The Von Miller compensation took a lot of the hurt out of this trade. With him they only gave up a half year of what was turning out to be a mediocre to bad year. They would still be negotiating with Miller now even if he was with the team - he wasn't going to be franchised. I think the front office has done a great job.

As a Seahawks fan,the Broncos are very lucky to get Wilson,he plays with determination and they will probably be one the best stat producing teams in a single season ever.

It was actually because of Pete's system and 40+ years of knowledge of the game, that he knew which were the best positions to put Russell into for him to have success. RW has the talent, but Pete knew that Russell struggled with the terminology, staring down reads, and it took a lot to work around Russell's weaknesses offensively when it came to play calling.

I know this is a different situation than it was in 2010, but Pete Carroll and John Schnieder did this once before. They cleaned house and brought in talents that weren’t big names and turned that into two Super Bowl appearances and the greatest play in Super Bowl history. As far as I know only one other team was looking at Russell in the 2012 draft. Maybe it was the worst move Seattle could make and I definitely went out for a drink but I’m going to maintain some hope for Seattle that we’re just doing something that’s never been done

Plus, he basically single-handedly won most of their games the past few seasons because his defense was bad. You know what you’re getting from him when he is on the field.

Been a hawks fan since the 70’s. This trade is like skip said the steal of the century. Best QB seattles ever had and his status is seriously downplayed because a lot of people don’t like his personality. Too goody goody, teammates have supposedly said “not black enough”, praising God in interviews. You push all that aside and look at what he’s accomplished on the field.
