Yeah the first 2 arcs is why i watched the movies instead of the anime for Bog and res f. The fights are so much better in the movies, i’d argue for A and maybe S for the movies.
I felt the emotional weight of the Vegeta vs Top fight earned it a much better rating than D. I give it an A personally. Mostly because Vegeta finally gets to take out a major opponent without Goku stealing the glory. He finally got his shine.

Buu vs basil is in D? Legitimately one of my favorite fights in super. Buu showed some of his power for the first time in a long time and it was awesome to see. Rewatching it, it wasn’t quite as flashy as I remember but still an amazing fight. But I do recognize I am putting a lot of stock in it being a really cool and now rare buu moment.
Cell about to step on a fully artificial android that sacrificed himself to try to beat Cell, which causes Gohan to transform in the exact same way as SSJ2. Huh. Where have I seen that before?🤔🤔🤔
Like the Z list, I agree with most of your rankings here too. The ones in Z tier are the ones that I enjoyed the most too. However, I would put Buu vs Basil a little higher, and as silly as Ribrianne vs 18 was, it was quite literally one of the few personal battles of the show where both parties ended up developing significantly. 18 getting a saiyan like power boost after having a flashback of her time with Krillin and Marron is not only important to her character but it's also one of the few times this saga focused on the STAKES of the tournament. 18 was fighting for her family here, and her losing could cause her loved ones to DIE. There was emotional weight there that was absent for most of the saga. Her beating Giant RIbrianne was beutifully animated too, one of the most underrated animation sequences of Super. Thanks to 18 Ribrianne and her crew learned the true meaning of love, while despite everything Ribrianne said about her husband and almost killing her, learned to respect her and her universe, which is big for a character like 18 who's known as the cold ice queen of the series. To me the fight deserves an A tier just for all that.
I have to disagree with Magetta first fight ranking. He was an interesting character with unique physical traits and abilities which I think was showcased well despite the restrictions of that match on Vegeta himself and the rules. There was some actual strategy employed in how to approach fighting this, and I thought it was ok. I think IMO it deserves C/B Rating...
I don’t like super as much anymore as I did when it first came out but you have to at least give the first 2 sagas the benefit of the doubt because they have higher standards being compared to high budget movies so even when they’re bad they come off as 10x worse
If I'm being honest I don't like how much he compares the anime to first dbs movies of course it's not gonna look as good as the movies there both different ways of animation considering the movies use 3d
while I didn't agree with everything early on , around the top fights I definitely found myself agreeing with most of the rankings, and the broly vs gogeta fight assessments align completely with how I viewed that fight as well and its rightful place in Z tier, overall I'd say this is a pretty good tier list

When watching Super one really must watch BOG and RF instead of the episodes. Saves a ton of time and really the Zfighters do look competent again. Against Beerus Tien and 18 get dropped with one hit each and Piccolo takes 2 which, while subtle is probably accurate power scaling, (Goku took 3 hits from Beerus). The RF fight with the soldiers was far superior in the movie, with the exception of power scaling as if Gohan doesn't have his potential unlocked and is relying on Super Saiyan or SS2 he is soft and shouldn't dwarf Piccolo by a huge margin. Piccolo should have been getting some excellent shine against bigger henchmen, then being squashed by freeza and maybe Gohan steps in there. I had hope for Super in spots but was almost constantly let down by the show falling into another Saiyan showcase.
Super was very underwhelming, but I have to give it the boost because Jiren is my favorite villain, the animation was disappointing, super broly REALLY grew up on supers animation, I hope super picks up on the super broly animation, then i would probably pick it back up

I skip the first 2 seasons of Super and go with BOG and RF movies as the fights and story beats are superior. I also feel the RF movie has Piccolo no where near as weak as they make him in the show. The only positive the show has over the movie is the slight boost to Krillin's confidence. That comes with the down side though, of screen time for everyone else is dropped. Seems like the gang vs Frieza force soldiers got more screen time in the movie. Just buy the first 2 movies and then start watching super from the Universe 6 tournament saga.

Pretty much the whole u6 tournament arc is confusing what’s canon or not. But not as bad compared to the black arc, where it is mostly filler, but some things are canon but also there canon things that got cut from the anime, because apparently regular Ssj goku black is canon, but the vegeta using the god to blue technique isn’t canon, but it is canon later when Goku uses it because he also use it in the manga for the universe 6 arc, but he used in the top. Super is a mess of figuring out what’s canon or not that someone needs make fan made retelling that includes the canon stuff from both the manga and anime. BECAUSE ALSO THERE WAS A TRANSLATION IN THE MANGA THAT VAGUELY INDICATES BLUE KAIO KEN ALSO MAKING THAT CANON. There too many things from both manga and anime that aren’t canon both only appear in one of them, and there too many things that are canon from the manga and anime but left out in one and the other for some reason.
I feel like battle of gods should be at least b their cause it’s the beginning of goku entering the era of god chi and learning this new state, the fight had its moments too

Because a sparring match is always gonna rank lower than 99% of real fights. Real fights at least have a more serious tone since these characters are basically trying to kill each other unlike a sparring match that's just short and the stakes are at its lowest. I did a honorable mention for the good sparring matches in the video anyways

I figure I weigh the quality of the fight and the animation much more heavily than the stakes compared to you

All gohan fights are mid fight-wise if we’re being honest gohan vs cell while narratively amazing was pretty boring literally was just gohan squashing cell the beam clash was amazing but the fight itself was B-tier at best goku vs cell was wayyyy better and goku actually loses this time flat out period which was great development.

DBS was ahead of the manga for it's entire run and isn't even adapting the manga but instead interpreting the Toriyama outline

All gohan fights are mid fight-wise if we’re being honest gohan vs cell while narratively amazing was pretty boring literally was just gohan squashing cell the beam clash was amazing but the fight itself was B-tier at best goku vs cell was wayyyy better and goku actually loses this time flat out period which was great development.

Goku vs any of the other saiyans is just bs, my head canon is they are at like 5k power level. Nappa was like 5k and he is a proper fighter, these kids with sticks for arms, no battle xp or knowledge of martial arts shouldnt stand a chance but il give them a benefit and say they are like 5k
