Radinn Electric Jetboard | My 3rd season review

  • This is my 3rd season as a Radinn Jetboard owner and I made this video to share my user experience. I have been waiting all winter to get back on the sea with the board. Its a fantastic feeling to fly on the water, much different from a jetski or a boat. I just love this product. Easy to ride, easy to get on the ocean and easy to own. Charging is really the only maintenance.
    Thanks for all the nice comments on my previous videoes. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
    Disclaimer: I am not a sports fanatic. I am just a family guy who now owns two boards. I am a regular customer and this video is not sponsored.

    Great videos, really motivating! Where do you buy the boards?

    Great videos - Im a longboard surfer based in SE England so very little waves w/out a long drive. If I may ask, how does the Radinn perform in choppy waters?

      For choppy conditions I would suggest the Radinn Freeride or the Carve if you what to be able to be a bit more aggressive. Both come with three keels that cuts into the waves.

    I just tested out a board and only got 15 minutes or so of ride time on a standard battery. The dealer said it was because the battery cells had not been "balanced" which he said could be done in the phone app. Is this accurate?

    • @jonmrk6831
      @jonmrk6831  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes this is accurate. The battery needs to be optimized from time to time. I do it about every month. Its as easy as tapping optimize on your phone next time you are charging. The downside is that it will take a long time to perform, but it works. I have an old ipad next to my charging station open up the app and hit «optimize battery» once I have plugged in the battery. The reason behind this as I have been told from customer support is that the battery is only as strong as the weakest cell. Just like a football team. The optimating levels out the voltage in some way. The battery will come back to normal performance level is my experience. I hope this helps. Otherwise contact customer support. They are very helpful.

    How much ride time to get from your boards Jon?
    I only get max 30 minutes (extended battery pack) of ride time with an average speed of 25-28 km/t. This seems way off from the the advertised 45 min. Especially since I'm not going full throttle.

      I have not really timed a continuous ride from full to empty so I cannot give you a firm answer. In general I am happy with the ride times, as I often take brakes and let other people try.

    Great review! Which board would you recommend for an avid wakeboarder?

    • @jonmrk6831
      @jonmrk6831  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have only beginners experience with wakeboarding myself which goes 10 years back so its hard for me to compare.

    Does the x-sport feels like the freeride? Any things in different you feelt between those two?

    • @jonmrk6831
      @jonmrk6831  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. They both feel about the same. The x-sport is a bit lighter. The freeride might be slightly more agile.
