EASY: Change CMOS Motherboard Battery & Fix BIOS Date & Time Errors

in this video we explain how to change the battery in your computer that keeps track of your configuration settings and the system time even when it's powered off and unplugged.
One way to tell that your motherboard CMOS battery needs to be changed is that is that when you power it up after being unplugged for a while you get you get configuration errors often relating to the date and time.
You might see an error like real time clock error, or system CMOS checksum bad, or time of day not set, or please run setup program.

Changing the CMOS battery is not a difficult task And and the price of the CMOS battery is just a couple of dollars. A motherboard battery like the one shown in this video is a CR2032 which can be bought many big box stores, some grocery stores, and even some corner stores or dollar stores. In this video we bought ours from Amazon but it really but it really doesn't make any difference where you get them from and it really doesn't make much difference what the brand is.
You can easily change your motherboard's battery. You do not need a professional and you and you do not need to take it into a computer repair shop. You can do it yourself .

i do all of that but cant open .. my computer just blinking the power led and camera light led no power also charging led also blinking...

why when i change the battery it doesn't work???? i goty alienware and it beeps 5 time even after changing the battery cmos ... so

and i got F2 for setuip and F12 but none of them work for somereason...

i changed the battery and jumped it keyboard doesn't work in boot screen either

You never showed us how to change the date if the date is wrong.

that m.2 is screaming for its life
