Nice stuff for sure. I agree that loosing the intercooler would be beneficial. What kind of boost levels are you predicting, 7-8 lbs? Maybe just running ethanal would keep it cool enough for a street version.
5.3 makes about 11-12# 6.0 makes about 9-11# These are dependant on your build and assuming you're running a belt/idler pulley setup to eliminate belt slip.
@renegadesrt nailed it. Biggest issue with guys trying to use the blower is lack of addressing the belt wrap, but we have something in the works for that as well!
Glad the supercharger might be possible for the ls4, we know the 4t65e is not it though. Is there any more information in the works regarding the secret 6-speed transmission swap?
You can use whatever TB you like. The OE TB is what is used in the Cadillac and it's kinda small anyway. Most people don't have room to keep a bigger TB back there against the firewall anyway so it get's moved around the the side. Either way you'd need a adapter plate which we'll be providing shortly. If you cave room for a air filter you can use whatever you want. If you're installing in a FWD car then you've got plenty of room to do all this
We have a plan for the cooler lid. And currently the top of the blower is 11.75" from the valley cover. About the same as a truck intake with the engine cover on.
Just want to know if this could fit in a ls4 swP in a 88 fiero...Thanks for letting me know, Brandon. This is probably your most interesting product since the moroso oil pan.
Well, since we can set the snout up to work with the LS4 accessory spacing, I don’t see why you could not use this in a Fiero application, if you were willing to modify the rear deck.
Stock 5.3 gets about 550. It's a guess because everyone using it always has headers, cam, etc so numbers are higher. 600 is very easy. Haven't seen one on a bone stock setup yet.
Richard holdener tested one several years ago and it made about 600 HP on a 4.8. He made 650 ish on a 6.0 and the power band dropped significantly after like 4500 RPMs. Belt slip is real.
Yes, as @Jalopy-sm5hk stated, belt slip is a big issue if you don't have enough belt wrap. Richard wasn't using the proper idler and had nowhere near enough. He was also using another company's adapters which, if you look at how they fit and we're designed, may not flow as well as the Fabworkz runners. The other company doesn't make parts anymore, but just out of curiosity I'd love to see a dyno back to back or at least a flow comparison....just nerd data
The Cadillac M122 is the same size as the LSA but the LSA is slightly more efficient due to the updated rotor pack. A complete LSA ready to bolt on is also more $
There is a design drawn up for VERY short adapters where the blower is a little over an inch shorter than a truck manifold. They haven't been produced yet as there hasn't been much demand in the past. Now that some LS4 guys might want this setup I could see maybe making a batch....
Rectangular ports? Unfortunately not. There hasn't been enough demand for it yet to offset the cost of making the adapters. Once you're in the 6.2+ neighborhood this blower is nearing it's capabilities vs heat output. This all depends on your setup of course.
Interesting. Never heard of this swap, seems like a solid blower too. Good work with the conversion plates.
Thanks! It's not the most efficient thing on the shelf but it's a good unit.
A beautiful thing indeed! Good Vid! Here we go!!
I been waiting on something like this for years 🤗
You buy in yet??
Here from the Sloppy post, super interesting!
Thanks for checking it out!!
classy lookin blower
For a classy looking fellar 💅🏻
Let’s gooo 🎉 can’t wait to see one that’s running all the ls4 king products 😂 and the power it puts 😮
Doing the Lord's work!
Kit looks nice good info

Losing the cooler lid I guess you can expect more boost too
it wouldn't take much effort to improve on that intercooler, especially with how talented Brandon is.
@@lifeishard1211 It's already being worked on and should support a theoretical 1k hp. So, on this blower would at least keep the temps way down
Nice work.

Making forward progress. I’ll be sharing all the details once development of a few key components is a little farther along.
Is there a way to put a drive by cable throttle body? And what air filter can you use with it being laocated in the back

What about redesigning those cylindrical cores so the intercooler flows better? Do you also have a height from the valley to the top of the lid?

From what I've seen so far there should be minimal trimming needed to fit. Haven't seen someone actually willing to try yet...
Whats would this kit run with the blower?
Pricewise or power?
Any idea about the horsepower after adding the supercharger??

LS4 KING is going 2 make me g0 ls4 with that blower N get rid of my L67 M90 intercooler setup
Do it. The m90 blower is like stone age technology.
What's it like to run the northstar blower vs an ls9 or lsa blower? I saw a video of an ls4 swapped DeLorean and he put an lsa blower on it.

Can this super charger setup be used on the ls4 if we are using the ls4 in a rear wheel drive application if we are using truck accessories?
Sure can!
@@LS4King is it possible to still find these super chargers
@@TinnonFamilyFarm yup. I have a few in stock ready to ship. Email sales@ls4king.com for a package deal.
Your a genius man😈🤟🏾..I want me one?!
What if I just bought square port heads. Then I wouldn't need the spacers and that would bring the supercharger down a little.
Won’t work. The supercharger uses a port angle and shape never offered on any LS application.

I'm interested for 4th gen. Anything to put on ls3 heads?

It's not likely this would be developed for rectangular port heads because the LSA supercharger is readily available.
Brian tooley racing has a LSA swap kit for rec port heads and costs about 4k depending on options selected.
