    Summary:
There are 4 major types of deserts:
    • Subtropical: Hot and dry deserts.
    • Semiarid: Mountainous deserts with cold winters.
    • Coastal: Deserts near coastlines formed by cold ocean currents.
    • Polar: Deserts caused by wind and low temperatures (Eg: Antarctica)
    Wildlife:
    • Plants (such as Cacti) are adapted to survive in desert. Their spines protect them from animals and prevent water-loss while their shallow wide roots soak up as much water as possible when it rains.

    • Animals (such as Camels_ are adapted to survive in deserts. Camels long eyelashes protects their eyes from their sun while their hump full of fat allows them to survive without food and water for a very long time.

Just wanted to encourage you to keep going! It is obvious that you put a ton of work into these videos. It was absolutely perfect for my advanced learners. An amazing amount of information and a good starting point for deeper research. You have an interesting format that is accessible for kids without being "dumbed down". You DO go fast, but this is a video format, so pausing to discuss or dig deeper into informational moments is simple. My kids spring boarded off to discussing to what you can learn from looking at a skull / bones of animals about what they were when they were alive along with other topics. Thank you!

      Hi Melissa,
I just wanted to wholeheartedly thank you for the comment. The videos do take a tremendous amount of work but I really enjoy making them and using them in the classroom. It’s a bonus to get some good feedback from others like you.
Yes some are fast paced (this one especially). I think I could have cut it into a few videos. Anyway, thanks again and take care

Of course I'm taking a class where we have to study 3 different climate zones and create a 10 slide, slide show this helps out tremendously

Thanks for including so much information in the information section. Can you also include links to the informational pictures you used too? You fly through in the video (no pun intended) and they look pretty valuable. The alternative is screen shoting them.
What grades do you teach? Public or Private school? Just curious.

      Hi again! 😄
You are very welcome! I’m glad it helps. Ah, I never thought to do that. Do you mean the pictures of the diagrams for each desert? I’ll have to try and find them again 😅
I teach second grade this year. I taught 3rd grade last year. And I am currently teaching in a private school in Qatar but will return to public when I go back to Ireland.

@@MrBradleyLearningMadeFun Yes, the diagram pics. They looked great, for the split seconds they were on screen. Third grade is my absolute favourite grade to teach. Lucky you!
How did you get the international job?

    • @MrBradleyLearningMadeFun
      @MrBradleyLearningMadeFun  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yeah I know. They were up for a very short time. 😂 I try to keep my videos short and concise or people tend to not watch. Oh really! Yes mine too. I am enjoying second grade but have to say that I preferred third grade.
It was quite easy actually. There are many jobs going. I looked up Qatar on TES website and there were many jobs to apply for. Are you considering it? I’d be happy to help/ offer advice!

@@MrBradleyLearningMadeFun I figured that was why you kept them short, but as a teacher, I see those diagrams as the valuable tools they are. My 2 cents, don't use labeled diagrams in a speed edit video they land up teasing and can't teach at that speed. Just do your voice over with illustrations, but what do I know? You really did cram a lot of material in there and kept it concise, it was good. I might use it when we come around to that stuff again.
I am open to exploring teaching somewhere else. America is going hard woke, and I don't do woke, I do education instead of indoctrination. That is out of favour big time in our nation. (Ok, that pun was intended).
I am still overly impressed at your documentary film making skills. Don't be surprised if you don't a call from one of the big guys eventually. Worse things could happen.

@@TheRadioAteMyTV Hey sorry fir the late response. Those are really good points. I’ll consider that fir future thanks!
Ugh not thing worse. LET TEACHERS TEACH! I’m not sure here is the best move then. Some restraints.
Thanks so much! Appreciate the positive vibes a lot!
