Rampage, you need to seriously reset. Get your ego in check. Contact Tommy Angelo and get coaching. He's going to help your MIND and benefit your game immensely if you listen and learn.
This comes from the years of experience longer than you've been alive. And believe me, some massively larger stakes players than you have used him after already reaching nosebleed stakes.

You need to start playing lower stakes man. Play with 10k - 20k on the table no need to risk a huge portion of your net worth in a few games.

Ethan is a great guy. Willing to share all the highs and lows. He has humanized the poker scene. I hope he gets on a run again. Definitely a humbling experience for him which of course builds character. He will be successful somewhere as he has so much talent.

Ethan has a gambling problem. Just from him saying he wants to get the feeling of life or death is what 99% of gambling addicts go through, which is the dopamine rush.
Many think they lose because of Variance when truth is they just BAD.
@@user-mf2fd6dq8x I don't think Ethan is bad per say, but his gambling addiction is going to cause him to go broke pretty soon. The vast majority of poker players can't make it in poker because of a gambling problem like Ethan. The biggest sign of him having a gambling problem is just from him saying he has to constantly push the stakes and feeling life or death.
But he only plays poker to my knowledge. Gambling addicts gamble on everything.

The problem with over-aggressive players is that at start of their career they can hit a good run of luck and think their strategy is sound. When the luck turns they always find out the truth.
100%. If you watch Tom Dwan play today compared to when he first burst onto the scene he isn't the same wildly aggressive player he once was. He definitely made massive adjustments in his game. Isildur went broke.

But he's always played that way. I think he just needs to refine and get out of the tournament head space. If I teach him, he'll be great. He does need to know how to wager. He's like a typical Asian where chips aren't money.
If Rampage didnt get scammed by Dustin for$450k and simply bought crypto after the tourney win he would have ZERO worries

his explanation of how he got scammed by dustin the closer shows his astounding level of naiivety and illustrates why he will never be financially stable ...but he is a very nice guy and very good tournament poker player...
Very few poker players are competant with money....very few.
It's like a Broke convention in any poker room you go to.

I have watched Rampage for almost 2 years now. Based on what I've seen, he will soon be selling pencils in front of the Keno Lounge at Bally's. He is a punter.
Prolly but also you will never reach the stakes rampage reached in a few years.
By far my best show featuring Rampage , so transparent.
You don't have to "know someone personally" to tell the difference between someone playing sound poker but having a run of bad luck, and someone lighting piles of money on fire.
I like this guy, he's very honest. The problem when you play this level of stake is that you need to have the appropriate bankroll otherwise you gonna end up broke quickly.
He could have 200 million and would just keep playing bigger and bigger till he losses it all. I'd be very surprised if he isn't gambling mad on other casino games when not playing poker

@@paulcox9366 Maybe but I think he just doesn't have the adequat bankroll to play at this level. If you buy in for 500k in a cash game, you better have 10 Millions$ to disgest the downswing. To lose 1M in 3 sessions is not that much at this level.

He is an extremely likable guy...love watching his videos...he takes his wins and his losses in stride...very positive guy...👍🏽
I just gotta say a few things: first I would like to congratulate Nick and Valerie on a fantastic show. They both have this way of getting down to the nitty gritty facts. I mean at some points it's almost like an interrogation and it's awesome. Second I would like to say that this is some of the best content for poker players. And thirdly I just want to say thanks to Nick (and Valerie) for putting do much in to a show that may or may not pan out! Keep fighting! People will eventually see your show and watch it.
Veronica cannot comprehend how a fish like rampage has had as much success as he's had. Her mind was blown and she was going haywire.

Rampage's gabling addiction clouded his poker playing skills, which he is better than normal. He doesn't play poker anymore, just gambles, punting away hundreds of thousands.
A lot of people in these comments calling Ethan a beast and telling him to keep playing his game are just giving him more fuel to light his money and life on fire. He needs sound advice........ not people telling him to continue gamble all his money away.
I feel it was bash a man when he is down! He left feeling worse than the way he felt before the podcast.
Veronica really needs to listen more and speak less, and stop talking over Nick and your guest. The show is not about you.

Rampage sarcasm is kinda cringe
He’s an introvert that’s trying to be personable but it doesn’t come off as genuine. He doesn’t know how to have conversations so he resorts to his sarcastic responses as a comfort place. He does it a lot actually. Struggles of people who are socially awkward
It’s a defense mechanism
So he wins almost $1 million in a tournament. Then gives his money to a "friend" that scams him. The IRS still wants the taxes on that million. There's not a box on your tax form that says "I gave the money to a friend that scammed me". Hope he doesn't end up in trouble.

That's what I am thinking. WPT came to him because he gain a lot of viewers and winning as a younger player but he has been treating his winning as fast money due to his lucky break and got run. But like a roller coaster, when there is up, down will come.

I don't know how people back Rampage in cash games with his playing style. He has the right mentality, seeing poker chips as chips and not money, but that doesn't mean just punt it away with loose and bad play. Dude is living every poker players dream, and he might blow it soon. Sad really. And I've been a fan of his since the first few vlogs he did.
If he wins you double your investment vs others might only be 10-20% aka higher risk but higher reward.

Rampage is has an addiction. He needs to follow Marino gamble invest and think about the future. The poker world is full of broke early success stories.
Totally agree. Marino treats each poker session with more focus and like he earned from a 9/5 job. Punts happens but you can't make it like a joke and treating it like it's nothing and his bank account has infinite amount. The way he player, bluffing pre and on the river is not sustainable.
The way Rampage tries to laugh and joke about his degen tendencies while he also looks like he is dead inside is...questionable.

Most poker players, no matter how good, cannot survive solely on cash games. There is too much variance.
Survive as in pay the mortgage, car note, bills, plan for a college fund, daily expenses, retirement, etc.
That's why most look for other streams of income like TH-cam or endorsements.
Those thinking of going pro should know that it all ends the same.

So Rampage got alot of his revenue from private online poker clubs. He was getting a percent , there was alot of people. I believe that is one reason why he just goes all in and plays so aggressive. If it comes to you free or you didnt work to get it, not as valued
Nick does ask the questions people want to hear.
Ethan is a great person. Tons of heart. He is taking shots in positions that are absolutely wrong. He took years building bank and still has that old mentality after getting that 7 figures. Having the capability of crowd backing is completely different than having the capability of a million or more of my own cash. I play 21 with massive bank and have the big swings. I like HCL but Ethan should play nose bleeds elsewhere for the time being then return to HCL. He is a very worthy investment.

WSOP wont care he wins or loses. they care how much business he brought to them. meaning how many folks deposited using rampages ref!! if he enrolled 1000 folks and he gets 10% and each made a deposit of say 500 bucks!! 50*1000 and there it is his money for living in vegas decently. the other money he might be generating 50k on youtube is plenty to play tourneys and if he wins he can double up both the formats.
100k in WSOP ref and 100k in you tube is plenty of bankroll to play high roll 10k tournaments every week or 1k tourneys every day and every day hope to win 10k. what a deal!!!

once you hit million subscribers he will be shown on high tourney or cash tables where it is streamed that means he did not put all his money on top of his followers and referals. with it growing leaps by bounds due to other nations joining inn sky is the limit.

Ethan isn't rich, his net worth isn't even 1 million dollars.......and if he continues to gamble his net worth she will eventually leave him. This story has played out many many times for people with gambling addiction.

Most people are just big timing the online bracelet and ring events. I mean, for most people, that'll be their biggest win or accomplishment. Why belittle them? The wsop is going on in the summer. A bunch of people play the mix game events or plo because they have fewer players, but they never get dogged for that.
