I love Vetiver. I am very intrigued by that one. My favourite so far is Sultan Vetiver by Nishane. Love that one. I even bought a second bottle so I do not run out!..... Nice t shirts!
Loden refers to a thick woolen cloth used for outer clothing or a variable color averaging a dull greyish green (from Merriam-Webster). It is a thick and waterproof type of wool found originally in Germany ;)

Vetiver is probably my favorite note, and I’ve never seen top to bottom vetiver before. Hi Dalya and Sebastian. As always another great video. You guys work well together! Le Loden is a great Vetiver. The name also acutely describes the scent. The Loden is a classic wool overcoat for fall and winter. Just imagine a little rain on you women coat. That dampness o damp smell when you get home is exactly what you’re getting, plus some other notes. Just wonderful. The Vetiver that I own and and that I like the most is Incident Diplomatique but I also own Emotional rescue by Buxton, Mona do Orio’s Vetiver, guerlain’s Vetiver to name but a few. Le Loden will be a great addition to my collection. So just send it to Belgium ;)!

I love vetiver. It's so dynamic and gorgeous. A miracle of nature. The ginger note in this sounds fun. My favortie vetiver currently is vetiver veritas by heeley. It's bone dry, breezey, minty, sophisticated and modern, bold yet a very intimate skin scent. I'm in love with it.

Great review of this house guys. At first spray I initially thought this was going to be a carbon copy of Encre Noir as the opening is really similar. However, as it transitions in to the middle, that smooth quieter character you noted is a really lovely transition. Just ordered the full sample set and looking forward to trying the Cecile Zarokian fragrances too from this house as well as the Maffei colabs.
Love the tee and good to see Dalya even though you shot the film previously. I love vetiver but I look hard for one that is just right. The idea of ginger to up the aromatic aspect sounds really good to me. My current favourite vetivers are from Mona di Orio and Sortilege with the latter having a slight edge as a slightly more feminine wear. I’m from Birmingham UK
Thanks for the review Sebastian. Always a big fan TF's Grey Vetiver. Haven't explored a lot of the other houses though with focus mainly on the vetiver note. Great video. Vetiver fan right here love the stuff. The colour of the juice is very inviting too. Loben, by the way is a thick, heavy waterproof woollen cloth with a short pile, used to make garments, especially coats. 👍🏻

Nice to see Le Loden get its own review. Especially after seeing Dalya have such a positive reaction to it the first time she smelled it your 8 Awesome Veitivers video. I am liking the idea of perfumers exploring the combination of different vetivers in a single fragrance and Le Loden just so happens to combine my three favorite types. Wow. Current favorite; it is a tossup between Nishane Sultan Vetiver and Hermes Bel Ami Vetiver - I can't choose, they are both great. Le Loden would certainly fit in and get some love in my collection. I'm in tailoring business and I know well Loden is actually a fabric, back in the days considered to be a peasant's clothes in Germany. Nowadays it's actually pretty expensive to make, and work with. Traditionally it's dark green color. I'm 100% sure the name Le Loden has to do with the fact, Jacques Fath were famous with its top of the line quality trenches made from Loden. It's what they made themselves known for, and actually the epitome of a trench coats are theirs . Simply the best! Much later Burberry actually copied blatantly most of Jacques Fath trenches design's from the 50s and 60s . Le Loden I'll gladly wear while working with clients , classy one. My favorite vetiver fragrance is the classic Vetiver Guerlain . Thanks for the draw. USA

My current vetiver favorite is Lalique's encre noire a l'extreme, and my close second is Dr. Harris Windsor, which is a more leathery barbershop take of Terre d' hermes. The boozy aspect of this vetiver combined with the tobacco sounds great to me. Greetings from Athens-Greece and thank you Sebastian for reviewing so many perfumes. I'm a vetiver addict, literally. There's something so good about vetiver root. It's fresh and earthy, warm and smoky at the same time. I could bathe in it! I love how Le Loden sounds since it reminds me of one of my favourite (if not my favourite) vetiver scent: Vetyver by Mona di Orio (older version). It also features ginger which adds this fresh quality that you mentioned in Le Loden. And omg three different vetivers. That's vetiver heaven! I also wonder how the raspberry note acts in this one. I do own a few vetiver fragrances: MdO Veytver, L'Antichambre le Vetyver, and Miller Harris Vetiver Insolent. Commenting from Belgium!

I'm craving after trying L'Iris de Fath but back to Le Loden the ginger vetiver combo particularly sounds promising. As a magnetic cap fanatic, that one is an added extra. The one and only Guerlain Vetiver is my all time reference point although I consider that as a tobacco frag with vetiver dry-down. I live in Hungary.

Jacques Fath I have experience with, the Fath Pour L'Homme from the old line and Curacao Bay are both really pleasing. Le Loden is more formal, I would wear it with a suit. Grey Vetiver Tom Ford EDT is vetiver I wear the most is the spring and summer. Thank you for the opportunity Richmond Virginia

Great review Sebastian. I love vetiver in my fragrances it gives that fresh, clean earthy vibe. One of my favourites fragrances that has vetiver was Guerlain Vetiver - it has that classy, fresh grown up feel. However I recently discovered Roja Parfum Vetiver Pour Homme and that just vetiver to another level. I love the fact that Le Loden are back making fragrances. The mixture of notes also in this scent sound like something that u would like. The presentation is also very nice and that cap sounds 👌 love magnetic caps. I'm from London, UK. My favourite is probably Sycomore. To my nose vetiver is such a dominant note in most vetiver fragrances, such that the other notes are drowned out or end up clashing negatively. I really enjoy Sycomore (I had a sample) as it has a harmony to it which to me other vetivers lack. This fragrance looks like it might achieve something similar, or at least I'm hoping it does. Newbie fraghead from Washington state in the U.S. I adore vetiver- it’s one of my favorite notes thus far and the most intriguing part of this fragrance to me is the three different kind of vetivers in the the top, heart, and base notes. My current favorite vetiver fragrance would actually have to be a toss up between Le Labo Vetiver 46 (I love the deep, smokey, vibe but this one also pulls pretty sweet on me) and Essential Parfums Mon Vetiver (so fresh!). Also, if it’s anything like coffee “bourbon vetiver” might be a varietal rather than a location, and it would be pronounced “ber-bone”.
I loooove vetiver fragrances so I would be eager to get my nose around Le Loden. I'm on my 4th bottle of Guerlain's Vetiver; it's often my default fragrance. (Although my most recent bottle does not seem to be quite how it used to be.) My favourite vetiver fragrance of the last couple years is Fat Electrician by Etat Libre d'Orange. Le Loden sounds like a nice fragrance for the spring and autumn, and eventually summer nights, if it’s a bit colder. Woody and earthy, and on top of all it’s made by Luca Maffei. I find Le Loden to be an interesting take on vetiver to both have a smoky quality to it while simultaneously having a damp marshland-like side to it as well. Quite the duality if you ask me. Still my favorite vetiver is Encre Noire. I don't think anything can beat it for me (Maybe Sycomore but I haven't tried that one yet). From the Philippines.

I'm still looking for the perfect vetiver. Many years ago Crabtree and Evelyn made a vetiver soap that was the best vetiver I've ever smelled. I know it's not perfume but it acted like it when you washed with it. Unfortunately it was soon discontinued after I found it. I'm in the USA. I'm intrigued by your description. Wow thanks for the great review again. I haven't got a chance to experience this house yet but Le Loden seems a very nice blended, rounded vetiver. I also enjoy wearing vetiver on rainy days! My current favourite vetivers are Serge Lutens Vetiver Oriental and Lalique Encre Noire L'Extreme. I reside in Hong Kong.
Like others, I love your reviews with Dalya! I can’t wait to try this. Right now I’ve been trying out TdH Eau Intense Vetiver, but still love Fat Electrician more. Another good one is Vetiver Insolent, which can be found for a great price.

I love vetiver. It's so dynamic and gorgeous. A miracle of nature. The ginger note in this sounds fun. My favortie vetiver currently is vetiver veritas by heeley. It's bone dry, breezey, minty, sophisticated and modern, bold yet a very intimate skin scent. I'm in love with it.

Great review of this house guys. At first spray I initially thought this was going to be a carbon copy of Encre Noir as the opening is really similar. However, as it transitions in to the middle, that smooth quieter character you noted is a really lovely transition. Just ordered the full sample set and looking forward to trying the Cecile Zarokian fragrances too from this house as well as the Maffei colabs.
Love the tee and good to see Dalya even though you shot the film previously. I love vetiver but I look hard for one that is just right. The idea of ginger to up the aromatic aspect sounds really good to me. My current favourite vetivers are from Mona di Orio and Sortilege with the latter having a slight edge as a slightly more feminine wear. I’m from Birmingham UK
Thanks for the review Sebastian. Always a big fan TF's Grey Vetiver. Haven't explored a lot of the other houses though with focus mainly on the vetiver note. The only thing im curious about Le Loden is the tobacco note. Big tobacco fan so now im more curious about this. Anyways more power! I love the shirt sir! Very cool design and congrats !

Nice to see Le Loden get its own review. Especially after seeing Dalya have such a positive reaction to it the first time she smelled it your 8 Awesome Veitivers video. I am liking the idea of perfumers exploring the combination of different vetivers in a single fragrance and Le Loden just so happens to combine my three favorite types. Wow. Current favorite; it is a tossup between Nishane Sultan Vetiver and Hermes Bel Ami Vetiver - I can't choose, they are both great. Le Loden would certainly fit in and get some love in my collection. I'm in tailoring business and I know well Loden is actually a fabric, back in the days considered to be a peasant's clothes in Germany. Nowadays it's actually pretty expensive to make, and work with.
Traditionally it's dark green color.
I'm 100% sure the name Le Loden has to do with the fact, Jacques Fath were famous with its top of the line quality trenches made from Loden. It's what they made themselves known for, and actually the epitome of a trench coats are theirs . Simply the best! Much later Burberry actually copied blatantly most of Jacques Fath trenches design's from the 50s and 60s .
Le Loden I'll gladly wear while working with clients , classy one.

My current vetiver favorite is Lalique's encre noire a l'extreme, and my close second is Dr. Harris Windsor, which is a more leathery barbershop take of Terre d' hermes.

I am getting more and more into Vetiver and like to test whatever I can. A Jacques Fath in my collection would be great. My favorite Vetiver is actually "Vetiver" by Etro, a house that has to get more attention in FragComm. Maybe you could do a video on them and feature some of their fragrances? That would be lovely.

I'm a vetiver addict, literally. There's something so good about vetiver root. It's fresh and earthy, warm and smoky at the same time. I could bathe in it! I love how Le Loden sounds since it reminds me of one of my favourite (if not my favourite) vetiver scent: Vetyver by Mona di Orio (older version). It also features ginger which adds this fresh quality that you mentioned in Le Loden. And omg three different vetivers. That's vetiver heaven! I also wonder how the raspberry note acts in this one. I do own a few vetiver fragrances: MdO Veytver, L'Antichambre le Vetyver, and Miller Harris Vetiver Insolent. Commenting from Belgium!

I'm craving after trying L'Iris de Fath but back to Le Loden the ginger vetiver combo particularly sounds promising. As a magnetic cap fanatic, that one is an added extra. The one and only Guerlain Vetiver is my all time reference point although I consider that as a tobacco frag with vetiver dry-down. I live in Hungary.

Jacques Fath I have experience with, the Fath Pour L'Homme from the old line and Curacao Bay are both really pleasing. Le Loden is more formal, I would wear it with a suit.
Grey Vetiver Tom Ford EDT is vetiver I wear the most is the spring and summer.

Great review Sebastian. I love vetiver in my fragrances it gives that fresh, clean earthy vibe. One of my favourites fragrances that has vetiver was Guerlain Vetiver - it has that classy, fresh grown up feel. However I recently discovered Roja Parfum Vetiver Pour Homme and that just vetiver to another level. I love the fact that Le Loden are back making fragrances. The mixture of notes also in this scent sound like something that u would like. The presentation is also very nice and that cap sounds 👌 love magnetic caps. I'm from London, UK. My favourite is probably Sycomore. To my nose vetiver is such a dominant note in most vetiver fragrances, such that the other notes are drowned out or end up clashing negatively. I really enjoy Sycomore (I had a sample) as it has a harmony to it which to me other vetivers lack. This fragrance looks like it might achieve something similar, or at least I'm hoping it does. Hello! Newbie fraghead from Washington state in the U.S. I adore vetiver- it’s one of my favorite notes thus far and the most intriguing part of this fragrance to me is the three different kind of vetivers in the the top, heart, and base notes. My current favorite vetiver fragrance would actually have to be a toss up between Le Labo Vetiver 46 (I love the deep, smokey, vibe but this one also pulls pretty sweet on me) and Essential Parfums Mon Vetiver (so fresh!).
Also, if it’s anything like coffee “bourbon vetiver” might be a varietal rather than a location, and it would be pronounced “ber-bone”.
I like that it has several layers of vetiver. My favorite vetiver is Atelier Cologne’s Vetiver Fatal and I’m from the USA.
I loooove vetiver fragrances so I would be eager to get my nose around Le Loden. I'm on my 4th bottle of Guerlain's Vetiver; it's often my default fragrance. Le Loden sounds like a nice fragrance for the spring and autumn, and eventually summer nights, if it’s a bit colder. Woody and earthy, and on top of all it’s made by Luca Maffei.
I do own 100ml of Curacao Bay , and because someone could be “There’s no 100ml bottle of Curacao Bay” - there is you you split with a friend the bigger 200ml bottle Jacques Fath are selling .

I remember Ashley’s enthusiasm about vetiver and Encre Noir à l’Extrème in particular and I just want to say me too!! Wondering if you know D600 by Carner Barcelona? I find Le Loden to be an interesting take on vetiver to both have a smoky quality to it while simultaneously having a damp marshland-like side to it as well. Quite the duality if you ask me.
Still my favorite vetiver is Encre Noire. I don't think anything can beat it for me (Maybe Sycomore but I haven't tried that one yet).

I'm still looking for the perfect vetiver. Many years ago Crabtree and Evelyn made a vetiver soap that was the best vetiver I've ever smelled. I know it's not perfume but it acted like it when you washed with it. Unfortunately it was soon discontinued after I found it. I'm in the USA. I'm intrigued by your description.
