Pretty sure I was hyperventilating through at least 2 minutes before I recovered somewhat. I think furniture flippers understand woods somewhat as far as tannins and bleeding and hard vs soft... but not so much the frustration of watching proper antiques being ruined or endangered or high end woods being painted out. Gorgeous, but I wish there was more compassion for the fact that this is a trend, and you can't unruin a painted piece. Not every flipper turns out pieces like this. This video is going to inspire hundreds of ruined pieces of furniture. ALL I WANT IS FOR THE VIDEO MAKER TO EDUCATE THEIR AUDIENCES ABOUT THE OPTIONS. There are so many. Reproductions OR finding truly destroyed pieces that can't be restored.
This is gorgeous! Oh man. I'm doing my daughters dresser. It was my grandmothers ❤ antique 2 piece dresser from the 50s! I am so glad i watched this. Now I'm going to gold the edges! It has a scalloped edge on either side of the top piece and the shelving. Ok I'll post a video on it lol
This is another one of my favorites that metallic paint mixed in with a glass Bead gel ,oh my God!!! It takes my breath away makes me want to have a young preteen to put it in her bedroom!

I dabble with furniture painting and I must try this…a challenge from the bead stenciling to the tonal paint work and the gold. Beautiful. I notice when you used spray wax, you were careful to not rub the raised stencil. Is it that delicate? Over time and with use will the raise stencil flake off? Just need to know.

I have done this on a box but I used caulk. It turned out great. And caulk can be mixed with paint, too.

No its not delicate at all. This bead Gel dries extremely hard!
