That’s Bill Ward on drums. One of the best. Keep going brother because they have so much to show you. Sabbath is still getting fans with 50 year old music.
They recorded this album live in the studio in 2-3 days. That’s why it feels so raw and real. They played shows nonstop and honed their skills. Bill Ward is a jazz drummer and in my opinion jazz drummers are the best. Everyone in this band was the correct piece for the puzzle.
Children of the Grave, released the year I was born -and my reaction was in the womb with headphones on mom's belly - is my FAVORITE Sabbath Tune (which I heard live on The End tour)! 1st time I got high with my oldest kid (he was 17).
The song is the story of a returning Viet Nam vet getting strung out and paying with his life. At least, that's what I hear. A classic cautionary tale. Every member of Black Sabbath are masters of their crafts. On the day the first self-titled album dropped, heavy metal was born.
Nothing sounds quite like Black Sabbath, and yet, almost everything in the Heavy Metal genre draws some influence from this iconic band.
One of the most innovative bands of the last 70 years. It's raw, it's honest and it is so good.

"Fairies Wear Boots" off the same album is the real banger.

Bill Ward is the drummer - he is the pioneer of the Hip Hop Beat - it’s right here.
Bill Ward is a beast, Bonham can have 2nd place, peart third and Baker who?
I wish I liked Zeppelin enough to make it through a song so I could appreciate Bonham.
I knew you would like this, that is why I recommended it a few days ago. See my list below, they are all like this.
You should listen to the cover by HIM
One of the worst songs to listen to for someone new to Black Sabbath. Love Sabbath but HOD, outside of where it speeds up, is rather lame.
That's not the first black sabbath I have listened to..I listened to war pigs first..check it out on the channel..thanks for watching
@@PhiliminizzyReacts Ah, I misinterpreted the header. You're welcome and, yes, will check it out.
