    I miss the days when you can go have fun, if you get hurt you just role on. Now all places closing down because stuff like this. Someone flew out because not wearing a seat belt.... really....

    Rode it several times never any problems. Maybe they should use some common sense (if that exists anymore) and put the seat belt on

      @DeeJay Exactly, people actually think a thin piece of cloth is going to stop a virus lol. Meanwhile in labs scientists need full hazmat suits.

      I'm not sure how the subject of suffocation devices fits into this story. Masks have been used for thousands of years in Satanic rituals; they have never protected against a virus. The science was never there. They just wanted to see how easily controlled people are with fear mongering propaganda-- turns out they're super compliant.

      Shame, it looks fun. I must say that I wouldn't have rode the coaster anyways, just by seeing the safety belt. This coaster should have a metal safety belt just like theme park ones do.

      I would have not gone on it either after seeing that.

      We are here now and the guy at Mellow Mushroom said he got hurt pretty bad when it slung him out. We went to Goats on the roof and rode it everyday for 4 days and loved it but we wore seat belts

    If you’re getting hurt on these rides you’re doing it wrong. Wear the seatbelt. Keep arms and legs in the cart and enjoy. They are inspected continually. Always first class at Alpine in Pigeon Forge. Come on folks this is supposed to be the easy fun stuff. Always a ding dong in the bunch screwing it up for the rest of us.

    Well to tell you the truth right now is right right I’m at your own risk and if you’re stupid and go away too fast and take the curve you’re going to go flying off the thing sometimes people get injured because of their own stupidity.

      Yeah really

      @jayskestrel8130 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s absolutely incorrect.
      I have ridden this specific coaster MULTIPLE times. I never slow down at all. I do not apply the hand brakes until there are signs saying that I have too.
      I have yet to fall out of ANY mountain coaster doing this. The only way to fall out is if there is a problem with your seat belt, or if you purposely unbuckle your seat belt. The incident in 2016 was caused by a lady who purposely unbuckled her seat belt.

      From the ad it looked to me like the rider had a pedal to go faster & a brake pedal. Why didnt they just apply the brake and where were their seat belts?

    One wonders if there was a seat restraint and if it was used correctly? Doesn't that figure predominantly in this incident?

    I have rode this ride, it was awesome!!! You have to hold a heavy brake opening trigger the whole time you ride it. If you let go of this trigger the car slams to a stop immediately. I could see if a seat belt was not latched properly and letting off the handbrake quickly going fast down the hill or being hit from another car and getting launched off, still something obviously happened to the seatbelt. This buisness would be an easy target for someone wanting to take advantage of a legitimate and cool buisnesses. I am glad i was able to enjoy the ride. I used common sense and i didnt use the brake until i was getting close to another car, i checked my seat belt. If your not responsible over yourself, why should someone else be held responsible over you? Dont ride thrill rides if you cant handle them that is my advice, lesson learned move on!

    • @crooked-halo
      @crooked-halo ปีที่แล้ว

      Rode the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster a few times recently and there is no "trigger" on the brake handle that you hold that stops the car if you let go. There's only a brake handle which slows or stops your car if you pull it towards you.

    An anonymous group are actively seeking out the wussy's who have "claimed" to have been injured riding these coasters. When found, we are going to kick their asses for being such pansies. Coater's Lives Matter!

    Ya you yourself should check your belt and make sure your in safe and secure.
    But the ride opperater failed to correctly check and secure every rider and thats a bad thing .

    How about you look at a roller coaster, realize there's an extremely remote, very tiny, miniscule chance you could get hurt in an accident, make the decision to ride or not, and _take responsibility for the decision you made?!_ I'm a wood coaster hobbyist, I've ridden every wood coaster in the U.S. and China is next! I've ridden over 500 total coasters (wood & steel) and normally ride a minimum of 20+ times on a good wood coaster (normally much more, from 30-50 times). My family knows my wishes, which are in my will, that if I am ever hurt or killed on a roller coaster, that the _only_ legal action to be taken is to recoup the actual cost of whatever happens to me (medical, lost work, funeral etc), along with reasonable life expense necessities for my family (this is all detailed in my will).

    The woman who fell off in 2016 was going too fast and not wearing The restraint properly. If you don't follow Safety instructions you can get hurt.

    • @charlesyates6687
      @charlesyates6687 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should always check but tthe opperater should check each and every belt to be sure they are saf and secure before letting the cart leave the station.
