Glad you passed the inspection ! It's unfair of them to pick this up as an issue after all it's an old car obviously with some wear. Years ago I had a Jetta and it smoked like crazy. Blue smoke. I pulled the pistons and found the holes behind the oild rings completely blocked. I replaced the rings and cleaned out the holes. I also installed new valve seal while I was in there. Car ran super clean after that.
I was annoyed at that tech in the moment, but it is understandable that nobody would like to be in traffic behind a car that smokes like this, but the funny thing is it wasn't smoking in that particular day. I watched through a window during the inspection, felt like it smoked less than any previous inspection times. felt ridiculous that it could fail. But yeah, I know it needs new psiton rings, valve seals and even crankshaft bearings are knocking. Need to pull myself together and open this engine up and deal with all of that, and make a video. sounds like so much work :D
the smoke is black now. Does it mean that now it's just run to rich of a fuel mixture like diesel engine do? It looks like the additives it did its job.
Yeah, I should mess around with boost pin to lower fuel mixture and black smoke. But i do believe that those valve seals got softer and started sealing better because of the additive
It's the same problem of the D24 Volvo engine. Just limit the amount of Diesel from the pump to the cylinders. The original setting put too much fuel and it can't burn properly and create smokes. There is a screw on the fuel pump to reduce the fuel
I actually have same colour mk1 in here Finland. 1.6 bensin 5-speed ,brown interior -83. nowadays just ridden in summertime. I'm going to put 1.8 20vt with 6-speed from my donor car in it in next winter.
I have three mk2 golfs and I’m usually I’m looking up videos on them but my Corolla is having an issue and now I’m watching a rabbit video what is going on.
Stop revving your engine so often to check for smoke revving any engine in neutral over time will destroy your motor leading to a smokier engine unless you built a higher preformace engine
Nice MK1, keep it on the road 👍
Thanks, will do! Big plans for this summer

I really love black smoke but I really heat blue smoke additive might help little ❤
I don't mind a little black smoke occasionally. but driving and sitting in traffic, seeing and smelling blue smoke is just embarrassing

@@JunkVWs exactly! It seems like you ran too rich all this time, but the white smokes covered the black smokes.
In video looks like white smoke, could be from coolant getting in cylinders 😮
doubt it. no obvious coolant loss

Wouldn’t too much unburnt diesel fuel just create black smoke, not the white stuff?
Nice mk1. Love them !
Same here!
I wanna smell this smoke best smell ever
😂

originally this was a Surinam red LA3Y 1.5 petrol automatic car. not much left from that now.
Good winter project
nice videos man
Appreciate it
Very nice!
😉
Nice 😊
Get rid of all the oil inside engine and use only this additive, there won't be any smoke ever ❤😆
............
How 😢
And the car won’t run Ever again
This golf has catalyst converter? Ps: nice golf😊
thanks. no catalytic converter here

😂
I can smell it all the way over here 😂
I don't envy anyone behind me on the road. embarrassing really :D
First close down the fuel on you pump, second bring the injectors for a rebuild and you will see the change :)
still confused why light smoke means fuel? and i did see a change already
but i will rebuild the pump and injectors :)
Its black smoke you moriin means fuel @@JunkVWs
Using a thicker oil
Tried it, didn’t help as much as this stuff
I believe you need to drive 1000 km after puttingvthat product then u'll need to change oil filter
good info
Bro its like £200 to fix it
more than i paid for my last mk1 :D

you call that revving? that's nothing
Euro8
😂
HAHAHA 💨💨💨💨💨🤣🤣
😂
Oil looked like tar..
Welcome to diesel life
My mazda use this product, oil sludge happened
oil change is coming up. will look for sludge
I have a mangina
Stop revving the engine, therefore you wont have excess smoke coming out on high rpm’s 😄🤌
makes sense 😄
