Yes, the title is clickbait, but everyone knew that. You can't use an S4 in 2024 because its 2G/3G and VoLTE is required for voice and activating a phone.

Ikr, the s6 was a horrible phone, mine would overheat like crazy by just navigating through the menus, battery life was horrible, and all the bloatware Samsung put it in there meant there was not much storage available for the user, and unlike the S4 it didn't have expandable storage, and finally, two purple lines appeared on the screen even though I never hit the screen. The s6 was just a galaxy S4 with glass back and way less features.
There’s was black edition S4 which had the faux leather back as that year’s Note also had. I bought a replacement black edition back and put it on my regular S4. Fixed the glossy and slippery issue
@ yes, it’s a beautiful device. It was actually my first Samsung phone and I’ve been part of the Samsung ecosystem ever since. After that phone I switched to the Note edge which came out the following year and I’ve been dealing with the Samsung Note phones until they rebranded to Ultra.

@ they used to sell Anker branded battery chargers! You literally just took the battery out of the phone, put it in the charger and plugged the charger straight into the wall. I would be using one battery while the other one was charging.
The S4 was my first new smartphone. I paid it with my money and my parents added to their Verizon contract. I remember liking it but the storage I dislike because it was 16GB (if I remember correctly) and with the Samsung and Verizon bloat I had 8GB to play with. Then I learned you can disable some bloat and move apps to SD card by default made it a really good phone. To this day my favorite case is the SView and saw they still making some for S24 Ultra and half tempting getting it
I agree 💯 and it was my second smartphone. My first was a Sony Xperia Ray which was only 3.3 inch and going to the S4 with 5 inch was a huge leap back in the day. 😂

This was my first phone. It was my mom’s that she gave to me when she got a new phone. I was using it like 4/5 years after it came out and I remember having this crappy plastic screen protector on it (that I eventually replaced) and rooting it to clean off the bloatware right before I replaced it (the warranty was long dead at that point).
My second smartphone… my bestie and I both had one and we LOVED beaming things… it’s the one thing we miss the most out of any phone today… I wish they would really go crazy and bring it back
I absolutely agree. Actually, I get mine shipped later this day (bought a new one). I live in Germany, but why do you suggest getting a European version? That was a great commercial actually! I remember upgrading my S3 to S4 and it felt like a big update! I had a metal case that screwed together made it feel like a tank!
I remember getting my Galaxy S4 32GB at that time on launch day, got it in this exact colour (Black Mist), absolutely enjoyed using it. I came from a S3 and the S4 was a very nice setup up, especially in terms of Battery Life, Screen Quality and RAM as the S3 (i9300 Exynos) had come with too little (1GB), the S4 landed with 2GB RAM along with that Exynos Octa Core chip and significantly larger battery. The big thing for me was the move from HD720P screen on S3 to S4’s FullHD1080P panel which was just spectacular, it is actually insane the jumps that were being made in display tech, chips, memory etc…around this time, also the absolute absurd amount of sensors Samsung put in the S4 some of which were removed in succeeding models. What I loved about Samsung around this time was how aggressive they were in implementing many features, throwing everything at the wall, throwing a big battery, a top of the line screen and still selling at a decent price. These devices were also so well built from an ergonomics point of view, “big” at the time but soooo easy to hold and use. This was an amazing time in Mobile, so glad I was able to love through it and enjoy it 😄 I eventually moved the following year to a Galaxy Note 4 which was another level of beast as well.
Feature where you could record yourself while recording with back camera was eventually reintroduced around 2020 or 2021 , can't remember exactly , but is a good way to video blog things without needing two separate devices. I'm guessing that some 3rd party camera software kept it alive in a mean time , but it's neat feature to have , when you need it. Also , S4 had feature if the phone rings and you turn the screen to face any surface , it'll silent the phone and if already on the screen , it'll assume that you want it to be silent. I found that feature very useful , but , depending on the phone case and did it utilize gyro to be able to tell if you wanted it silent , I can also see it being a bad thing in some cases where you didn't want to accidentally miss the very important call.

Nokia 3210 and Samsung Galaxy S4 (and S2) are the best phones ive ever had....why dont Samsung respond to my suggestions to produce "gold" versions of S2 and S4 ?
In 2025 i still using s4 in daily use hehehhe
This phone can handle android 12 decently with a custom rom
Did bro just call a 5 inch screen phone a phablet 😂
