy to know that my culture is becoming a super cute accessory and trend. can't wait to b a poncho princess
I'm one of "those women"...lol...the older ones who wear all the cool jewelry they've collected over the years. At almost 68, I have some marvelous bits and bobs from the 1970s onward. Great stuff. You're so much like a younger me when I was your age. Same fashion sense, and I was a true redhead, too, from birth until silver! Love your style, of course.
Yesss to the snood/Juliette cap. I got a snood/headband at a renaissance fair last month and i was like wow these are gonna make a comeback and im surprised they havent already.
Yeah!! I literally diyed an old blazer with pins & brooches just because Effy from Skins UK had one on in the series!! I have mine since 6-7 years & im still so proud of it!🥰♥️
I know it is hard to, but don't be afraid of aging; I am much more at peace with myself, even with mental health issues, at 39 than I ever was in my 20's - also, I don't worry as much about the small things or what other people think of me 😊
Ok wait, the victorian pirate trend... I actually love this because lately I've been saying I want to give off the look of "casual ren faire". I lean a little more into the browns and golds than black and silver but I am allll for this.
love how these trends feel like such easy staples + things I already have in my wardrobe. can't wait to reclaim my middle school fashion from the 2010s ha. ;)
I’ve seen some brands like free people, Frye, and Jeffrey Campbell recently release lace up knee high boots but they’re pretty expensive and I would go with vintage at that point (if you can) BEST OF LUCK🤞🏼💋💋
@@CarolineTucker Omg u replied so fast! I was looking for some vintage or secondhand ones cuz I don't have that kind of money lol. Also obsessed with ponchos but I want to find a really nice wool one for the winter
the sashes is interesting, I feel like it will trend eventually more towards end of winter/early spring. I feel like it fits that time a little more. definitely by summer tho!
A lot of these are things I've been doing for a while already haha, I'm so ahead of this trend game. I'm also from LA but it's JUST starting to get chilly rn so I'm excited to wear big coats and blazers
I've never come across your channel before and I'm so glad I did. You have such an eye for fashion and fun personality. However, I think you need to work a bit more on your editing for the video. Several times when you made cuts the audio overlapped, which created a more stressful and fast-paced tone. Like you didn't even finish a sentence before the next oke started 😂 I prefer more slow paced content so it's easier to listen and reflect on what the speaker is saying. Also because I like to have YT in the background but for this video it felt like I needed to be fully present to be able to hear every word you said. A tip is to add ~0.5 of silence between cuts to create a more understandable flow.
I would say that Erykah Badu is more so a trendsetter of the Earthy Black Girl aesthetic which is closely related to the Boho style but not necessarily the same (Taylor Cassidy has a really wonderful video featuring Ava Tetteh Ocloo on the difference), but Lisa Bonet's style is definitely "boho"/whimsygoth
I have been wanting a pair of tall, lace up leather boots with a low walking heel forever. I've considered having a pair made (I usually need a wide calf option in a tall boot & I dislike faux leather because it doesn't last) It would be worth the investment since I would wear them with everything 😮
I went through my fringe jacket phase, a fringe boot phase, a fringe poncho phase a fringe purse phase which I am currently reliving...and fringe earrings have been in regular rotation for well over a decade...
I feel like the trends really got all over the place, we have medieval, pirate, native American and south American outerwear, then leather jackets and long coats, on top of it crochet. At this point I just wear what I like and I never felt out of place whether something is a current trend or not. Though I will look for boots similar to yours, they rock - I don't like too fancy or too grungey ones. The trend I love and guess it's already over is gradients. Bought a long dress with brownish gradients right around Dune 2 and the top that goes from white to dark blue. The company is Reserved, a chain from Poland but I'm sure something similar can be found in the US
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ trendcast. I completely agree. The Juliet cap was a new one for me but I love it. Have you tried squeezing into leather pants while wearing tights? I feel like that would work…🤔
I gotta be so honest, I'm a girlie that LOVES clown things but the vertical red and white stripes are absolutely giving Uncle Sam and I'm unsee it 😭I love love love the striped red tights though!! I would also really love to get into the super stacked necklace look, but every time I try, they always end up super tangled. Is that how it is for everyone bc I love the look but not enough to untangle all day
Sometimes I have a moment of anger knowing how some people sell their really good family heirloom jewelry to me at estate sales when they could realize what true treasures those trinkets really are and keeping them...
Would you believe me if I told you I found it on the street lol…was on a run one morning and this house put it out front with a “free sign” and I called my friend to pick me and the chair up!
I can't find anything cute in my small town in the Netherlands. I messaged so many sellers on depop but they don't ship and I can't find these types of items on Vinted
I feel like a lot of fashion TH-camrs don't really have very unique styles, but yours is so unique to you and your preferences!!
omg how sweet are you!!!! THANK YOU😚😚 appreciate it so much!

You know a lot of these trends are definitely warrior goddess aesthetic. Very interesting 🤔 like charlize theron in mad max.
Obsessed with literally everythiny

I went through my fringe jacket phase, a fringe boot phase, a fringe poncho phase a fringe purse phase which I am currently reliving...and fringe earrings have been in regular rotation for well over a decade...
CHAINMAILLLLL so cute
I feel like the trends really got all over the place, we have medieval, pirate, native American and south American outerwear, then leather jackets and long coats, on top of it crochet. At this point I just wear what I like and I never felt out of place whether something is a current trend or not. Though I will look for boots similar to yours, they rock - I don't like too fancy or too grungey ones.
The trend I love and guess it's already over is gradients. Bought a long dress with brownish gradients right around Dune 2 and the top that goes from white to dark blue. The company is Reserved, a chain from Poland but I'm sure something similar can be found in the US
I love ❤your hair/Pendant/dress! 🎉
Is that how it is for everyone bc I love the look but not enough to untangle all day
lmao I was feeling sailor core all summer
Spot on & refreshing.
imo we're badly underestimating how big filet crochet is gonna be
seeing it everywhere already and I am READY!
I literally was swinging my feet and giggling at 8:04 lmao
Also I can’t find your Pinterest account. Can you link it bb girrrrl
It’s @thatgingerprincess! pin.it/4tKKq65V1
That "Juliet Cap" segment made me think Whitney Houston from "The Bodyguard" movie with Kevin Costner...
Lmao the people in silver lake who look like they can change a tire but in fact cannot 😂 so accurate
I got married in a chainmail sort of dress so I approve 100%
Sometimes I have a moment of anger knowing how some people sell their really good family heirloom jewelry to me at estate sales when they could realize what true treasures those trinkets really are and keeping them...
Not fashion related, but where did you get your orange chair??? Just the sliver we see looks super cute! 🧡
Would you believe me if I told you I found it on the street lol…was on a run one morning and this house put it out front with a “free sign” and I called my friend to pick me and the chair up!
I can't find anything cute in my small town in the Netherlands. I messaged so many sellers on depop but they don't ship and I can't find these types of items on Vinted
that’s so funny because I’ve always been jealous of vinted and sad I can’t access it because I feel like I always see such cool vinted hauls😭😭
