      I think they had the nicest cab at the time and it was the largest. I have a 1996 R52 and it is so nice to run and super easy to do any work on..... except greasing the slip clutch or whatever they call it now at the top of the tailings elevator. It's a pain.

    I have put in a lot of hours on Gleaners. I spent the summer of 1971 on a 1970 Gleaner G. I have a few hours in on a "L" and a lot
    of hours on the N6 & N7. And what a long way they came from the G. It had a 20ft header and 3 speed manual transmission with
    variable speed & the unloading auger did not fold back. One big drawback of the G is that it did not have AC, just an overhead
    blower that blew outside air on you. Over all the 4 G's we ran that summer would good machines and I don't recall any major
    breakdowns for the entire harvest run. For the past several summers I have helped a cousin of mine for several days each
    harvest on a Gleaner R60 with the air cooled engine.

      The G Gleaner was one of the best, so I'm told. They did offer an air conditioner as an option and even before the G an air conditioner was an option.

    • @SilverGleaner
      @SilverGleaner 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gustavorafaelramirez9882 Too bad they don't offer you the Gleaner. They are very simple and take far less power and fuel then axial rotors like the Challenger and Massey. In the US we just found out AGCO will be discontinuing the Massey and replacing it with the Ideal. I believe the Challenger had been discontinued a few years ago. Gleaner is AGCO's number one seller in the United States.

    I wonder why they were still using the name Deutz Allis, once the AGCO corp was formed, I thought Deutz sold them all interest.

    • @SilverGleaner
      @SilverGleaner 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      AGCO bought the logo or leased it for a while and had a deal to use their engines. Not sure on the details though or why they stopped.
      At the time AGCO stood for Allis Gleaner Company but since the European take over of AGCO they claim that was never true and that AGCO always stood for Your Agricultural Company. YAGCO? Hmmm....... But if you look at early AGCO literature it clearly says under AGCO, Allis-Gleaner Company and I have the first Landhandler magazine under AGCO where it says the same.
