That was a very strange snack from the UK - I am English and have never even heard of it! A much more British snack would have been buttery shortbread, chocolate digestive biscuits or salted caramel oatcakes, all delicious and all very British. I had a cool idea for the candy you didn't like, you could wet some paper and spread them on it, then the colour from the candy would go on the paper making a background paper for your journal made from candy pollen. (The little things that bees collect pollen 😊), love your creativity and it is always fun to watch you trying the sweeties!
