I'm definitely trying this for my E. Bulldog/Boxer who has been getting increasingly frequent UTIs for the past 4+ years. Went from Baytril to Zeniquin last year after having a bacteria culture done for a better targeted treatment, but she is now not even fully clearing the infections. Now my vet is worried about bacteria resistance. She put my dog on a twice weekly antibiotic treatment to keep her at the low bacteria level she is currently at now following having just finished a month of daily doses. I'm a groomer and have noticed on so many female dogs that they often will have either white-ish/red-ish/brownish yeast that grows or collects around their vulvas. Due to the shape of some dog's anatomies, the vulva will be enveloped (sometimes to the point that it is not visible) and the yeast has the perfect environment to flourish. So many female dogs I have had to untuck their vulvas to clean properly during the bath and to clip hair from around it. If she has allergies, that could make it even worse for her. You should check and make sure if you use any medicated shampoo to not forget this area.

Are you able to make the green tea ahead of time and put it in the fridge or is it best given right away? Same question goes to your natural antibiotic video recipe with garlic honey and water, make ahead or needs to be made per dose?
I wish I would have seen this video sooner. :( I lost my dog yesterday because of the Pyometra . If I would have known what to look for and what to do before hand I believe she would still be with me. I have cried so much. I have blamed myself and am told not to. But if I would have kept their water bowl filled like I was doing with the ACV maybe she wouldn't have died.

I would love to see a video for reoccurring ear infections. Ears get a lot of discharge and are wet. Any tips? (The dog has seen a vet a number of times and had to have various drops, but it always seems to come back). The ears are kept dry as much as it is possible.
Hound Life Vlogs my dog gets frequent ear infections if you go to petmeds.com you can buy Zymox I bought the one with hydrocortisone . it works soo much . treats numerous conditions and will save you a big vet bill.
My dog started to scratch his ear daily and I found a product at Petco or PetSmart I don't remember which but it was the brand Burt's bees and it was a natural camomile liquid. It prevented me from taking my dog to the vet and cleared up the ear infection I hope this helps
My dog would also get recurrent ear infections and after years I took him to a new vet who gave him Otopack. It lines the ears almost like vaseline and gets rid of the infection long term, cost $15 and he never got another infection after that.
Can you use caffeinated tea 🍵? Please response as soon as possible because I would like to use this method on my dog that has possible UTI. Thank you for sharing this video 🙏I subscribed after watching
NO!!! Why would you use caffeinated tea! When you have a UTI you want to STAY AWAY from CAFFEINE!!!!! I’m really surprised you would suggest caffeine for any animal and especially if you have a UTI!!!!
Are you out of your mind????!!!!! Caffeine dehydrated you as well as being so BAD for an UTI they tell you to stay away from caffeinated drinks. Why in the world would you even give caffeine to your pet it speeds up the heart and actually will make a UTI worse!!!! I can’t believe he said it was alright to use.
Can you speak about struvite crystals? My dog (Pomeranian) had 2 surgeries already at the age of 4 and he has been on prescription diet ever since. But he keeps developing them. Do you have any holistic treatments or suggestions?

Hello! My dog has Cushings. She is now doing great except she's having recurring UTI's. Her now normal water consumption seems to have made the UTI's. Along with the UTI's, she had skin fungal & ear infections; those are under control with Curaseb shampoos, antifungal ear cleaning & baytril/clotrimazole ear drops. I will try the local honey & probiotics next.
Looked this up as my dog has a mild UTI, very helpful, but ended up laughing at your labrador, they are absolutely eating machines, we had two when I was a teenager, and one of the found the dried food bag in a cupboard which he had opened, ate the lot, and had to have his stomach pumped, miss him though, that was a few years ago, thanks for the advice,
Great video, thanks again. I also swear by green tea and honey for people for antioxidant and antibacterial properties. The difficult thing with animals is getting them to drink it!
My dogs seem to be set off after eating post winter, thawing deer poop. Female spayed, no straining - just incontinent and feeling sick. Granted these dogs were hit with antibiotics for prior surgeries and/or Lyme
My 7 yr old pom mix has been diagnosed with UTI. She can hardly walk! Antibiotics and NSAIDS fluids the whole deal. 1000 so far. No improvement. Is it normal for them to not be able to walk? She is not spade and they said no Pyometra? Please help. Any suggestions?
Always useful info Dr. Jones. You've mentioned honey and the dandelion tincture in several other videos for various remedies. So sounds like these two items would be beneficial for my little shih tzu. My question is, do you just continue to give these remedies indefinitely as a preventatives?
My little poodle had 2 big surgeries for bladder stones, apparently she has both kinds. The last obe was 2 summers ago. I believe they also lavaged some of the stones. She has an ongoing uti for 2 years already, tge same lab comes up with tge same lust of antibiotics, nothing has worked, and some have terrible side effects. She niw gets a convenia shot, whih lasts 2 weeks if we are lucky, it diminishes tge awful odor when she pees, but it eventually comes back. That is apparently the only lab in the tristate area, all vets use it, but frankly I have my doubts. I tried cranberry piwder, i tried d-mannos, she cannit eat dog food because of uts copper content, and i give her dustilled water onky. I cook organic chicken, squash and greenbeans for her, with oat bran and flax seed added. Niw spparently her back legs have some popping out joint issue, but i live in NYC, if we walk, we go 10-20 blocks back and forth, thats pretty good. She is just turned 6. Thanks for any ideas! suggestions. She appears very tired and is sleeping alot. The vet said her bloodwork is normal. No thyroid issues, but she is niw 16-18 pounds, not eating so much to be that. She had ultrasound, they said tgere are stobes again, but not obstructing the bladder. Any ideas?

My dog has DM & is down in the back. She has had two UTIs and then I put her on the cranberry mannose pills. She now has another UTI. She refuses to drink hardly any water, and so I give her chicken broth with her food which she gets three small meals a day. She's only been off the antibiotics for about a week and the UTI is clearly back. I was going to try the green tea and honey, I was wondering if decaf green tea is okay? Also, does she need to be on antibiotics to first clear up the infection? Or will these remedies help to clear it up?
I just found your video last night. My 14 year old 45kg doggie keeps getting bladder infections. She has just finished her second lot of antibiotics tablets and before that she had two injections not long after each other. As soon as she finishes the courses of antibiotics her urine goes smelly again with the increased urinating inside. She drinks enough water. She has food allergy mainly to protian so is on a special diet for that and is on one tablet of Prednisolone every second day for the food allergy. Do you think these natural remedies would work for her considering her medication and food allergies? Thank you so much! 😊🐕
My SARDS dog was put on 1mg Medrol as an ongoing “supplement” by her holistic vet. The allopathic vet blames that for her UTI’s. She was found with Klebsiella Pneumoniae as is on Enroflaxacin 136mg 1/2tablet twice a day for 3 weeks. What natural treatment can I use to support the antibiotic? I am not comfortable with having her on it for so long. (Not sure if it’s related, but she has recently lost hearing in one ear) Thank you.

What about d-mannose? That works wonders in humans, and I know they have dog d-mannose treats. We are looking for answers for our nearly four month old female pup with abnormally frequent urination even for a pup but no uti crystals. The vet put her on Abx for slight vaginitis and could not explain the frequent urination. She has fluid in her slow bowl with food and is on pawzymes with probiotics, but I will try some of the other suggestions! Thank you!

2. Probiotics/Yogurt - @3:50
3. Honey and Green Tea - @5:00

Thanks Sher
Veterinary Secrets , what does blood in the urine mean ? Is this part of the infection ? 🌻
Thank you so much for sharing! Very informative.
my dog doesn't get utis but I am thinking about starting to add raw local honey to his diet for his allergies. green tea and acv have so many benefits too!
Good idea
D-Mannose will cure a bacterial UTI very quickly. Works in humans too.
Thank you for posting this. I just ordered some for my girl that is having problems as we speak.
Hello Dr your videos are very helpful I was wondering if you can recommend dry dog food brand for dogs prone to uti thank you hope to hear from you.
My dog had got cristal in his urine, and he is not drinking a lot...so i add water to his dry and wet food -royal canin urinary so. I add 600 ml to 80 grams (1 cup) of dry food- my dog eats 4 cups a day. I can add more water as dog is happy to` drink ` food, but i read that to much water will cause some imbalance on his body...my dog does not have urine infection, but he was bleeding and test showed crystals in urine..vet prescribed royal canin urinary so diet and that resolved problem of blending and dog seems so much better...
What was the last option we may not have heard of? Thank you
Hi! Will methylene blue ( a couple of drops in her water) will help too? It really helpt me...😊 Thank you so much for all your advices!
You are the Best!.. Thank you. Rosey Thanks you too!!
Are you able to make the green tea ahead of time and put it in the fridge or is it best given right away? Same question goes to your natural antibiotic video recipe with garlic honey and water, make ahead or needs to be made per dose?
Green tea oxidizes fast so I won’t advise.
@@VeterinarySecrets okay, thank you for the reply!
Crafting Patty sweet girl i know the feeling!! I just lost my corgi from kidney disease i blame myself!!
awww My heart feels for your loss.
Please, do not feel guilty. They are angels in heaven now. There are not suffering anymore. Is normal to feel that you did not do enough for your pet, but it wasn’t your fault, it was supposed to happen. God bless you 🤗🐾
Thankyou, I needed this. My poor girl is being put through the ringer. First its her immunity, then its allergiesand, then is the infection on her skin, then its fleas and her being allergic to the bites and flea medicine and now its a UTI...holy im getting tired of trying to figure this out ..
Thanks for your help
I would love to see a video for reoccurring ear infections. Ears get a lot of discharge and are wet. Any tips? (The dog has seen a vet a number of times and had to have various drops, but it always seems to come back). The ears are kept dry as much as it is possible.
Hi, I have one here: th-cam.com/video/t1S49twBP1c/w-d-xo.html
Yes you can
My dog is 12 with uti going on almost a year. Its recurrent or antibiotics are not working . hes probably immune to them since hes been given so many. Ive watched you got years. At this point I'm going to try these remedies as I do have full trust on your knowledge🙏 ty
Did the remedies worked?
@@panchokanpol4926 the dandelion tincture seemed to help . and Dr.mercola bladder support. But, he seems better then it comes back. I just purchased another dandelion bottle to start again. I'm done with Dr. Antibiotics it seems he is immune to them and only helps for few days too.
Hi Dr jones
I have a 14yrs old dog that was diagnosed with urinary tract infection. As soon as gave med to my pet, started vomiting.
I would like to try these home remedies instead of antibiotics.
Hows your dog now? Is the home remedies working ? I would like to try on my 7months old dog
Nice Ver👍, thank you so much.!! 🌷
You're welcome!
Hi Dr, thank you the great information you’ve provided! You had mention giving green tea but I would like to know if peppermint matcha tea would be ok for our dogs. Thank you again!
I'm glad I found this video. Ty doctor. My lab shes 2 yrs 4 months old n this is her second uti problem along with acidity . My vet gave her medication but I'm glad to know about the honey n green tea. I'll start right away.
Welcome
i am so glad i was referred to your channel! my dobie, spayed and 2.5 yrs old is incontinent sometimes. i will def try the flax (other great information video). but question on these suggestions for UTI's, instead of using a dropper to have her take it, could i just add the bit of tea and honey to her food? or the apple cider? Thank you Dr Jones!!
I will try the local honey & probiotics next.
thank you for this!
Thanks and I agree
Use a syringe
My dogs seem to be set off after eating post winter, thawing deer poop. Female spayed, no straining - just incontinent and feeling sick. Granted these dogs were hit with antibiotics for prior surgeries and/or Lyme
My 7 yr old pom mix has been diagnosed with UTI. She can hardly walk! Antibiotics and NSAIDS fluids the whole deal. 1000 so far. No improvement. Is it normal for them to not be able to walk? She is not spade and they said no Pyometra? Please help. Any suggestions?
I tried the honey remedy with green tea and saw results over the past few days!! My boy is back to peeing normally and his pee looks normal.
So glad to hear that! Please feel free ti share my videos.

Thanks I'm going to try it. Hopefully my doberman will drink it.
Always useful info Dr. Jones. You've mentioned honey and the dandelion tincture in several other videos for various remedies. So sounds like these two items would be beneficial for my little shih tzu. My question is, do you just continue to give these remedies indefinitely as a preventatives?
Hi and Thanks. I would only give them if there is a specific problem
Thank you
My little poodle had 2 big surgeries for bladder stones, apparently she has both kinds.
Any ideas?
There is some underlying cause-perhaps an outpouching in bladder. Have you tried the honey?
Veterinary Secrets wow, good potential diagnosis, an outpouching bladder, huh! I will try honey. You're brilliant!
Veterinary Secrets thanks!
Great video thank you q, what in your opinion would be the strongest natural antibiotic for a to help with uti thank you again love your videos they have bin helpful for me and my 2 dogs
Thanks for these amazing hacks! Sir can Urine obstruct due to UTI?
Great video- thank you! Which probiotic do you recommend?
Hi my 1 1/2 year old Aussie just got her first UTI , so wondering if you just pick one of the suggestions or can you do all. Thanks 😊
Great video, thank you for all the tips. Always good to know :)
Thanks
How about cranberry supplements, like the ones for people? Totally cleared up elderly family member.
Background music should be in background... good video.. wish I could hear u
I don’t have green tea at the moment can I use chamomile tea I won’t be able to get green tea until we go to the main store that’s 5 hours away we live in the hills in Mexico and we brought Lucy our dog 6 years ago with us she is 9 years old now and has been having trouble going to the peeps I started giving her honey and apple cider vinegar I’ll try the chopped garlic to Thankyou hopefully it will help
Hi thank for your information but my dog has blood in her urine can you please help thank you !
Hi Dr. Jones, is your honey mixture good for diabetic dogs? Thanks
No
My dog has DM & is down in the back.
Green tea as I understand is almost or completely caffeine free.
(Not sure if it’s related, but she has recently lost hearing in one ear)
Thank you.
My problem is the other way around my male 1 year old shitzu doesn’t urinate and poop much...please hlp🙏🥺🥺
Thank you for your video!
Welcome
@@VeterinarySecrets please help me with my dog
This will help me so much.
Happy to help!
Dr. Jones, So how do you measure a CFU? Going to try the yogurt for my 68 lb dog but not sure how to measure that
Dr will the green tea still work if it’s decaffeinated?
I really love your videos. Do you have any thoughts about the toxic Chemtrails ?
Thanks Joe - I have done any research on that topic
Hello...
My Dog was Dx. With
struvite and with Small calcium oxalate crystals.
She is 2 years old.
They prescribed her Royal Canin Urinary dog food.
I checked it out.
It has such horrible Reviews and Recalls.
And it is Super Expensive.
And I don't want to have to get her Food through Prescription only.
What do you think would be best for me to feed my Dog besides Raw foods.
I want to serve her cooked foods or a Dog food at the store.
I am going to try the green tea and honey too your suggested.
Thanks so much for All this info.
I have a Pomeranian- his urine was blocked some weeks ago and then over a course of antibiotics he got much better- however he still strains to pee. Just wanted to ask you doc is honey ok for a 4 kg Pom?
DR Jones
My vet says dogs are lactose intolerance.. What are your thoughts and I KNOW YOGERT IS GREAT and a teaspoon is not much , think its okay?
Thanks too!
Hi, many dogs can have issues digesting milk, but yoghurt is generally fine. Similar to many people
Thank you thank you thank you 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Thank you!
Great video thanks!!!
