Beach curl is tricky for me it’s one of my favourites but when I swam with it in Jamaica it was game over! it turned into a crispy nest ! I’ve tried it numerous times and I had different experiences each time. Love your videos Lia ❤

I just tried the beach curl for the first time for my Hawaii vacation and it was one of the absolute worst crochet hairs I've ever tried. Nothing i did made it better. It was a bird's nest on my head lol
lol I agree mine was like that the first time but I think it was because I split it so many times during the install. I tried it again and didn’t split it much (only twice in the back and middle) and it was a little better. It was still kinda ratty after a while but not as bad as before.
@kwilliams6 I'll try it again (ONLY because I have plenty of packs left) and split less to see if that works. It was so rough, I was embarrassed when someone touched it.

Hi Lia , I love your videos. When I am not wearing my natural hair in twist outs or wash n go's I wear crochet hair. I take like a 3 to 4 week between each crochet I wear. I came across a crochet hair that looks like a mix between Soft Dread and Soft Tex crochet hairs. Name of the hair is Mane Concept Afri Naptural Crochet Braid 3x Water Loc there is 12'' and 22". I live in GA and it's hot and humid here so my crochet's are always above shoulder length, shoulder length, and or a little pass shoulder length.

Ok sis... after studying your videos, my hair just arrived from Amazon and I'm about to do a crochet style on myself for the first time ever😮. I'm excited and scared lol. I'm soaking the hair in vinegar and hot water, then I may soak it in baking soda and water because I read that it can soften the hair and help it to last longer, idk... but I'm jumping in! Thx❤
Woww this is just in time you have no idea. I was going to do locs for June and July but this spring has been warm overall and my head has been hot so I change my mind. I have my natural hair in mini twist now but that will only last until june but I want a little bit of ommph going forward in July and August so I needed these recommendations. What do you use to moisturize your own scalp/hair while wearing the crochet style?
Not sure if you’ve considered mixing but I accidentally stumbled upon a Freetress Gorgeous Locs/Bohemian Braid style that turned out super cute. I installed this for a weekend trip to Germany with the hubs and I’ve had it in 4 weeks since.
I would consider mixing two hair that I’ve tried before. Mixing two hair that are new to me is hard because if the hairstyle goes left it’s hard to tell which hair was the main culprit.
