I’ve had my a6000 for almost 8 years already and seeing this video, I am soooo grateful! I want to explore more of videography yet I still don’t have the means to get a higher end Sony camera just yet 😅 Thank you so much for sharing this and making me realize I haven’t updated my firmware for the longest time already!
It really depends on your budget. With the A6000 line basically all of the sensors perform really similarly from the A6100-A6600. As far as the Canon R50... I don't mess with Canon lol.
It doesn't have built in stabilization if you wanna do video you're better off getting a camera with that built in otherwise use a tripod. Built in mic video audio is not that great. Its great for stills tho it's a really good camera but you sacrifice some nice percs found on sightly more expensive cameras.

I find it helpful to save the settings for video into one of the memory recall slots so I don’t have to set everything up each time I decide to record a video
There is someone about the a6000 that the image looks 👌🏻👌🏻. I own a a6500 and the rolling shutter on 4k is such a disappointment. I rather film in 1080p for moving shots.
Thank you for the great information 🙂 I have had my Sony a6000 for a few years now, and it has mostly just sat and collected dust. I'm finally going to start utilizing it as my main camera for live streaming. This will help greatly, much appreciated. 🙏

Been trying to shoot with my a6000 for talking head, but whenever I shoot in autofocus, the corners of my footage look like they’re shaking. I believe that’s called focus breathing. Have you experienced this? I’m using a Viltrox 20mm f/2.8 as well
Hey appreciate the information! I shoot on the a6400 so I’m sure all of this can apply to my setup as well. Are there any other key settings or tips you can give on the a6000 series/S-log 2?

I have a problem, when i go to change my movie mode the function is greyed out and when I select it it says "This operation or setting not available as follow: shoot mode, manual exposure." Any idea on what this means and how I can fix it?
How do I transfer the clips from my a6000 to my desktop(Mac). The videos either don’t show in none of the folders and if they do, it doesn’t give me an option to download or open to editing software.
In my opinion it is a bad idea to capture videos with 60p in 1/120. Mostly because there is no motion blurr and it looks more stuttering/restless than with 1/60. I made lots of videos that have 60p 1/60 and there was never any problem with it. It looks smooth and way better than 24p for me. I think the rule with double the shutter speed is not practical with 60p and a relict from old days. Did anyone tested these settings and compared it with the a6000? Is there any problem with that?
That means you have the PAL 50i version of this camera. If you look on the bottom of your camera, you’ll see the serial number as well as a tiny little 50i logo on the bottom. Thankfully, you do have the option to switch the camera into NTSC mode navigating into your set up menu. Switch the camera into NTSC and that will give you access to 24, 30, and 60 frames per second shooting.
