One of the most valuable videos I've ever watched for a bookkeeping firm. The content in this video is full of gold!!!! Thank you for providing this.
It really helps with communication and pricing during discovery conversations. And it helps avoid the pitfalls of having misaligned expectations from the start... not scope creep, but starting off on different paths, even when we're doing white glove customization.
Having a framework like this for the initial conversations let's us determine the client's expectations so we can price and deliver accordingly.
Sometimes they don't know how to articulate what they want or expect. Especially if they're coming from in-house bookkeeping. So I will use this to formulate questions to learn what they want from the beginning. Thank you!!!!!!!!!🙌

In our business, we learned this lesson over time:
    1) Microsoft Windows (and to a lesser degree, Apple's operating system) can dictate to their customers: "our new version of Windows will force you to learn our new way"
    2) if there is choice in the marketplace, customer retention can drop if you impose "this benefits us" things like semi-monopolies get away with
Because our business thrives on low churn, a huge effort is 'accommodate the customer.' We're not in a position like Microsoft or Apple - more like Burger King, "have it your way"
So this series of videos is fantastic for structuring! but in our case, we also cater to customer idiosyncrasies. Churn is painful and each day, I wake up envious of Bill Gates et al. The internal organization offered in these few videos - a huge contribution to our world. Thank you!

I swiped that spreadsheet and I'm definitely going to put it to use in my firm. Thank you!

Jason's been on the road for the past 24 hours.
Haters will say it's bulk recorded on the same day as yesterday's episode.

I really like the tiers and sub tiers.
A good number of issues I have had is not being detailed enough in the internal and external communication around the correct items.

Any tips on how to leverage AI to standardize services?

In general start with standardization first, then plug in AI.
Most folks try to do the opposite: How can AI make me more standardized?
But they're doing something different for everyone, and get mad when AI doesn't understand that.
