if he tightened up like 25% on his bluffing frequency I think it would be an OK strategy, he's definitely putting his opponents to the test as seen by the tanks
I'm certainly no poker pro, so can someone explain why he's trying to value bet such a mediocre hand at 14:00 with a board like that? What's even the logic behind it? Hoping to get called by a pair of 9s? And even so, wouldn't the risk of being punished through re-raise outweigh the occasional reward of being called by a pair of 9s in the long run? I feel like intuitively, this play would make more sense both with a much weaker hand (cheap attempt at getting a pot you had no chance for on showdown) or stronger hand (trying to get value). With a hand like this, I'd be happy to check into the showdown.
