When Lou Benfatti & Tyoka Jackson hugged ( @20:10) that brought a tear to my eye. These two classmates played lights out and at times flat dominated their opponents. Between these two there are 71 starts, loads of hard hits, tackles for loss, sacks, interceptions, fumbles caused and recovered.....#97 and #55 are Nittany Lion Legends!
Man those Paterno Penn State teams were far more competitive against other ranked opponents than James Franklin. Joe Pa had that killer instinct which translated well to his team !!
Someone pointed this out somewhere on the interwebs, is whenever it is Rainy/overcast weather in a bowl game Penn St is playing they most likely win the game.
Was at this game! Didn’t think much of PSU’s chances heading into it and it didn’t look good early on, but man did PSU turn it on right before halftime.
Just look at how many post season games PSU had to play with a wet sloppy field!to start the game. Shame on the ground crew at all these venues. Field condition should not determine a game especially if it is preventable, even if both teams have to deal with it. The NCAA should have demanded better. But of course they didn’t/don’t.
Heath Schuler was supposed to be the next great NFL QB, he was drafted by the Redskins and held out for more money. But he was a Bust and by 1996 he was gone. He then went into politics.

This is when football was football, when sportsmanship and class still existed
Just a preview for the 94 offense and what an offense it became!!!
Just another game against Tennessee that looked hopeless, until it wasn’t.

For the life of me I have no idea what NFL scouts saw in Heath Shuler.

LOVE GARNER!!!
Garner was amazing. He, like everyone else, would have had a much better game had the field not been awful.
Chuck could really shift gears, stop, start, cut and accelerate.
Always liked Garner's Game...
Why the hell wasn't the field covered before it rained ?

Politics in its entirety is a bust....looks like Shuler is just Bust!
Imagine what an offense can do with a FB.....aahhh.
