I love that this game abandons the grid format of so many other city builders. Like you said early in the video, growth is so natural and organic and that makes the city look very believable
Dutch person here, we still have those windmills in more rural places and although their functionality has been redundant due to technological process it's still very fascinating to visit and learn about them
Some of them are still vital and working parts of the Dutch polder system. Usually they are meant as backups in case of a power failure, but the Dutch still rely on them as water pumps!
Thought it looked very simplistic in the first video but there is so much depth to the actual building aspect and making things look the way you want. Im impressed.
As a Dutch person, I'm delighted by your joy at our windmills! Fun fact: we used windmills to pump away water and create land out of swamp and sea, all the way back in the 1600s!
I've had this game since very early on & I adore it, I'm so glad you did this playthru & I look forward to more from you in the future, vanilla or modded :D And yes, pathing & pacing has always needed work, but it's been much better than since early EA days :D
So as far as I understand it, when a construction is paused, it's not the builders bringing in materials, it's the transporters that have nothing else to do.
I believe the devs are aware of the pathing issue. It’s because 2 serfs try to use the same thing at the same time. So it gives you that notification till it’s free to use. Believes they will be patching the problem
I think the biggest pacing issue you had in the beginning was having some of your jobs too far spread from your residential area, given that your citizens have their free time in the house. This has been a thing since banished, and always required careful planning in terms of layout. You remedied/softened that problem at some point during the series, but I feel with the organic placement of houses, it's hard to do so efficiently the bigger you get.
definitely enjoy your video's @Pravus and this game has me hooked but I wont be buying the game myself until there's been more updates and fixes on it first, but suffice i to say, it does show promise, and I wouldn't have known about it or even looked at it had it not been for your videos so thanks for making and sharing, as such Stranded Alien Dawn also got on to my list of "to buy" cos of the series you did so thanks again for that one... :) i look forward to any future releases
You should play Rimworld again! The Biotech DLC is out. I am sure a lot of people will have fun watching you try it out. I am also sure you miss Rimworld ;)
Pravus you should def do a modded series of foundation. Also I kinda questioned the laws of the game when you said the resources for the bridge just teleported. It just does not compute or make sense. Must be a bug you stumbled across.
The BEST GAME EVER of this type and I don’t care what people say it’s The Settlers Rise of an Empire , I just wish someone will take that game , add more military options and strategies , bigger maps and general more detail and you will have the perfect game!
In a previous video you mentioned it took you like 18 minutes to build that fort, once you got the builders and supplies placed close. In doing so it seemed to take you from the lowest tier to pretty much maxed out.. yeah, 18 minutes doesn't seem like too much for that.

First an opinion lol, seems like you was trying to rush thru the game because you need to post the content, but I dont think a city builder game needs to be more fast than this... with THAT said, tip for every game you ever play, install "CHEAT ENGINE" , and simply SPEED UP the game. You can EASILY make macros so if you press the number 3 the game speeds up x10 for example, so you play at speed one 1, but then when you press the 3 the game actually speeds uip to x30 (x3 of the game itself and x10 from the engine) ... ofcourse you need a good PC

I like that it’s a pretty chill game. Like you could walk away for an hour and not come back to find it all burned down and abandoned.

It was 18 minutes to build like 8 flags not the actual fort
I know you're done with this run, but you can turn Snapping off, which would have really helped you with designing that church at the end.
