we buy from japan and take delivery in Dubai, because dubai customs is 10 Percent. (vat plus duty) .

Import tariffs make dealing with foreigners much cheaper than dealing with the merchants here in the states. Import taxes kill the market in America.

Got a Submariner in Italy at an AD in 2018, Paid 21% tax on the watch an received tax back, minus commission fees. Basically paid less than retail.

What I've noticed is that prices in Japan are quite a bit lower than in Europe. I'm guessing this revolves around the fact that no matter what country you order from you'll have to pay taxes. Should make a trip with my family and buy a Rolex each then sell them here . It would at least pay for a free vacation in Tokyo 😁

Also depends on certain models, some models are more in demand than others so prices might be higher.0

Buying watch overseas comes with currency 💴 exchange rates, local taxes, shipping costs, insurance. Also it’s important to buy only from listed dealers who’ve a good 👍 review & reputation. Buying from some countries are not healthy. Also it’s important to know the condition of the watch, with/ without box 📦 & papers.
