43:07 -- I've talked about this theoretically, but I'm not sure I've seen it before. Top set of queens is the worst hand you can have in hold 'em (or omaha) while still holding the absolute nuts. It's THE worst nut hand. (The key is the queen-high board with no straights possible. You can't put five cards out with Jack high without the nuts being better than trips, i.e., a straight or quads.)
Omaha is such a sick game. Turning hands like 51:35 into a bluff otr: Is it genious or over-ambitious? Any pros here? I mean I love that he blocks the nutstraight, and also his queen blocks other boats or even quads... Still, should you turn this into a bluff I wonder.. Without him holding the nut-flushdraw cards, I think this play might be great, withhim blocking his opponent's high-flush-bluffs may make this borderline at best. Not much of a PLO player, any thoughts from pros?
These top trips on straight boards are deceptively higher EV as bluffraises than calls as you're really just bluffcatching at this point as berri shouldn't have worse for value. So because you have best blocker to value (Q, and to a much lesser degree 8), and would be bluffcatching if calling (which is already gonna be low EV, you're left with a situation where raise is likely better than call. You make straights fold if they tripled, and 44/77 can triple and fold sometimes because then the 44/77 are only bluffcatchers vs a raise. (especially if the straight lacks a pair blocker) Sincerely, a 500-2kplo clown
@@edwardhalmarack7122 No he only gets a call from a j high straight, qj nut straight and maybe someone that plays the board. Not only from someone that plays the board. Also he is probably trying to push berri of a j high straight, but even that he was never folding so absolute donky move by LLinus
the 33:40 hand 772 flop x/r by Llinus and then x/c turn x/push the pot bet of Berri is INSANE. I think the linus range of x/r x/c turn is capped but it seems its not or he made an insane bluff I really need some imputs on this hand.
He blocks the straight and the front door flush bricks out. That's one of the best sevens he can call with. He has very few queens in that spot like QJhh and KQhh (which might x/r flop) and club ones that just calls (because it has too much equity too raise). If he doesnt call with 75 he is over folding. I'm sure a solver is mixing between calling and folding there. Linus can be barrelling with worse hands but tbh I dont know what worse hands. Probably hands that have some backdoor draws and some mixed flush draws.
Very well played actually. It puts berry in a very though spot with his Jx combinaisons. Moreover LLinus is the one who has the most QJ combos in his range. I think there is some chance Berry actually has to fold some Jx combos against such an overbet.
@@imalwaysbluffing i agree but what makes a good poker player and a great poker player diffrent is knowing when to fold when you know your hand is no good but giving these circumstances with these hands the variance is gonna make you swing heavily
@@GummingPlobe That´s not for value, for sure. The Q of hearts is a good card to bluff a river of hearts. He just has to chose some hands to bluff with in every spot when he´s playing against a good oponent. Maybe if the river wasn´t heart, he wouldn´t have shoved. Ofcourse your logic is right, He could have been ahead untill the river and would also make sense to check the river but since the river is a heart he has to have some bluffs to mix in with the times when he actually has a flush. This is a guy who has spent a lot of time studying the solvers and this is probably aproved by PIO but I don´t know
Hahaha i understand leveling and yes some interesting betsizes etc but also lot of totaaaal donky moves 02:06 i mean yes berri might be river check raising with only a J and he might be folding to a 4 bet shove (probably not cause berry seems a callign station) and then u 4 bet allin and get snap called for 55k more with the nuts. LLinus absolute donkmove eeehaahhh
gto only works in a vacuum. HUNL is about exploiting your opponent's tendencies, so playing GTO is actually suboptimal. all in all, your comment is stupid.
How do you have such an unwarranted ego? These are showdown hands only, you would be folding 80% of the time against Berry, meaning he would run you over. These two have played over 100,00k hands against each other over the years. Just because you can't understand strategy doesn't mean there is none 😅
you're doing the lords work showing the hole cards for us

@@proudboysusa4861 yeah, they don't hesitate to put it all in so it's next to impossible to make the opponent fold

I used to discuss poker with Linus when he played micros. Little did any of us know where he would end up. So fucking sick lol
These guys are just sick. BERRI SWEET + his avatar picture is so hilarious . It seems like they only play against each other nowadays

1:50 what a sick hand
the way the hand was played , i guess Linus thinks berri never has JQ
wp by berri
he only gets value from a call playing the board so im not sure if its even a good 3 bet with the j high straight interesting spot.
Guys, Berry plays the hand alright, Linuss is jus tplaying like a complete trying to get a calling station of a j split pot? terrible.

Lol the runner runner straight flush vs the flopped full house in the Omaha
Why did he check @ 0:25? Prefer shuv brick rivers instead? Villains to many flushes that run out?
The floats are insane
