I love what you said at the end, don't just junk it. We are wasteful these days more than ever because things are definitely made "differently". I've collected so many small engine tools like this from people and our local transfer stations, fixed them up and given them to people that needed them free of charge. So many times the fixes were super easy. I did keep a log splitter for myself though that I found....oh, and a power washer. I'm still looking for a nice chipper fixer upper too. Apparently those are hard to come by. Excellent job Small Engine DIY!

I've cleaned more Honda carburetors than anything , my trouble at first when working them was everything has to go back exactly the way it came off . Videos helped me in the tough times . Thanks good video .

Very common problem on the front wheel drive mowers. Only seen one RWD with a bad bearing.

Very interesting, thank you. I notice that the choke lever starts to move after you have set it but before you start the engine. It sort of moves by itself. Why does it do that?

I was going to Rochester NY today and I found the very same mower that someone put a free sign on when I got it home I put some gas in it and it run perfectly on the first pull the problem is the right front wheel is loose just like this one. It looks pretty straight forward thanks for sharing this with us.

What about the emulsion tube that is behind the jet that you took out. The emulsion yube has many fine holes that need yo be cleaned out. Then there is another screw that gets removed so you can access and clean out the idle circuit in the carb.?

Hi I just wanted to say great video I have the exact same issue with my lawn mower but it's rear wheel drive now i can get mine repaired but i wasn't sure on the bearing, I know it's hard to find this part for some reason not sure why tho.

Nice video. Couple of things; if you pull on the starting rope till it sticks the cylinder will be at top dead center and you can tip it over without oil spilling into the cylinder.. Also I've watched many DIY lawn mower repairs vids and nobody seem to take the time to clean the motor of all the accumulated dirt and grime. Rust Blaster and carb cleaner are a mower's best friend. Subscribed.

Finally got my parts in. Waited 2 months waiting for "Select parts" to send them to me, which they never arrived.. Canceled the order and ordered from Amazon. Just waiting on wheel shroud covers. They should be in tomorrow. That jaw clamp made things a lot easier to replace wheel brackets. Well constructed video.

Informative video. Before installing the wheel I clean the axel with brake cleaner and a scotchbrite pad. You can then use a dry silicone lube or grease on the axel. Not only prevents rust but the wheels will spin much better.

Thanks ..this video helped me out..when i go garbage pickin i run across these mowers a lot ..usually very little wrong bad gas ..fouled plug .dirty filter if i cant fix em i part them out for parts like that bushing 😁
