Thank you for great presentation. I have been in sleep lab for quite some time now and have to come back to ICU during this Pandemic. This is an excellent refreshement!
I was in sleep for 1.5 years so not too long but needed a refresher as well. One thing he forgot is to hit the humidifier your using whether it be an hme or not
Good evening, looking forward for a recommendation from experts regarding the frequency of device check and also regarding what kind of ventilator tubings and expiratory valves used for the device check . Say for example my ventilator is stand by and not used for one week , waiting for an admission . Do I need to do device check daily ? Can I use a common ventilator tubing , expiratory valve and flow sensor for device check daily for all my standby ventilators . ? Or should I use one circuit (tubing, expiratory valve , flow sensor ) and to complete the deceive check and connect to patient when patient comes ?
Thank you so much. This will really help with my practical next week.

You only have to do the device check once, and you use the tubing ect that you are setting up for the new patient.
