Amazing mountain, the terrain is incomparable, I've skied it for over a decade, and Alterra is slowly and steadily ruining it: including their proposed water park in the parking lot.
Still holding on to that late 90's lore. Long lines, slow chairs and short runs. Now throw in all the $$$$$ gappers from the bay. There is like 10 acres on the entire mountain that is worth it and it's maybe 500' vertical. When its open. KT-really. Weather hold and maybe 1000' vertical, they say 2000' but there's no way. Keep dreaming of those good old days. Almost as bad as Alta. Stay true. Build that waterpark. LMAO!!!!
Yeah, I used to fight forest fires in summer, then go up to Tahoe in November and easily find a cheap place to live for the winter. That was 80's- early 90's.
@@Localsonly420 The racists are the one who thinks "Squaw" is offensive. you can talk to the Indian tribes, it means female and is not offensive. can you point to one time in literature where the term squaw was used as a derogatory term towards Native American women? if the word is offensive, why was it never use an offensive manner in any literary works? @@robertboarding9095 the part about the best lifts at Mammoth, which is subjective, or the part about KT spinning when the upper mountain is on wind hold? I think the best lifts at Mammoth are 22, 23, and the upper gondola- all very vulnerable to wind holds, just like Headwall and Summit at Palisades. KT and Red Dog generally run even on windy days and provide superior terrain to all the lower lifts at Mammoth, at least if you like steep terrain.
LMAO the ironed on Palisades patch over the SVAM embroidery @0:49
Such a legendary place they changed the name.
Oh you mean Squaw Valley?
Luv Squaw Valley. Been skiing there since I was 8 yrs old 👍
This feels like a name change campaign.
Looks a lot like Squaw Valley USA
🤔
idk if ur joking but it is, they just changed the name.

Very nice compilation to justify skiing Palisade’s Tahoe. Sweet deep forgiving powder and flying like a bird with a destination. Beautiful. Thanks.

The hate in these comments is crazy. Just be stoked and positive about skiing or don’t comment. Real skiers don’t hate like this.
