Beautiful work!! So glad i was able to find you over here. We love the outdoors as well! I need to get back to fishing. Havent been able to bow hunt since i tore up my shoulder a few years back. One day though!! My wife says she thinks the wood is pecan. Keep up the amazing work bud!! Jon
Thank you so much for the kind words my friend. I hope you shoulder will heal up as well. I love my bow hunting, every since I was a kid and to be honest, that is truly the one vacation I look forward to most, besides the times I have to go see the girls, those will always be better, but as far as hobby related vacations, I Love to be in the woods before the sun comes up and watch the woods come alive, nothing makes me feel closer to nature than that. Tell you wife, I have her entered for the drawing. and her guess is a good one, not correct, but still fun to play and she does get an entry for guessing. Thank you both and I hope you both have a blessed weekend. Dale
Excellent guess my friend. It gets you an additional entry to win and thanks for playing along. (it's not birch though) .This one will be a hard guess, because most folks do not mill this wood up anymore. Many years ago, our grandfathers would use this wood for furniture, it is knows to twist badly after milling which is why no-one mills it anymore. Thanks again and have a blessed week my friends. Dale
Hahaha! Before you even mentioned guessing the wood I was thinking that is some beautiful spalted Maple at least that’s what it looks like to me. What a great looking fly tying station Dale. Nice job ! #Wood, #FlyTyingStation
It is spalted Just not maple. Sir you are entered. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I think this will make a fine fly tying station for someone soon. Thanks again for the kind words and I hope you have a blessed weekend. Dale.

Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment my friend, we have your entries for this drawing entered into the system. I will say this, the guess on the wood type does count, however it is not correct, I only say this for others who may be guessing as well, and I want them to be able to eliminate that one. I will give another hint, it is a common tree that grows in the piney woods of East Texas and other parts of the country. It did come off my property here. Thanks again and I hope you have a blessed week my friend. Dale
Would you like 5 more chances to win, make a video sharing this video, and we will give you 5 more entries to win. Good luck everyone.

May i ask......where did you get your router stencil for the rounds and rectangles?
Most defiantly. I made them out of plexiglas with a laser cutter. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope this helps.
