I think the Prime spec is one of the best basic high efficiency Freightliner setups I've seen. The only thing I think I'd want to change externally is maybe adding the rest of the AeroX drive axle fairings and going with the Daimler ParkSmart EPU instead of the TriPac diesel generator.
All they ever have is a down sped motor to either 400-455hp and they need to add a option on prime trucks especially when you pass them they have their fog lights on with no fog and when those aren't on their high beams usually so when go to pass one and they don't dim them down the truck will sense it and dim them for them because they never have cbs to say hey dim ya high beams
Wow Freightliner rep knocks it out of the park. Very professional and sounds knowledgeable and well put together. Sorry Pete reps he did 10x better then you guys did ❤

@Tranard Charles the side assist feature came in the middle of the model year so it is possible that your truck was earlier enough in the year it didn't receive one.
We have started installing them on all of our 2024 trucks. You can check out this video for more information on it! th-cam.com/video/7kp1rxhXVu4/w-d-xo.html
Not to mention that disk brake pads are MUCH easier to replace than brake shoes on drum brakes. I know first hand from replacing linings on both types of brakes.
It was a cost and supply chain issue at the time. We had trouble getting rear disk brakes over the road and it was more cost-effective for the operator to not get disk brakes all the way around.
@user-fl7pw3vl3t it's cool but if u get the option all gauges are on radio and speedometer. U are able to control all the lights on radio it also have android and Apple car play. It connects to ur phone pretty quickly plus u can have the radio on without touching the key
Super Singles suck. Side skirts block maintenance and they are a fire hazard. An AM radio is a safety item. Buttons don't belong on the steering spokes. A Chest freezer shelf would help. Nice Freightliner.

As of January 1 2024 the fmcsa is passing a new law over the road carriers are requiring to put drivers in motels due to safety and not sleeping well in vehicle
Hello Chad. Thank you for wanting to keep us in the loop but it looks like this is not correct. No new law is being passed with the FMCSA regarding this.
Yeah you leaving out the face facing cameras being installed in those trucks for Prime. I would say good luck keeping drivers but it'll take care of itself eventually. They think they need lease drivers now. Prime will be just like Swift in less than a year.😂
Hi! We are looking into the technology no decision has been made yet. The only decision that has been made is that we are getting outward facing (aka a dahs cam).

For our company driver you typically get to choose between what is available at the time.
Nice rig 👍👍
It sure is!
My 2024 freightliner doesn’t have the side assist feature on the exterior.
@Tranard Charles the side assist feature came in the middle of the model year so it is possible that your truck was earlier enough in the year it didn't receive one.
What about the front suspension? 🤔
This truck would be perfect for towing a Luxe fifth wheel.
Is there a pull out desk for a laptop ?
Yes, it is located under the large storage compartment behind the driver's seat. At 7:22 you can see the pull out in between the two compartments.
Prime had put it in their magazine last year that they were maybe working on solar power.. wonder what’s up with that?
We have started installing them on all of our 2024 trucks. You can check out this video for more information on it! th-cam.com/video/7kp1rxhXVu4/w-d-xo.html
Why would they not go with disk brakes all the way around? less weight and better stopping power

Hi! Can you please email un at communications@primeinc.com so we can get some more information.
What about the smart start option that gets rid of the apu need?
Prime tested them on a few trucks and the smart option did not work for our operation.

@@sweetintegrityfulIf you have never been overweight due to the apu, weight is not an issue.
Can we please get a tour of the Volvos?
Volvo's have a higher maintenance cost, repair cost, break down rate, and lower resale numbers than Freightliners, so most fleets shy away from them.

Best two trucks I've ever been in. 2015 Pete ( with Prime) and 2003 Freightliner Columbia.
Still would take an older Volvo any time of the year
I'd take a new one spec'd with a Cummins performance 605HP and an Eaton 18 auto.
nice truck but would like sunvisor and proper size engine
I had two Volvos with Prime. I regret the first one since it was EXPENSIVE to repair/fix. The second one was too big for one person.
One would think the warranty would be the first question, the most important question.
Why have music playing while you’re talking? It’s irritating and distracting
Thanks for the feedback! We will keep that in mind for future videos.
