At this point every dvj video is gonna be called post nerf 😭
Completely undeserved nerf of ff2.
It was a general nerf for all the demon paws, but devil jin had the worst range out of them all its crazy
devs really ditched their dvj homework and gonna leave him like this for months...
you'll get up back tho
why do you go with laser-scraper instead of cd1+2 after heat engager? Even if the first two land the 3rd hit of laser-scraper isn't guaranteed right?
Laser scraper is faster and can be used to pressure. It’s basically safer.
Laser scraper first 2 hits are natural combo, 3rd hit is not. It’s quicker than cd1+2 as the other person said and at lower levels the third hit can be a knowledge check against players who press after the first two hits
man do i hate Paul i just cant play against him
Would you say that Devil Jin is a bad character overall at this point and is all the hate noise true that he is low tier?
Well it depends where you are in the game rank. DJ has strong gimmicks that can carry you in lower rank ( b3 against masher and throw game abusing with u1 + frames for exemple) but that’s all. To be honest this character still play tekken 7 , considering this new patch , a great DJ player with amazing mouvements , wavedash pressure and crazy execution will alway be dangerous
@@nicolasdosch4010 I agree actually. The gimmicks do help but eventually the electrics and movement will have to be the main component to his game. Makes sense why Qudans doesn’t use the new moves as often as many other Devil Jin players do and why he still uses wave dash pressure and pokes like in the old games. Momodog is the only Devil Jin player that can somewhat do both playstyles but until he enters a tournament we can’t see if his playstyle is viable for professional play.
@@llIZeroIIl interesting point of view , by the way i think we should take in consideration the state of DVJ in this new patch. If the purpose of this 1.05 is to reward movement and all fondamentals components i guess he has maybe more opportunity to shine than in the previous patch that most of the scrub tech can catch anyone …
I mean , if DVJ is a legacy character, even if he is not a high tier if the game go back to something more fondamental it might has some chance ? Let’s see how things are evolving, nevermind i’ll never drop my devil bird ! 🙏❤️

I main Devil Jin, he’s definitely the weakest Mishima but I think it’s too far of a stretch to call him low tier, I think at best he’s still A tier, at worst maybe B. The mishimas are always above average characcters, they only were weak in tekken 6
IMO he still has the best 12 frame punish, b12 is great. And in terms of legacy Mishima, kazuya and DJ. Devil Jin has an easy launcher at -15, kazuya at least now has his old tekken 7 style punish for -15.
Ws44 is also amazing, +4 and they recover crouching.
His biggest flaw imo is the fact that he’s so reliant on his hellsweep to win matches that he’s basically forced to use it to win
bruv what happened to your rank ?
let the man rest man, dvj got nerfed again

Devil Jin is pretty tough to keep afloat in the higher ranks. Contrary to popular hate, he is very hard to start anything meaningful in terms of pressure without gigantic risks. Really good players can block the hell sweep pretty consistently and are cognizant of potential electric whiff punishes. What’s there to fear if you can just sidestep most of his other moves too.
@@llIZeroIIl at this point to win with devil jin is to 100% spam gimmicks (before it's 60% to 70%)
he has no poke, bad mids, high risk no reward hellsweep, but hey he still have his trusty old electrics 🤣
as a tekken noob i switched to kazuya for now after reaching garyu with dvj for a change
Its 1.05 Bro.. Dont know if you can change the title 🙂
He means the video was recorded before the patch, in other words this match was recorded before the game was patched
@@nathanielisaacs2816 ohhh okay. makes sence.. 😅
