Accessory of the week - Suck Pads (Strap protectors).

Babies love chewing straps. It offers teething releif and its just a great way of sensory processing and calming while taking in all the sights, sounds and smells around them as you walk, talk and explore together. And to be fair all well made carriers have been made with this in mind - made from tested baby safe dyes so it really isn't harmful for little one to chew on their carrier. But it does add to wear and tear - both from the chewing and the drool and from the extra washing that comes with the territory!
Suck Pads are a super easy solution! I started out making these to protect sling library carriers and now I sell them too after so many requests! Made from 2 layers of absorbant fabric (either 2 layers of bamboo towelling or 1 layer of bamboo towelling combined with 1 layer of woven wrap fabric), these will fit ANY carrier with straps (tested on 100's of carriers in my library) attaching with a simple velcro fastening. Meaning you can easily slip them on and off and wash over and over again without having to constantly wash your carrier. And they are fully reversable so if baby has already drooled all over one side and you don't have time to wash you can just flip them over for a fresh, dry side!
