      @Thien Huynh If the person is physically unable to speak, they are excused, obviously. Allah doesn't burden a soul with more than it can handle. However, for an unexcused person, recitation of the Quran is fardh. If you miss a fardh, your prayer is void. Rasulallah (saw) recited in his prayer, and he said to pray like him. We are supposed to pray in the best way. You are standing in front of Allah. How hard is it really to just recite? You wouldn't exert a little hardship to gain so much more reward? You're standing in front of Allah for a few minutes a day. Can't you do it in the best way? What is the purpose of prayer? To remember Allah. It's for our own benefit at the end of the day.
      Just start trying. Allah sees your efforts, and he never let's them go to waste.

    Not only moving the lips. In shafii madzhab that I learned, we should at least hear what we recite by ourselves for the prayers to be considered as valid, if the man beside us can hear too, it's okay, but if the man after the man beside us can hear as well, it's considered makruh. That means we are too loud reciting it.

    And we know that Rasoolullaah Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam *moved his lips when reciting in both the audible and inaudible Salaah, the audible needs no explanation as you cannot recite for people to hear you if you are not moving your lips* ...
    As for the inaudible, then one of the Sahaabah `Radhiallaahu `Anhum narrates it 👇
    Narrated Abu Ma`mar:
    I asked Khabbab whether the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite the Qur'an in the Zuhr and the `Asr prayers. *He replied in the affirmative. We said, "How did you come to know that?" He said, "From the movement of his beard* Sahih al-Bukhari 760

      Assalamu Alaikum, this advice is from a reverted Muslim.
      Firstly, make sincere repentence. As you told you don't know how to pray Salah, I advice you to repent just while sitting but do a proper ghusl before that. Ask Allah for forgiveness and keep in your mind that Allah's mercy is way more bigger than our sins, so if we repent sincerely, Allah will forgive us In sha Allah, ask forgiveness everyday as much as you can.
      Now let me tell you about my experience and I think other reverted Muslims might have done that. When I became a Muslim I didn't know how to pray Salah, I did not know how to read Quran, but we have Google and TH-cam right? I learnt from youtube.
      Firstly make notes about the steps of Salah, like how to start Salah, how to pray and how to end it. ( Make notes for all the five prayers ). Then memorize atleast two Surahs ( Surah Fatiha and Surah Ikhlas ) and repeat these surahs in every salah and every obligatory rakaats.

    • @Yuvvii
      @Yuvvii ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also, do it while looking at your notes. Like, I used to keep my laptop in front of me and I used to pray Salah while looking at my notes, it took me almost 1-2 months to memorize Alhamdulillah. And remember, when you really want to change yourself as per Islam, Allah will help you.
      Also, if reverted Muslims can learn all that, you can do it more easily because you come from a Muslim family.

      It's mentioned in hadith, but use your aqal. Recitation is fardh and wajib (some is fardh, some is wajib. Ex: reciting Quran is fardh and surah fatiha in each rakat is wajib). There is no recitation if your tongue has not moved. It doesn't say "thinking of the Quran." It says recitation. Arabic word is qira'at.
