I have the older Reloop hub stand and upgraded to the Odyssey Smart Laptop Stand for the ports. But this might replace that if its as light as you say it is. Great job on putting that info out.
Hagibis, Cabletime and Blueendless make similar stand hubs for iPad users. I use a magnetic ipad stand and have a fledging hubble case attached for the additional ports. Keeps things tidy.
One port it hasn’t got, and it’s difficult finding a hub nowadays that has one (probably because of the small number of use cases) is the old 3.5mm audio jack. If you’re using this with a modern iPad where you need to take the audio from the device, split it etc you’ll need a separate dongle. I can’t see the port making a return to ins though, like I say, small number of use cases.
You could plug a USB-C-to-3.5mm TRRS into one of this unit's USB-Cs though once your iPad was plugged in to achieve that, which would look pretty neat. Not sure they designed this at all for iPad though.
@@digitaldjtipsgood shout, hadn’t thought of that. I was looking at a USB C power/3.5mm split dongle into the iPad 1st. Their official images show it in use with iPad but most gear has got the audio out for headphones, very few don’t
See the sincere enthusiasm for a well designed product that serves a purpose? That's how little we really care about groundbreaking stem groove circuits shenanigans at the end of the day.
handy for a controller+iPad setup as well, gives you all the extensions you might need - usb disk, usb sound card (my RME babyface pro fs), ethernet...
IMO it really should have at least 3 USB-A ports... but ideally 5. The main use case I see for this in the club is for DJs and venues that want to use decks and a mixer with their laptop in HID mode... but having to rely on currently uncommon B to C cables to do that is not ideal. Seems like a higher priority to me than SD cards >>
Nice idea but the cable management is a sloppy mess. They should put the hub of connections at the base and have a hollow channel up the main tube with a USBC jumper to the laptop for connectivity. Fix that and it’s a keeper.
Looks great. Inhave the crane which I retired to my home when I purchased the Magma stand which was lighter and more compact. But a little more fiddly. Be interesting to see weight comparison and size when folded compared to magma. Give it a run to see how portable it is
That is one of the craziest things I’ve seen in DJ stands…no idea what sense this makes vs a tight/flexible cable/hub setup 😂 but im all forma for effort…🧮 I did love the crane stand, was sad to seem them go…still have a few on the studio…nice follow up review…stay curious 🖤🤙🏽🔊
Very nice although there are several laptop/ipad stands on Amazon that have hubs integrated into them in some form or another in various different prices.
Odyssey make a stand hub but I think it’s more like Reloop’s original one. I have the original Reloop original and always thought it lacked the sturdiness I wanted. I may invest in the new one though for all the improvements
Can’t help thinking that this has a significant price hike by branding it as DJ gear. It looks like something I’d find really useful for my WFH setup, just not for that price.
Very nice actually... but it's not new... there a many other laptop stands out they with built in hubs... this does offer a very rich variety of ports... I'd get one just for my work laptop.
The USB hub in my Reloop Stand Hub broke shortly after 2 years :( And the stand was always a tiny bit crooked, it would wobble a bit around. Had to add a bit more padding under one feet to fix that. Shite quality.
I always find it funny that people see all the these plugs and don’t understand how they work, is it a thunderbolt three or four? How many watts is the input and output, do the USB have power too for like the Phase units and so on. I wish these companies would stop trying to make an item that is for everyone and just make a pro unit that is actually pro and sell it! Sure not everyone will buy it, but if you make a great product that is worth it and will last, you’ll gain a few high quality of customer!

We need USB-C PD on all DJ devices moving forward. Game changer on the Reloop Flux.
Good point!
Yes I’m going to pick this up real soon!!!
I have the older Reloop hub stand and upgraded to the Odyssey Smart Laptop Stand for the ports. But this might replace that if its as light as you say it is. Great job on putting that info out.
Yeah, the older one was good, but this is the new way to do it.
I bought in December and I love it. 🥰👍🔥
Me to 🙂
Reelop Always Come With Better Version ✌️
Got mine late December, Love it :-)
Great to hear!

This looks sweet. I'm probably upgrading to the Reloop Mixon 8 Pro this week; and this seems like a great add-on accessory for my set-up!
Yeah, that makes sense. The Mixon is a killer unit.

A laptop stand that also doubles as a docking station. Nice.
It is, right?!
Great comments about USB charging power etc. I was under the impression this was as some say plug-n-play done deal.
Watching in Grenada in the Caribbean

Not everyone has to love everything :)
Hello Phil. Will the the Denon Prime go recognize the USB hub if we plug a USB stick in there?
Don't see why not, it's just a powered USB hub.
@digitaldjtips cheers phil
handy for a controller+iPad setup as well, gives you all the extensions you might need - usb disk, usb sound card (my RME babyface pro fs), ethernet...
Would be interested in how a Prime GO would look like on the stand. Would it be atable enough to perform on it?
Excellent
Great! What stands do you use for your cdj’s in the back ?
A company called DJStandz out of the UK.
Does it slide under your controller?
Génial merci
How thin is the base plate? can it slide under a controller?
Yes, much more so than the old one could.
IMO it really should have at least 3 USB-A ports... but ideally 5. The old one had 4, I guess they think they're on the way out. Those cables you mention are the answer though, Amazon is the place
Nice idea but the cable management is a sloppy mess. They should put the hub of connections at the base and have a hollow channel up the main tube with a USBC jumper to the laptop for connectivity. Fix that and it’s a keeper.
not sure that'd be a "fix" - too fiddly for setting up in clubs etc.
Price ?
All pricing is in the written review
Freaking awesome
1:42 so far so good….waiting for one feature for you to cover and then its an insta-buy! 😂

I'm gonna guess lighter. It's tiny when folded, too

We're loving it here in our studio
Very nice although there are several laptop/ipad stands on Amazon that have hubs integrated into them in some form or another in various different prices.
Thanks for the heads up!
The only thing missing is a built-in fan for the laptop.

Thanks for sharing Leigh.

Not sure why that would be the case, also I don't think they massively brand it as DJ gear, although obviously we're going to review it as such
nice
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I've never seen one! thanks for the info.

Shite quality.
Never had any problem with our 1st gen, and this one is certainly well made by all appearances.

All the specs are on their site.
The original wouldn't charge my 16 Inch MacBook Pro. 😢 Does this one have enough juice? 🤷🏻♂️
Best to check the specs on their site.
I don't like the built-in USB hub because tec evolves and it might fail.
